Silas Sutton’s expression was too indifferent as he spoke.

Stella Grant looked at him, unable to tell whether he was being genuine or not.

Probably because she had suffered too much at the hands of Silas Sutton, Stella stared at him for a few seconds before saying, "Sorry, President Sutton, I’m afraid I can’t help you with this. You know I have a boyfriend."

Locking eyes, Stella clearly saw the light dim in Silas Sutton’s eyes, "Alright."

After speaking, Silas Sutton took a step back and said in a deep voice, "Get so rest early."

As the elevator doors closed, Stella suddenly felt an inexplicable pang of guilt.

It was an indescribable feeling, but overall she just felt... uncomfortable.

As the elevator descended, the mont Silas Sutton stepped out of the elevator, he took out his phone and dialed Ben Lawson.

After a few seconds of ringtone, Ben Lawson picked up, "Seriously, Mr. Sutton, are you out of your mind? Can’t sleep because of hormonal imbalance and dragging others down with you?"

Silas Sutton asked, "Have you told Sue Woods?"

Ben Lawson, "Does it have to be tonight?"

Silas Sutton replied indifferently, "She’s going to Shawn Bishop tomorrow; if you don’t tell her tonight, when will you?"

Ben Lawson had already gone to bed and moved the phone from his ear to glance at the ti, 2 AM, "Are you sure?"

Silas Sutton, "Quit wasting ti."

Upon hearing Silas Sutton’s words, Ben Lawson swore at the phone, tapped the screen, and was about to hang up to call Sue Woods, but suddenly stopped and asked, "Tonight... did she sleep?"

Silas Sutton knew what he ant and coldly replied, "No."

Ben Lawson heard this and mocked, "It’s this late, and you guys didn’t sleep? Don’t tell you were just talking under the covers."

Silas Sutton took out his car keys and sat in the car, "We weren’t even under the covers, just talking."

Ben Lawson laughed teasingly, "That pure?"

Silas Sutton rely let out a dismissive snort.

Detecting Silas Sutton’s displeasure, Ben Lawson teased further, "Mr. Sutton, are you having trouble dealing with so anger right now?"

Silas Sutton’s voice was cold, "You looking for death?"

Ben Lawson laughed even more irritatingly, "Can you tell just what you did at Stella Grant’s place tonight?"

Silas Sutton had a breath stuck in his chest, "Making friends, chatting."

Upon hearing these words from Silas Sutton, Ben Lawson burst into wild laughter, "Making friends? Chatting?"

Silas Sutton’s face darkened.

After a while, Ben Lawson had laughed enough, got out of bed, leaned against the headboard, and took a sip of water, saying, "Mr. Sutton, it’s not that I have to build my happiness on your pain, it’s just that your pain happens to amuse ."

After years of friendship, they knew each other’s nature well.

Silas Sutton’s voice was as cold as ice, "Whatever, bye."

Ben Lawson teased, "Mr. Sutton, I won’t ask if you really like Stella Grant, but satisfy my curiosity for a mont. Let ask you: if you had a woman you really liked right now, would you be with her?"

Silas Sutton answered without thinking, "No."

Ben Lawson was curious, "Why not?"

Silas Sutton said in a deep voice, "Loving soone ans protecting her from the storm, not bringing her into the storm."

Neither ntioned Stella Grant, but every word was about her.

Ben Lawson blurted, "What storm could you bring to Stella Grant? If she were with you, she..."

Ben Lawson was speaking, and suddenly realized sothing, inhaling sharply, "Are you worried about the Sutton Family’s main house?"

Faced with Ben Lawson’s question, Silas Sutton didn’t explain, "Goodbye."

Ben Lawson wanted to ask more, but the call turned to blind tone.

Ben Lawson cursed under his breath and stared into space for a mont, then found Sue Woods’ number and dialed it.

Sue Woods was a super sound sleeper.

Ben Lawson had to call seven tis before finally getting through.

When the call connected, Sue Woods’ groggy voice ca through, "Hello, who is this?"

Ben Lawson, who suffered from weak nerves, always held animosity toward deep sleepers, "It’s ."

Sue Woods, "Who?"

Ben Lawson gritted through his teeth, "It’s ."

Sue Woods, "If you don’t say who you are, I’m hanging up."

Ben Lawson was bewildered, "You didn’t save my number?"

Though Sue Woods was in a dazed state, she knew that soone asking such a question must be a familiar person and replied without thinking, "Saved it, but too lazy to check."

Ben Lawson laughed in exasperation, "It’s , Ben Lawson, the Ben Lawson whose 5-million-dollar car you splashed with paint and whom you beat to a mummy and sent to the hospital!!"

Upon hearing this, Sue Woods’ eyes shot open, all traces of sleep vanished.

After about seven or eight seconds, Sue Woods’ voice on the phone was absurdly deferential, her attitude changing faster than pages turning, "Mr. Lawson, I wonder what business brings you to call so late."

Ben Lawson snorted lightly, "Not asking who I am now?"

Sue Woods laughed awkwardly, "Actually, I recognized you right away. I was just joking with you."

Ben Lawson mocked, "How did you recognize ?"

Sue Woods fabricated, "Mainly because your voice is unique; among all the n I know, only yours is the most magnetic and pleasant."

Such a line might work on other n, but who is Ben Lawson, the master of navigating a sea of flowers, "Ha."

Sue Woods played along ekly, "Mr. Lawson, was there sothing you needed when you called tonight?"

Ben Lawson cleared his throat, "You know Shawn Bishop, right?"

Sue Woods responded, "I know."

While chatting tonight, she just happened to hear Stella Grant ntioning him in passing.

Ben Lawson continued, "I had dinner with the CEO of Shawn Bishop’s company tonight."

Sue Woods was puzzled, "Does this have anything to do with ?"

Ben Lawson was like a cattle force-fed water, relentless, "I casually asked him about their recent failed project; he seed interested in selling it off, but wants to ask an exorbitant price..."

Sue Woods suspected she woke up too abruptly and hit her head, "Mr.... Mr. Lawson, does... does this have anything to do with ?"

Ben Lawson, "It has nothing to do with you; help analyze whether this project can be acquired."

Sue Woods maintained her professional deanor, gently reminding, "Mr. Lawson, I’m a fashion magazine editor."

Do you even hear what you’re asking ??
