"Pfft…do you know who you just called gay? Seraphine, I never knew your son was so daring.

Elara tried hard to control her laugh, finding Lucien suddenly amusing. It had been a while since she saw him when he used to hang around Liora.

But she never knew Lucien even had the guts to talk bad about a count, and that too in front of his wife.

"Okay, he is just consoling you and nothing else. Don't take his words to heart."

Seraphine breathed a sigh of relief after seeing Elara giggling like a little girl. This ant she didn't take his words to heart at all and even seed amused.

"Lucien, say sorry to Elara and let this matter rest. No matter what your intention is, it isn't good to insult others like this."

Seeing that the situation was right, Seraphine looked at her son and asked him to apologize.

Unfortunately, she did not realize that Lucien was not soone who would bow his head and offer apologies so easily.

"Mom, but what I said is right."

Lucien said, spreading his hands,

"If such a beautiful lady can't even make you react, is he even a man? If he isn't gay, then who is?"

He asked casually, leaving both Elara and Seraphine speechless.

But Lucien didn't care. He was soone who had endured an unfair breakup, after all. He knew how easily soone could get hurt in a relationship.

Especially soone who would go as far as to show her body to her friend's son boldly, seeking a man's approval desperately.

To be honest, Lucien felt very sorry for Elara, as she was drop-dead gorgeous without a doubt.

While she shared a shadow of her daughter Liora's beauty, her mature charm and alluring presence were unmatched.

Lucien wasn't lying when he said he would bite those lips if it were possible. They were simply too tempting and seductive.

Despite this, her situation had turned out this way. He was a little angry at that stupid Count who could ignore such a MILF.

"Lucien-"

"Look, Madam Elara, I am sorry if you feel offended by my bold words. But I just can't stand your desperate situation."

Just as Seraphine was about to scold her son in anger, Lucien looked at Elara and honestly said,

"In my opinion, no woman should beco as desperate as you are right now, especially when she is this beautiful,"

Lucien spoke while letting his gaze wander over her mature figure, admiring her openly.

"I know there's so conflict between you and your husband, and it's natural to doubt yourself in such a situation. But honestly, you're being unfair to yourself."

"Even then, if you really need a man's assurance… then I, Lucien, say with absolute certainty that you are extrely hot, and there's no doubt about that."

He said while placing his hand on his chest, as if giving a solid affirmation to Elara. His eyes were filled with truth, without a trace of lie.

Lucien ant what he said.

"Pfft…"

"Oh my god… what are you even saying…?"

Seeing him like that, while Elara tried hard to suppress her giggle, Seraphine placed a hand on her forehead.

She felt as if a sharp headache was blooming behind her temples. Why had she never realized her son could be so frivolous and bold?

Wait, perhaps she had known all along, back when he brought two princesses ho. She just hadn't thought too deeply about it then.

Now that the person involved was her own friend, soone around her age, she couldn't help but grow defensive, though even she wasn't sure for whom.

"Sigh… she is your mother's age. Can you have a little sha?"

Seraphine said, her face showing anger at Lucien, who simply could not be stopped.

Yet she never realized that while she was feeling awkward and ashad, Elara had been giggling nonstop from the very beginning.

Her face was bright, full of smiles, completely devoid of the sadness and despair she had just shown.

It was clear that although Lucien's thod was questionable, the result was undeniable.

"Mom, why are you taking this in a bad direction? Who cares about her age?"

Surprisingly, when Seraphine tried to scold him, Lucien turned the lecture toward her instead.

"I am simply stating facts and nothing more. Why make this awkward? I have no other intentions."

"Besides, doesn't Madam Elara consider us close enough to share her grievances?" he asked.

"In my opinion, since she has asked for help, we should provide it. I have never lied to her rely to comfort her."

"Since she trusts enough to share her troubles, it is my duty to assist her," Lucien continued, speaking as if it were an undeniable truth.

"You are also quite beautiful, Mom, and show no sign of age, just like a young girl. That is why that old man is still head over heels for you.""Is it really strange for to say this?"

