"Transfer the Goldveil family? What do you an?"
Cedric looked confused, and so did Seraphine, as they looked at their son, who was smiling slyly.
Wasn’t their family his anyway? Why would they need to transfer the ownership? They couldn’t understand.
"Yeah, transfer everything in my na."
Lucien nodded, confirming their doubts.
In fact, Lucien had this plan as soon as he awakened the new feature of his system, Claim Control.
The mont he had the ability to control the extraction of his Debt Collection System, he knew his potential had beco exponential.
He just needed proper ground to conduct his experint safely, that’s all.
And now, with the Lionheart family themselves coming up to be guinea pigs, Lucien couldn’t help but be happy.
"But... why?"
Seraphine asked, completely not understanding her son’s logic. Feeling that he might be sick, she even pressed her hand on his forehead and asked worriedly,
"Are you...alright?"
"Cough... Mom, what can happen to ? I am serious."
Lucien rolled his eyes at her behavior and snarled at Malcolm, who began laughing silently.
Honestly, if Malcolm hadn’t encountered his weird behavior at the Dinsional Treasure Vault, he would also think Lucien was sick.
"Sigh... okay, I will explain."
Lucien sighed after seeing no help from Grandpa and then continued,
"Look, I already awakened my class, and my class is even a Unique one."
Lucien subtly revealed his secret beneath his words and began to talk seriously,
"So, I think it is now ti for to handle this family. After all, Grandpa might need to go to the Shadow Kingdom, and this world might disappear at any ti, too."
Lucien beca serious,
"So, although I am still young and seem to have lots of ti, I also don’t have one. Therefore, why don’t you transfer the Goldveil family to so that I can learn?"
Lucien tried to be as persuasive as possible.
"After all, if Grandpa withdraws himself like this, it might look like he has no spine."
"The mont soone declared war, he ran like a mouse with its tail between its legs. Everyone will think he destroyed the Goldveil family with his own hands."
The more Lucien talked, the more Malcolm’s face turned dark, while both Cedric and Seraphine coughed to hide their faint laughter.
But Lucien acted as if what he said was the truth, and he wasn’t targeting his grandfather at all.
"But if he transferred the entire Goldveil’s heritage to , even if sothing did happen and our family beca broke, everyone will only say it was because of a dandy like ."
Lucien paused, then proudly said,
"Don’t worry about . Even though by doing this my prestige might go down the drain, even if everyone might see as the broom star of the Goldveil family, for the sake of the family, I am ready to sacrifice this much."
He acted as if swallowing the entire heritage of his family was sothing he was doing as a favor to the family.
The look on his parents’ and grandpa’s faces was one to see.
"So, let’s just transfer the entire assets to and let operate the business with no interference. I guarantee that this issue will be solved in no ti. Don’t you believe in ?"
Lucien really did everything he could and asked with an innocent look.
He thought that with such an impressive speech, they should be impressed, right?
Only—
"Have you gone nuts?"
The reality was different, though, as Cedric suddenly let out a snort and smacked Lucien’s shoulder hard before he could react.
"Ouch!"
"What kind of bullshit logic is that? Have we, the Goldveil family, fallen so low that we need to use our own child as a shield?"
Cedric scolded Lucien with no rcy.
"Yeah, your thinking is really not good."
Not only him, but even his mother Seraphine nodded, clearly against him.
"The blood and sweat of your grandfather and father have established the business we have now. Do you know what value it has for them? How can you think so lightly like this?"
Seraphine softly said, as if teaching a child.
"Your intention is good, but your thod isn’t. Even if our family faces ruin, how could we bear to use our son as a shield? Do you think we’re that selfish?"
Seraphine seed clearly offended by Lucien’s reasoning, causing him to feel speechless.
’Damn! Was my acting too good?’
He couldn’t help but think, feeling a little guilty. He then looked at Malcolm, hoping that he would help.
Otherwise, he had no idea how to persuade them now.
’Now you need ?’
Malcolm rolled his eyes at Lucien but still coughed lightly to gain everyone’s focus.
"Okay, no need to bla him. He is just thinking about his family, that’s all."
He first deflated the tense environnt, then lightly said,
"But what Lucien said is also true. Now that he has awakened his class and shown potential, letting him manage the family isn’t a bad idea."
"Father, what are you saying? Won’t this put him directly in a difficult position?"
Before Malcolm finished speaking, Cedric directly opposed him.
He couldn’t believe his father was so gullible. How could he believe such a boisterous remark from Lucien?
Just for his useless words, how could he let him directly handle such a task?
Even Seraphine gave him a disapproving look, making Malcolm feel a bit ashad.
But he also knew that there was so connection of the wealth to Lucien’s class, and it seed very important to him.
So, Malcolm decided to ignore their looks shalessly and scolded instead.
"Okay, okay. Don’t try to teach your father. Do you think I don’t know much?"
"That’s not what I an. It’s just... the Lionheart family already wants his life. If he beca the head, he will attract too much attention. At that ti, soone might even try to assassinate him."
Cedric said with a little worry.
"Oh?"
Malcolm blinked, caught off guard by his unintentional words.
After all, he knew soone had already tried to assassinate his grandson, and he didn’t even know who yet.
If he really made him the head of Goldveil, then...
"Grandpa, trust ."
Lucien saw that Malcolm faltered after Cedric’s words and hurriedly said.
Then, as if still afraid he might change his mind, Lucien abruptly shifted his class to Devourer and activated the skill Devour, letting a faint trace of the Phoenix fire’s aura flicker out before quickly retracting it.
