The sudden change of Lin irong's face from white to red then back to white amused Shen Lingqing. Was she really that stupid to go to a place where she wasn't welcod at all? Did she really think that the Shen family was oblivious to what she'd done to Li Xiuying, who was close to Shen Lingqing's older siblings?
Shen Lingqing's words were so sharp, Lin irong couldn't help but flinch after hearing it. Did Shen Lingqing bring her here only to insult her like this?
The only staff stationed inside the room was montarily stunned but said nothing as she continued to place the dresses properly on their boxes one by one and pretended to ignore the two won's presence.
"Lin irong, I don't know why the Li family is letting you go that easily after what you've done to Li Xiuying, but don't you think you can hurt her again without facing repercussions. I suggest you stay out of Sister Ying's way if you still value your life. You're as good as a flower vase, nice to see, but no value at all." Shen Lingqing continued ignoring the tears that ran down Lin irong's cheeks.
She stepped forward trapping Lin irong to the wall behind her. Lin irong shivered and felt panic inside herself. What did the demon princess want from her now?
"Do you think that just because you have a pretty face and you can cry pitifully you can get away with everything? Well, newsflash, bitch. Not everyone is as stupid as you. Why don't you spare my eyes and stop polluting the air I'm breathing. Leave with your filth, imdiately." She paused and turned to leave, not wanting to be in the sa room with Lin irong anymore.
"You are right. This is the first ti we've t and now I'm jealous of the people who haven't t you. While I do admit that I don't hate you, I regard you with an indifference bordering on aversion. So please leave. You've already ruined my day by showing your face here."
Lin irong didn't need to be told twice and hurriedly left the room in tears, leaving Shen Lingqing who'd been watching her departing figure from where she was standing. She wasn't sure why Li Chuntao was pretending to be her twin and thought that it must be her way to cope with her loss.
She wondered if Li Chuntao was aware of the foolishness of her decision. Yes, she would be able to avenge her sister's heartache and possible cause of death but it would also co with a price. Li Chuntao would have to sacrifice a significant part of her life and would subject herself to the web of doubts and heartache in the future.
Shen Lingqing may be younger than her, but she wasn't blind nor was she naive. She had seen how Li Chuntao's eyes reacted to several people around her and as far as she knew there were only two people in the world that Li Chuntao cherished the most.
The first person was obviously her older twin sister, Li Xiuying. There was nothing in this world that could make her forget her love for her older sister while it couldn't be said for the other person who was….
"Qingqing? What are you doing here?" Her brother's voice pulled her mind back to reality. She shook her head and smiled at Shen Zichen.
"Nothing, I was just showing Lin irong the way out," she replied as she looked at her brother's scowling face.
"Did 'Ying' see her?" He asked curiously. He shouldn't have left Li Chuntao alone with his sisters. He wasn't certain how Li Chuntao would react upon seeing Lin irong. Shen Zichen knew that this wasn't the right ti for her to see her brother-in-law's mistress.
"Yep," Shen Lingqing inford him. "I'm surprised that Lin irong has the audacity to show herself here but don't worry, I already chased the woman out."
"I don't care about her, I'm worried about Chuntao," Shen Zichen said in a low voice, making sure no one would be able to hear it except for his little sister.
Shen Lingqing gave him a good look and shook her head. Her brother was worrying too much. Li Chuntao was a level headed woman. She wouldn't let Lin irong get the best of her. What's more, he was getting too invested over Li Chuntao's safety when he didn't need to, unless, of course, if he had finally realized the obvious thing Shen Lingqing noticed about Li Chuntao.
When they ca back to the main room, Li Chuntao wasn't surprised to see that Lin irong wasn't with them. She eyed Shen Lingqing who only gave her a shrug before taking a seat next to her sister.
"Wow, that's too fast. What did you do to Miss Lin anyway? She left crying, taking her friend out with her." Shen Yuyan asked her as soon as she settled next to her. She'd already expected this to happen but what surprised her was how fast Lin irong ran away from Shen Lingqing. "You've broken your own record. Congratulations."
'What else but bully her. Qingqing is an expert when it cos to bullying even those who are older than her." Shen Zichen muttered.
He swore it was hard raising his sisters knowing both had little horns peeking on their heads while growing up, especially Shen Lingqing, who can easily get away with almost every mischief she made when they were younger.
Their mother adored her, their father couldn't say no to her, so it fell unto Shen Zichen to correct and to chastise his younger sister. Being with two mischievous sisters, Shen Zichen was proud to say that he'd cultivated superb self-control and patience over ti because of them.
"Is that so? I was hoping to have a little chit chat with Miss Lin. I guess I'll just have to see her at the banquet later." Li Chuntao comnted, a little disappointed that she wasn't able to play with Lin irong tonight, but well, Lin irong couldn't even stand against Shen Lingqing for five minutes.
"You'll get a chance to et her next ti." Shen Zichen checked the ti on his wrist watch before glancing at his sisters. "Yuyan, Qingqing, I hope you two are done picking. Mom and dad are probably waiting for us at ho."
Shen Yuyan patted Qingqing's arm, ignoring the way the latter was frowning at her nagging.
"Co on, Qingqing. You aren't planning to ditch our dinner in favor of your work, right?" She then turned to Li Chuntao who was conversing in low voices with Xia Yuhan. "Sister Ying should also co and join us for dinner. I'm sure you haven't had a good al lately. We're having a barbeque party later." She winked at her.
Shen Lingqing groaned before allowing herself to be dragged by her sister. Ever since she took over SY Holdings, she was barely ho and would only go back for a quick shower and to take new sets of clean clothes. Today the Shen siblings had managed to pull her out from her work on their mother's insistence.
anwhile, Li Chuntao hesitated to accept Shen Yuyan's invitation. While it was true that she and Ying were close with the Shen twins, they rarely t the ShenLu couple.. Li Chuntao was sure that her ten fingers were more than enough to count the number of tis she had t them.
