Dark world.
Little mortal, frowning deeply, was running towards a certain direction in this world of complete darkness.
The Guardian token and the space mirror connected to it could see nothing but darkness.
But in Little Mortal's eyes, things were different.
"Little mirror, are you sure we are moving towards the right direction the last ti you checked?"
Every now and then, Little Mortal would go back to the normal world to check the coordinates of their destination with the space mirror and see if he is moving in the right direction.
Little mortal looked at the two golden lines going in front of him towards the horizon in this darkness, and his face beca even more puzzled.
The two lines were the sa lines he saw before.
The lines connected to his birth treasures, Lilith, and his gold ring.
Now, one of the two lines was connected to his gold ring, and the other to the guardian token.
And he was actually going in the sa direction as these lines...
While puzzled, he kept going and occasionally returned to the normal world to check the coordinates with the space mirror.
An hour later, he stopped, exited the dark world, and said,
"Little mirror, open a passage back to Planet Lubo."
The space mirror, who knew they were still far from their target, asked,
"Yes, I just want to make preparations.
Sothing here doesn't look right."
While puzzled, the space mirror opened a passage.
After returning to planet Lubo, Little Mortal entered the dark world again, removed the gold ring, placed it on the dark ground, and began running towards where the golden line was leading him once more.
The space mirror didn't understand why he left his 'Fate ring' behind, but it didn't say anything.
This little guardian never did anything without reason.
The journey in the dark world started again.
After around 5 hours without asking for directions, and just running after the golden line, Little Mortal stopped.
In the 'eyes' of the space mirror, there was still nothing in front of them except darkness, and Little Mortal was moving towards no peculiar destination.
But in the eyes of Little Mortal, the two golden lines actually reached their end, and now they were going down to the ground not far away from them.
One line was still connected to his guardian token, and the other was connected back to the ring he left behind.
The sa lines that he followed until now.
Little mortal gulped down nervously and asked,
"You can't tell how far from our destination we are now, can you, little mirror?"
"I think we are close, but things are really suspicious."
"I don't know.
I'm just suspicious about sothing that I can't tell you about.
So here is what we do.
I take us back to the Normal world,
If we didn't see anything, you check our distance from the coordinate you locked on, and tell how far we are.
Then I'll tell you what we should do next."
"But!
If we went out, and we saw sothing unusual,
And by unusual, I an anything, it doesn't matter what, open a passage back to our territory and leave with the guardian token imdiately!
And don't worry about space fluctuation, I cover your passage in my domain."
The Space Mirror felt like this little monster was actually anxious for so reason, and that wasn't a good sign!
Little mortal nodded,
"Yes, I can use that ring to find my way back."
Only now, the space mirror understood why he had left the ring there.
So it was his guide to go back if needed.
Little mortal took a deep breath, and after saying "Let's go!" exited the dark world.
The next mont, they appeared in the void of the normal world, the space mirror imdiately opened a passage, and the guardian token rushed inside without hesitation.
In a split second, the small passage that was only enough for the guardian token to enter was closed, with only a ssage left behind for Little Mortal.
There was indeed sothing very, very unusual here, and Little Mortal's second order needed to be executed without hesitation.
It wasn't like the guardian token and space mirror were scared or anything...
anwhile,
Little mortal ignored the ssage because he was frozen on the spot while looking at the view that scared the space mirror connected to the Guardian Token to run imdiately.
At the center of the view unfolded before him was a mainland.
Not big and not small.
The sa size as a level 2 civilization mainland, if not smaller.
But unlike any mainland he saw before, this one's surface was gleaming with cityscapes all over.
From different places, massive space elevators were connected to the planets in the Mainland's atmosphere.
10 planets, 10 elevators.
The mainland was motionless, not rotating or moving in any direction.
Just fixed in the space.
Farther away from the 10 planets in its orbit, there were 100 other mainlands, all level 2 civilizations.
One glance and you could tell they were like 'guards', protecting the advanced-looking mainland at the center.
These 100 'guard-mainlands' were like a ring around it.
And farther away, was a second 'ring' of mainlands orbiting around the central mainland, which were the sa gray version that Little Mortal was familiar with.
Evil mainlands.
After counting them, Little Mortal was sure that they were the remaining mainlands that their connection with the underworld was completely 'off' now.
