Chapter 1994: Chapter 2004: Can Understand the Dissatisfaction Toward You

Edward Jackson looked deeply at him with mature and wise eyes, as if seeing through his inner thoughts. Slowly he said, “I hope you can understand that my mother’s feelings for Enna are extraordinary. You should know sothing about Enna’s mother’s situation. Over the years, I and her grandma have been searching for her and her mother’s whereabouts. It wasn’t easy to find her; her grandma wishes to present her with the best of everything to make up for all the hardships she’s endured over the years.”

Edward Jackson spoke frankly, “In my and her grandma’s heart, you are not the right choice for Enna. From the beginning, I didn’t think highly of you. But from the beginning, Enna has been sure about you. She has a good personality, and ever since coming back with to the Habsden Family, she’s agreed with almost everything her grandma and I decided. The only exception is regarding you; from the very start, she was incredibly persistent. She even made an agreent with before coming back, asking to let her return to you after a year and a half.”

That woman was actually this persistent?

No wonder Baron Lawrence was so deeply moved.

Enna Clark’s personality tends to be introverted, and she rarely expresses her feelings. On those rare occasions, it was usually only under his pressure that she would reveal a bit of her inner thoughts.

Suddenly hearing from a third person how much Enna Clark cared about him, the feeling was indescribably exhilarating, like riding a roller coaster.

Even the small ‘test’ from earlier that caused so unpleasantness seed insignificant.

“I didn’t agree with you initially, but because it was the first ti she had insisted on sothing, as her uncle, I compromised. Over the next year or so, I kept investigating you. I had already decided that if you found another woman during the ti Enna was gone, I would advise her to break up with you. But you behaved well and didn’t get involved in any scandals during that ti.”

Baron Lawrence was unaware that Edward Jackson was investigating him during that period; now he was imnsely grateful that he kept himself so busy that he left no room for rumors with any other woman.

“But even so, I’m still not particularly satisfied with you, because your family has always held a disapproving attitude towards Enna.”

Edward Jackson placed his hands interlocked on the table and elegantly began, “You should understand that every parent thinks their child is the best, right?”

Baron Lawrence thought of Gigi and Bobby, narrowed his hawk-like eyes, and said, “I understand.”

“You can understand my dissatisfaction towards you when my own beloved child is being scrutinized by others, can’t you?” Edward Jackson spoke in a gradual manner, not too forcefully, yet able to convey his ssage clearly while ensuring the other party felt comfortable.

Hearing him bluntly express his dissatisfaction, Baron Lawrence pressed his thin lips together and said, “I understand.”

If it were anyone else saying these things, he certainly wouldn’t have reacted with such a good attitude or even bothered to listen patiently.

But this person was Edward Jackson, Enna Clark’s uncle.

And this was his first formal eting with Enna Clark’s family; he had to control his temper and show the best side of himself.

Thinking this, Baron Lawrence tried to relax his shoulders and looked directly at Edward Jackson, showing respect.
