Silas Sutton’s question made the woman’s cries for help abruptly stop.

After Silas finished speaking and seeing the woman remain silent, he continued, "I’m from Veridia, and my businesses and connections are mostly there."

The implication was that he wasn’t famous enough for everyone in Brynnfield to know about his abilities to find organ donors. So, how did they know he could locate a kidney?

Upon hearing this, the woman showed a flash of panic on her face and stamred nervously, "N-no one advised us to co to you. We just heard that you helped Adler find a kidney..."

Silas Sutton’s tone was indifferent, "Who did you hear this from?"

The woman replied, "I-I heard from..."

As she spoke, she glanced over at Ms. Dunn.

Before the woman could speak, Ms. Dunn imdiately retorted, "Don’t try to pin this on . I would never say such things."

Seeing that Ms. Dunn was not going to help, the woman began to speak incoherently, "We heard it from the nurses during their rounds."

Ms. Dunn had actually felt quite sympathetic towards them, even privately telling Lynn Adler several tis that she wanted to donate so money to them.

But at this mont, any sympathy Ms. Dunn had was completely gone. She chuckled lightly and said, "The nurses in the nephrology departnt would never talk about such things."

Finding a kidney donor is already difficult; one family’s success can make many others jealous.

If luck is not on their side and they encounter soone powerful and influential, the chances of their donor being taken away are high.

Therefore, to avoid disputes, when a patient finds a matching kidney, the dical staff and the family keep it confidential.

Now she claims she heard it from the nurses during their rounds.

Isn’t this just outright lying?

The woman was left speechless by Ms. Dunn’s response, and her gaze carried a hint of resentnt.

However, Ms. Dunn was not soone to be trifled with. She stepped forward and pushed the woman’s arms away from Stella Grant, "We all sympathize with your family’s situation, but you can’t use that to morally blackmail us, can you?"

The woman glared, "Who’s morally blackmailing?"

As the woman was about to make a scene, Ms. Dunn outdid her, "Oh, you’re not? You even threatened to kneel here forever if President Sutton doesn’t help your family."

The woman’s face turned red with embarrassnt, and at that mont, soone in the crowd outside shouted, "Their family really is pitiful. Since this big boss has the capability, why not help them out?"

When soone spoke up, others chid in, "Exactly, finding a kidney donor is harder than climbing the sky for us ordinary folks, but for big bosses like you, isn’t it just a matter of lifting a finger or saying a word?"

Hearing multiple people speak on her behalf, the woman imdiately regained her spirit and began to kowtow to Silas Sutton.

"President Sutton, please, help us."

"We really have no other choice. If we had any options, we wouldn’t be bothering you like this."

"We’re not morally blackmailing you; we’re really at our wit’s end."

As the woman kowtowed while crying, so in the crowd outside began to feel sympathetic.

"How can this person be so heartless? The old lady is already kowtowing like this."

"Yeah, it makes feel sorry just watching."

"Aren’t rich people just like this? Cold-hearted and ruthless, how could they have any conscience?"

The commotion and scolding outside grew louder and louder.

Stella Grant listened and glanced at Silas Sutton, pushed away Ms. Dunn’s protective hand, turned to look coldly at the kneeling family of three, and said, "We can’t help you. The reason he found a kidney for my mom is that he’s my boyfriend,

not to ntion whether he has the ability to find a second kidney in such a short ti. Even if he could, if you plead today and he helps, won’t other families from other wards co pleading the sa way tomorrow, and will he have to help them too?"

The woman stopped her kowtowing and looked up at Stella Grant.

Stella Grant showed no expression at this ti, "You can leave on your own, or I’ll call security, or I’ll call the police. Choose one of the three."