Because there was no 'red dot' on them, it was obvious that they didn't have any lava sea anymore.
There were around 500 of them.
Little Mortal muttered to himself,
"3000 Mainlands were feeding the Underworld at first.
I gathered more than 300, and there are fewer than 500 evil mainlands here.
From their size, I can tell all of them are level 10.
It ans they have eaten the rest of the missing mainlands, or they were transford to level 2 civilization mainland..."
Little mortal then looked at three peculiar mainlands that were still green.
And only these three mainlands had red dots on them, which were a lot bigger than the usual ones he had seen before.
It seems they were connected to the underworld.
Little mortal stroked his chin in confusion,
"How are these three mainlands still connected to the underworld, but I never entered either of them while I was challenging the mainlands through the lava sea?
Where is the lava sea on them connected to?"
Not getting any answer, his gaze moved farther away, outside of the second ring made of these 500 mainlands.
There, he didn't see a 'ring' anymore, but millions upon millions of bubbles!
"So many universes...
But how is it that everyone here is living so peacefully together?
Why is there no conflict?
Aren't all of them Evil?
And....
What in the world is THAT?"
What Little Mortal cared about the most in this 'view' was the big pulsing brain above the most prominent and tallest tower on the central mainland.
"Don't tell that's 'Hypermind'?
Did I just find the final boss that we weren't even sure existed just like that?"
Little mortal gulped down,
"How big is that thing?
How can I see it so clearly from this distance?"
The brain was indeed large enough to resemble a tiny moon near the central mainland.
After a while observing it in silence, he went back to the dark world.
There was now one single golden line going towards the horizon.
Because the guardian token wasn't with him anymore, only the line connected to the gold ring was visible.
Little Mortal rubbed his chin while frowning,
"This line only appears when I bring so specific things from the normal world here.
The only thing left on this side at the mont is my gold ring,
Which is the representative of 'Fate' that I got as a reward.
Looking at the distance, it's going to the 'ground' exactly where that big brain is, so..."
Little Mortal scratched his head and walked towards the 'end of the golden line'.
"Okay, let look where it connects."
And his figure slowly sank to the ground.
It was as though he was in a higher dinsion, and now he was going back to the lower dinsion, which was the normal world, but not directly.
Instead, he was going down layer by layer.
When he went one layer down, he entered a familiar world with a 'gold the'.
Looking around, Little Mortal nodded.
"Alright, this is where newborns co after being reborn to find their way back to their mainlands.
The 'fair ground' that higher beings can make deals is here sowhere, too."
Then he started falling from the 'sky' of this world.
On his way, Little Mortal saw a big golden 'Mobius strip'.
"Is this what the golden line connected to?
I ca down exactly from the sa point that the golden line entered the ground.
So it should be it?"
Little Mortal landed on the Mobius strip and looked at it blankly for a while.
And then, as if he recognized it, he gasped in shock.
"Oh my goodness!
It's you, little Fate!
Who else but you would have such a shape?
The shape of a Möbius strip,
No matter where you start or how you move along its path, you always return to the sa continuum!"
While pleasantly surprised at finding the source of the fate law, which still couldn't hear him or feel his presence even so close to it,
Little Mortal felt sothing and looked underneath 'Fate', and his eyes widened in shock!
"What in the world is this dude doing here?"
Beneath Fate, which wasn't that big, maybe only as big as a house, he saw the big pulsing brain from outside.
But while it was here, it wasn't here either.
Its figure appeared as a flickering, ever-changing shape; sotis it was stretching, duplicating, vanishing.
It seems always to be present, yet never fully manifested in this dinsion.
Little Mortal covered his mouth with both hands and ran back to the dark world.
"What in the world did I just see?
If I had a heart, it would beat like crazy now...
No wait!
That brain wasn't there... Its state was like soone who is 'peeking' inside from the keyhole!
Hmph, what am I scared of?
Let go recheck it!"
After taking a deep breath, he went back 'down' again.
He then started observing the illusory brain in silence.
From the brain, so thin lines that kept getting connected and disconnected were attached to Fate.
If the thin lines stayed connected for less than 1 second, nothing special would happen.