Lucien asked, speechless. While he could be frivolous, he was not a pervert to leer at his friend's mother.

Although Elara was undeniably sexy, he was not so desperate as to take advantage of her.

As for praising her beauty, he saw no problem in this, just like how he could praise his mother without a care.

"Okay, Lucien, you have gone too far. How can you talk about your father like this?"

Seraphine was so embarrassed by his words that she finally couldn't help but get angry. She felt she had been too lenient with her son, giving him the wrong impression that he could say anything.

But just as she was about to step forward and give him a good pinch on the ear, Elara suddenly stopped her with a gentle hand.

"Wait, Seraphine… no need to get angry at him. He is sowhat right."

She said with a beautiful smile on her lips.

"See? Aren't I feeling good now?"

She asked while pointing at herself, who looked much better than before. She never felt so light like today in their presence.

"I have to say, your son really has his ways with words. I don't know how he didn't manage to get Liora for such a long ti."

Elara said while looking at Lucien curiously with her beautiful eyes. She wasn't a young girl after all, who would get flushed and shy by Lucien's words.

And like she said, Lucien was really right. At that ti, she really needed soone to give her confidence.

Confidence that she still had it in her, and it wasn't her fault that Alaric ignored her existence.

"Who would like such a person? He doesn't even know how to talk. It is good that Liora didn't look at this kind of person."

Seraphine was still angry and imdiately rebuked Elara, making Lucien awkward. He also felt that he said a little too much.

But what could he do? He had already said everything and had no intention of apologizing.

So he simply acted as if he hadn't heard her words, which only made his mother even angrier.

"Pff… okay, okay… no need to be so angry. Aren't you supposed to calm down? Why is the situation reversed?"

Elara asked, finally calming down Seraphine.

"As for you…"

She then looked at Lucien, who was silently staring at them, and said with her soft voice,

"I know you an well for , and I am really, really grateful for your words, trust ,"

Elara affird, though her cheeks were red, as she couldn't deny that she was feeling shy right now.

"But your thod is too frivolous. It was f-fine… it is who is in front of you…"

While saying that, she couldn't help but dodge his eyes a little, not knowing her every move was seen by Lucien.

"As I am a good friend of your mom, I won't say much. But you should be careful around others."

"Don't say such bold words and definitely don't insult others, even unintentionally. It isn't good."

She advised with a good heart. After all, if soone heard his words just now, Lucien could get into great trouble.

Alaric was a count after all. Even if he had his problems, how could he say such words?

"Don't worry, Madam Elara. I said those words only because it is you. If it were others, I wouldn't even stay here to listen, let alone console."

To her words, though, Lucien rolled his eyes and finally stood up from his seat. He felt that it was ti for him to leave this place while he still could.

While Seraphine didn't say much after Elara stopped her, Lucien could feel her anger even from a distance.

He would be a fool to stop now. So he waved his hand and spoke his final words.

"Okay, I think you're feeling better now. That's good. As for Liora, don't worry about her. I'll make sure to find her, don't worry."

He said it, then looked at Elara warmly.

"Just… don't look down on yourself so lowly just because so douche didn't give you attention."

"You are beautiful, and that won't change because of others. Have so confidence. If even you lose hope in yourself, how can others have any of you?"

He continued, "Madam Elara, there's also a world outside Count Alaric and this husband-and-wife relationship, you know."

"All you need to do is step out of it, and you'll see how colorful this world is. I promise, you'll find better things to do and won't be depressed."

He spoke genuinely, from his heart, as a son of her friend and as a friend of her daughter.

He didn't want Elara to ever lower herself to seeking n's approval like today. That was the lowest of the low.

"Okay, you talk with my mother. I have so things to do."

After saying his piece, Lucien stood and quickly left the room. He couldn't endure his mother's dagger-like stare from the side.

'World outside Count Alaric and this husband-and-wife relationship, huh.'

Just as he left, he didn't notice the look in Elara's eyes shining, musing over his words, and smiling like a little girl.

She only ca to her senses when Seraphine called.

Sigh…she was smitten.
