The rest of the day was quite uneventful, and the sa could be said about the rest of the week. Nothing really happened that was out of the ordinary, or outside Silas' schedule.
Silas did a few missions here and there to earn money to pay his rent, while spending the rest of his ti either trying to bring out his light magic with Life or training with the Judgent faction.
According to Life, light magic was one of the hardest elents to train. Apparently, his being able to even use healing magic without any real training was a miracle, however, that wasn't really how Silas saw it.
However, Life predicted that it might take him a month or two to even bring out a spark of light mana since that's how long it took the top geniuses on the continent.
So, in response to her information, Silas gave himself two weeks to learn how to use light magic. Silas knew that Archie would beco the new commander any day now, and when that happens, the battle for Judgent's crown would begin.
Whether that was a political battle or a battle of strength, it wouldn't matter. Silas felt like he would need the light elent soon... Of course, if he didn't get the light elent, he always had plan B, and this ti, plan B was much easier to implent than plan A.
On another hand, Silas' intel gathering hadn't been as successful as he had imagined it would be.
There were two reasons he had befriended the faction. The first reason was to understand the strengths and weaknesses of their leader. However, it seed like he had underestimated how incompetent the faction had beco since they knew almost nothing about their leader.
Even Seraphina wasn't very helpful when it ca to finding out more about Grant, and Silas considered her one of the more competent people in the faction. After all, it seed like she might be the only one who actually does her job.
Silas couldn't find anything about the armor either, other than the fact that it was strong and belonged to the commander before his death by his hands.
Silas didn't know why the commander wasn't wearing his armor against Silas, since that would have changed the tide of the fight by a lot, however, he assud it was simply because the commander didn't think he would need it.
Walking outside of his appartnt, Silas began to stretch, however, his attention was quickly caught by a boy who was running past him after coming out of the room beside his.
No... It wasn't just him. Silas could hear a huge commotion coming from the distance, causing him to quickly follow the boy and reach him in an instant.
"AHHH!" The boy scread out in panic and threw an onyx core right toward Silas.
Silas simply raised a brow and tilted his head slightly, causing the core to pass by him without even touching him.
"Oh crap! Not again! I'm so sorry. I just, I got a little scared. Please don't hurt !" She boy cowered slightly while Silas looked at him with even more flabbergast in his expression.
"Uhm... You mind telling where you're going?" Silas asked while retrieving the onyx core with his wind magic.
"Well. They're announcing the new commander soon. I just wanted to watch the ceremony." The boy scratched his cheek and looked down, unwilling to look Silas in the eye.
"Hmm. I see." Silas muttered before grinning.
The grin sent a cold shiver down the boy's spine. He wasn't even looking Silas in that mont, but he couldn't help but feel a little scared.
"Then, how about we go together?" Silas asked.
The boy looked up with widened eyes, however, there wasn one thing that was itching at him from the back of his mind.
'Why do I have a bad feeling about this?'
"What's your na, kid?" Silas asked, making the boy look at Silas one more ti and allowing him to get a good view of him.
"Kid?" Suddenly, the boy's confidence skyrocketed as a widening grin appeared on his face.
"Oh... You're the sa age as ... I think? You just felt so old when you approached , but now I see you're a kid too!" The boy looked into Silas' eyes for a mont could began to look even more confused than before.
"I'm older than I look." Silas sighed.
"Oh, oh! I know what you are!
You're a loli!"
"..."
"I heard about people like you! Must be hard being a loli, especially at your age."
"..."
"Co on loli-san. You want to watch the announcent too, right! Let's go!" The boy grabbed the flabbergasted Silas by the arm and began to pull him along for the ride.
Silas' mind, however, was on autopilot as he was trying to understand what just happened.
'D-Did... Did he just call a loli! What the fuck! WHAT THE FUCK!'
'...'
'...'
'Am I a loli?' Silas finally asked himself after realizing that the boy wasn't technically wrong.
"My na's Alex by the way! What's your's?" Alex asked as he continued to run with Silas by his side.
"S- Ga Evergreen." Silas sighed.
"Oh! We're using our full nas! Then, my na is Alex Relicer!" Alex smiled with the innocence of a child.
However, just before Silas could awkwardly chuckle at how he suddenly had a new friend, he instantly frowned and looked into the boy's eyes.
'Relicer... I've heard that na before. I can't pinpoint the mory, but I'm certain that I've heard it before.' Silas thought, but by the ti he could get his mind out of the rabbit hole he had just thrown himself in, he heard Alex speak again.
"We're here!" Alex shouted.
Focusing on what's in front of him. Silas saw tens of thousands of people gathered around the enormous tree in the middle of the city.
On it was a platform where 5 individuals could be seen standing, each and every one of them wearing their best armor and releasing a pressure that made everyong look at their in awe.
"Ladies and gentlent, boys and girls. Welco, to coronation of our new commander!" A man Silas had never seen before spoke into a crystal that amplified his voice and made it loud enough for everyone to hear.
"I guess this is where it begins..."