But if they stayed connected for more than 1 second, sothing like 'liquid stardust' would co down from Fate Source, and then it would be absorbed by the illusory brain.
After that, an image would appear above the surface of the brain that was showing an event with different entities and places.
Little Mortal's jaw dropped when he saw the random 'future, present, and past' events appearing and disappearing like they were showing different possibilities.
And as if lots of unanswered questions were answered, and many undiscovered secrets had been discovered, Little Mortal, with a surprised face, went back to the dark world and started running back towards where the golden ring he left behind!
...
A couple of hours later, a panicked version of Little Mortal appeared on the silver platform.
Before the birth treasures who heard about the situation from the space mirror could ask anything, he picked up his whiteboard and disappeared again.
...
Back in the dark world, Little Mortal with his whiteboard appeared, and then he ran to a place without any phantoms around.
He placed the whiteboard down, picked up the marker, and started writing.
[ The Theory of the Fallen Fate ]
His hand was slightly trembling when he wrote the sentence.
His face filled with disbelief.
He continued writing.
[ My analysis of what I just saw:
1. The golden lines are special Fate connections without a doubt.
2. Depending on how important the Fate piece is, the line brightness changes, like that silly robot line, which was too bright.
3. Fate doesn't know about Hypermind peeking from underneath it due to its blindness.
4. Hypermind is peeking into random events connected to fate sohow.
5. What in the world should I do now that Fate can indirectly rat out to the enemy final boss at any mont? ]
Little Mortal paused and started muttering to himself,
"Fate isn't connected to , or I had a line too, so hypermind can't gain any information about directly... Which is good.
What's important now is to find what is connected to fate from my side that can expose ...
Yes, let's start with that!"
Then his figure disappeared.
First, he went to the silver platform.
"Everyone, assemble!
In person!"
The birth treasures who heard him saying 'in person' called those who weren't around to co imdiately.
If he said to gather in person, then it was sothing serious.
When all of them were gathered, Little Mortal took them all to the dark world.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author's consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.
Then he saw a golden light connected to them and said in shock,
"All of you have it?
No wait, little notebook and little crystal don't have it!"
While the birth treasures didn't know what they had, Little Mortal pointed at the guardian token,
"Are you connected to anyone?"
[ Yes. ]
"Disconnect then, just be yourself."
[ Affirmative. ]
And when the guardian token did as he was told,
"Oh my goodness, why is it so bright!"
The fate line connected to the guardian token 'itself' was so bright that Little Mortal took them all back imdiately.
Not long after, he returned to where he had left his whiteboard and wrote,
[ New discoveries:
- 'Fate line' is connected to all of my birthday gifts, except 'notebook', and 'child crystal'.
- Guardian token line was extrely bright, showing its importance.
It was even brighter than that robot.
Next steps:
1. Check the Fate connection of everybody else who knows about you.
2. Look for others with bright light. ]
And then left again in a hurry.
Not long after, every single person from his special force and followers experienced what the dark world looks like.
Ten minutes later, Little Mortal was back at his whiteboard.
[ Planet Lubo investigation result:
- Everyone had the line, except Rose, Luna, the tree brats, and my followers.
Conclusion:
The characters who didn't have a line should be 'Unimportant' in the eyes of Fate. (They are now important characters in the story only because I entered their lives?)
But those who were originally big shots all had the fate line.
Next step:
- Mainland investigation. ]
....
Mainland.
The castle of Entertainnt Goddess.
Entertainnt Goddess, oblivious of the panicked crowd outside, who all experienced a temporary 'dark world' for a split second for no reason, was now trying to edit the movie's final product for the old man.
She had already gathered the 'origin stories', and with her law, she could just make it without the actors.
She only needed to summon their avatars, manifest the environnt they described, and record their origin story by herself.
At this mont, she heard a sudden 'Bam' and, startled, looked at the door that had been kicked open with wide eyes!
Who infiltrated her castle without her notice?
What's the point of her being level 10 if anyone can co to her castle anyti they feel like it?
And when she saw the one kicking her door open and running towards her, she was even more shocked!
"Why in Heavenly Father's na can't I still feel your presence, Little Mortal!?"
The one who barged in was Little Mortal, who had finished testing the people outside and was now coming to the last person.
While running to her, Little Mortal shouted,
"Hello, big sister!
