Limits Chapter 185

I sat near the pond for a while but didn't notice any other movents. 'Is that sothing inside, aware that I'm here?' I thought. I decided to test that and moved away, from the pond. I moved only a bit, I still needed to see whatever that thing inside was. I waited for so ti again, staring at the pond.

Suddenly, a movent. I didn't rush to the pond and stayed in my place. 'The creature might be testing, if I really left. Let's see what it does next?' I thought and stared at the pond. So ti later, the movent repeated. I again stayed in my place and didn't move.

This thing repeated for a few more tis, before a creature resurfaced and looked around. When it noticed , it seed surprised and quickly hid inside the pond again. 'This was not a fish. I could only see its head but it looked like lizard? Are lizards able to live underwater?' I thought. The creature's head was blue and although it resembles a lizard, it also differed from usual lizards.

I decided to investigate. I took off my clothes and jumped into the pond "Splash!". I could still see stuff around , as I was near the surface, but the further down I looked, the less I could see. The creature which I was looking for was there, nearer the bottom, or at least the bottom of what I could see. When it saw , it dived deeper, until I wasn't able to see it whatsoever.

I resurfaced and thought 'This thing is weird. It's head is like that of a lizard, its body is long like that of a snake, and it also has 4 legs, or 2 legs and 2 arms. If what I saw is correct, it should be about 1 tre long. The size of its body though, is not that great, the creature is just long'. I wondered what could that creature be. I went out of the pond and dressed myself. I took out the Beast Scriptures and recorded that creature inside.

Besides the shape of the creature and the colour, I knew nothing else really. I added whatever I could and nad it Water Lizard. 'I will have to enquire Avians about that creature. It seems to be a bit shy or perhaps scared' I thought. While I was adding stuff to my book and gathering my thoughts, I heard a splash behind .

When I looked back, it was the sa creature that resurfaced. It looked at with panic in its eyes and ran towards . What appeared next from the pond, stunned as well. It was another creature with many tentacles. The size of that creature, was at least 5 tis that of a human being. I moved back as well, while the Water Lizard moved towards with panic. I said "Stop following . I don't want to deal with that thing". The lizard made so noises but still followed.

The creature resurfaced completely and gave chase. It used its long tentacles like legs, its speed extraordinary. 'Why am I always being chased!?' I thought and took out my bow. I turned around and started shooting at the creature running towards us. "Swoosh!" "Swoosh!" "Swoosh!" "Swoosh!" but the arrows simply bounced back. The tentacle creature chasing us, was like a rubber.

'There is no other way then!' I took out a small portion of the Yellow Dust that I still had on and set it up. With the torch lit, I shouted "Co at !". This seed to enrage the tentacle creature and it went straight for . I lit the torch and started running. When the creature got close to the Yellow Dust, I threw the torch.

"BOOOM!" "SCREEECH!!". The ear piercing screech of a creature that was blasted away, sounded through the air. I stopped running and turned around. The tentacle creature was all mangled and burned. It didn't move anymore. The Water Lizard stared at the creature in shock. I ca over to the lizard and said "What type of disaster, did you want to bring on , huh?". The creature snapped out of its shock and looked at . It panicked again and started to run.

"Oh no you don't!" I exclaid and chased after it, at my full speed. The lizard was fast, but not as fast as I was. I caught up to it and caught it. I said "Where do you think you are going?". The lizard almost started crying and making loads of noises. It seed to be apologising, begging not to kill it.

"I will not kill you. Just don't run!" and placed the lizard on the ground. It seed confused and glad at the sa ti. Probably because it pleas worked, but this ti, it didn't dare to move away. I said out loud "What was that thing?". The lizard got worked up again and pointed sowhere. I wasn't really asking that lizard a question but I still looked to where it pointed.

It was the exit from the Valley. I was a bit confused and asked "What is there?". The lizard seed to fear sothing and pointed toward that direction while making noises. I asked "You want to go there?" The lizard nodded and urged to co. I was baffled and said "I still want to examine that tentacle creature". It shook its head and still urged .

It was then, that I heard an ear piercing screech in the distance. To be exact, it was in the sa direction, where that pond was. 'Shit, so that is why it urged to run!' I thought and grabbed the lizard. "I now know what you an, we are going!" I said and ran at my full speed, towards the exit of the Valley. I heard more screeches behind , and it sounded like more than just one creature.

When I looked back, after a while of running, I didn't notice any movents behind . 'Fortunately we managed to run away. Just what the hell, did that damned lizard do, to enrage so many of them?' I thought. I decided to investigate just that. I lifted my hand and noticed that it was a bit light. I looked at it and noticed the lizard was gone. 'That bastard! Don't let catch you!' I thought and looked around. Sothing moved in the corner of my eye. 'So that is where you are?' I thought, and released all the energy in my legs at once.

"Booom!"

I sped through the Valley and toward the place, I saw so movents. It turned out, it was the lizard I was after. When it noticed , It started to run. "Now you are done for, lizard!" I shouted and ran after it. It suddenly gave up and stopped. I approached it and asked, quite angry "What did you do, for them to chase you?". The lizard spat out sothing and made so noises. When I wanted to pick it up, the lizard quickly swallowed it back and stared at .

I said "I don't think you have the right no to show that to . You are alive only thanks to ! I just want to examine it. I will give it back". The lizard thought for a while and spat it out again. I took it into my left hand and examined it. It was so sort of round stone, blue in colour and cold to touch. I was a bit confused and asked "Why would you steal such a thing? Does it have any uses or sothing?" I threw it up and down couple of tis and then, placed it in my right hand.

What happened next was extraordinary. My hand started to freeze up and absorb? The stone. The lizard made a lot of noise and beca angry. I was quite stunned by that process but after a while, I snapped out of it, and placed the stone in my left hand. With the stone in my left hand, the absorption stopped. "Just what the hell is that thing?" I asked myself. The lizard demanded the stone back, while making a lot of noises and jumping up and down.

I gave the stone back and said "I didn't know my right hand would do that. Here take it back, it's yours afterall". The lizard took it and swallowed it back. 'This stone is probably so kind of rare herb, that can help water or ice based creatures increase their strength. Just that short amount of absorbing it, already made my right hand's freezing abilities better' I thought.

"Ok, so that is the use of that stone. Are there any more of those stones, inside that pool?" I asked. The creature nodded and extended its arm. It showed 2 out of the 3 fingers, that it had. 'So there are two more inside that pond. The problem is, the tentacle creatures. There must be loads of them inside there. I can't see stuff inside there either… It's too dark' I thought.

'Wait! Dark, that is it, I almost forgot. I wanted to test out the vision from my dream. I need a dark place in order to do that' I thought and asked the lizard "Do you know how many of those tentacle monsters are down there?". The lizard shook its head in response. 'Hmm, I will have to let the things calm down there first. I can go visit that place later' I thought.
