Silas Sutton’s words were not a joke.

It was said that the eldest from the main Sutton family went mad upon returning, but no one knew Silas went even madder for a ti.

His madness was unnerving.

Normal during the day, disordered at night.

During that period, not just the people in the main Sutton family, but even Master Sutton slept uneasily at night.

Fearful that Silas Sutton might commit murder.

However, Silas ultimately did nothing.

Gradually, Silas beca normal, both day and night.

To prevent outside speculation that all four Sutton grandsons had issues, Master Sutton announced that Silas was unhard.

As Silas finished speaking, Ben Lawson fell into a mory.

After a while, Ben snapped out of it and said, "I’m quite curious, why were you fine during the day but distressed at night?"

Silas seed half amused, "Do you think I’ll tell you?"

Ben said, "Alright then, can you tell how you finally got better?"

With the food in the pot already cooked, Silas turned off the heat, pulled out a cigarette pack from his pocket, bit on one, then thought of having just smoked recently, and pushed it back with the tip of his tongue. "Why are you so curious?"

Ben grinned playfully, "Co on, talk about it. I never asked before because I was afraid of triggering you. Now it’s been years, no harm in bringing it up."

Silas looked down at the food in the pot, and said in a deep voice, "I asked Stella Grant for a photo of herself."

Ben said, "That’s it?"

Silas said, "Yeah."

Ben still couldn’t comprehend, "How can a photo help? Did you..."

Confusion tinged with sleaziness, Silas interrupted, "Don’t be vulgar, I never did anything back then."

Ben grew more puzzled, "Then what was it?"

Silas closed his eyes, "Every night I worshiped, like praying to a deity."

The inexplicable depth in Silas’s voice left Ben speechless.

After quite a while, Ben cursed under his breath, "What the hell are you doing now then?"

Silas opened his eyes with a playful grin, "Desecrating my god."

Ben choked, feeling a shiver run down his spine.

He muttered about bad luck even after hanging up the phone.

Regretting ever calling Silas Sutton.

He felt tainted.

After hanging up with Ben Lawson, Silas smiled, shut his phone, stuffed it into his pocket, took a plate from the cupboard, and served the dish before finishing the remaining two dishes and one soup.

A mont later, Silas brought the three dishes and one soup to the table, stepped towards the bedroom to call Stella Grant.

Stella was lying on the bed, reading an email from the company about a project paynt overdue.

A seventy-million project, with only fifty million settled, the remaining twenty million had been delayed for half a year.

Upon hearing the commotion at the door, Stella asked without turning her head, "Is the al ready?"

Silas leaned against the doorfra, "Is Manager Grant hungry?"

Stella responded with a non-relevant question, "What was the reason that previous project manager was fired?"

Talking work brought a serious air to Silas’s expression, "Bribery."

Upon hearing this, Stella turned to look at him, "Did they delay the paynt process to the collaborating company?"

Silas confird, "Yes."

Stella asked, "How much did he embezzle?"

Silas joked, "Why? Are you considering sothing similar?"

Stella t his gaze, unabashedly saying, "Then I’d better invest more effort in you. I heard from your forr rumored girlfriends that you make generous gestures, casually shelling out millions for houses."

Faced with Stella’s teasing, Silas’s smile faded slightly, "Stella."

Stella sat up and looked at him, "Yes?"

Silas looked at her, scratching his brow with his fingertips as if pondering sothing, then after about half a minute, he seriously said, "Besides you, I’ve never slept with anyone else."