Sorry, but I'm in a hurry!
First, close your eyes and try to feel my presence."
Entertainnt Goddess rolled her eyes at him,
"I told you just now that I can't sense your presence!"
But Little Mortal jumped up and down, saying,
"One more ti, one more ti!
See if you still can't!"
Entertainnt Goddess gritted her teeth and was going to twist his ear and give him a lesson, but her crystal sent her a private ssage,
But the crystal said,
< I don't know either, master... >
The crystal knew that if the little monster was doing sothing even its trusted comrades, the birth treasures, didn't know about, then it wasn't a good thing.
The only one who seed to receive a secret order was the guardian token, which didn't reveal what it was.
While feeling stressed, the crowd looked up.
The single bubble connected to the Mainland actually cut off its connection with them!
The stunned crowd only had ti to say one word,
"Why!?"
And the next second, a disaster fell upon them.
The Mainland started spinning all of a sudden!
So fast that they were launched into outer space with their castles!
While panicked, the white canary tried to gather them all in one place.
But before they could take a breath, they felt shock waves of collision and explosion behind them.
Looking back with stiff bodies, they saw thousands of suns connected to the Mainland were now smashing together and exploding left and right!
It was as if the apocalypse had begun in the blink of an eye without any background music or build-up...
With blank faces, covered in cold sweat,
They looked down at the Mainland again and saw another apocalypse happening there!
On the Mainland's surface, at this mont, a sphere with a diater of more than 300 kiloters was turning everything to powder!
They didn't even know what in the world this thing was, but it was 'scratching' the Mainland's surface deep and wide!
It was as if sothing was trying to 'clear' a layer of skin with a depth of 300 kiloters from the Mainland's surface.
Trees, rocks, deserts, Level 2 civilizations' structures, and everything on the Mainland's surface turned to dust while it kept rotating faster and faster, and even the dust disappeared soon after!
After a couple of minutes, the Mainland stopped spinning.
The new 'bald' Mainland ca into view.
When the crowd saw it, they couldn't help but gasp!
The new 'shaved' Mainland was now completely white, like a shiny, beautiful pearl, emitting different colors of light...
But before they could enjoy the beauty of the 'clean' Mainland, they suddenly felt a suction force from behind.
They turned around while shivering, and to their horror, they saw all of the remains of the suns and spaceships that exploded or crushed into each other,
were now being sucked into a dark area with nothing inside, as if a black hole suddenly appeared out of nowhere!
Everything around began to be devoured by this dark area at an unimaginably fast pace.
Even the Mainland itself was being pulled towards it.
The crowd, after feeling the gravity coming from it, knew there was no way to escape!
So of them even shouted for Heavenly Father to co and rescue them.
And the rest felt speechless.
If it's not Heavenly Father himself doing all of this, who else could it be?
So those who discovered their mistakes started shouting, 'Heavenly Father, stop!'
The previous group was going to roll their eyes at them, but the apocalypse actually stopped...
Heavenly Father answered their 'prayers'!
As the gravity force disappeared, the crowd looked at the sky blankly with their hearts beating wildly.
In the sky, though, except for the one single bubble, nothing else existed now.
All of the suns, along with their remains, were completely devoured.
The spaceships that were floating in random places were the sa; none of them existed anymore.
Entertainnt goddess, with a trembling voice, said,
"N-Now, that's a real void..."
The sky was now 'void' indeed, if you ignored the big bubble connected by a white pillar to the Mainland.
"Eeeeh?
We are connected again!"
Only now did the crowd co back to their senses and see that the bubble was connected back to the Mainland.
But this ti, the raw law coming from it was so much that it looked like a pillar!
The crowd looked at the pure raw law going to the Mainland, and a big part of it going straight to the one single bright red dot, the lava sea, and how 'clean' and beautiful their Mainland was,
and they couldn't help but rember what the Mainland said to the senior manager not long ago...
"A necessary purge..."
The white canary looked at the sky blankly and wondered why that old man's way of doing things was so sudden, violent, and savage.
Entertainnt goddess suddenly rembered sothing and chuckled,
"I bet you can be sure now that your birth treasures weren't buried sowhere in the Mainland..."
The crowd without birth treasures,
"-_-"
Are you sure they aren't 'gone'?
