Chapter 56: It’s Ti to Make So Money

.

Zhu Rong, although he had saved the group of Elves because of a promise he made long ago,

that wasn’t the only reason.

Elves by nature had a much higher affinity with the elents than normal people,

and even their cultivation talent was considered above average when compared to humans.

But then why were they still unable to gain the upper hand against the other empires?

The answer was simple, reproduction.

Unlike humans, who could conceive offspring every nine months, other races had very different cycles.

There were so species that needed only a few months for childbirth, and others, like the Elves, who would take more than double the ti.

Twenty months, to be exact.

It was said to be tied to a race’s talent, the stronger a race was, the harder it was for them to reproduce.

And what confird this theory even more was the fact that high level cultivators struggled much more to have children compared to ordinary people.

In fact, so experts who had surpassed the Mortal Realm would need several attempts and precious resources, just to hope for a successful pregnancy.

According to so, this was because a normal embryo couldn’t withstand the power of its parent and would die before it was ever born.

Which ant they needed rare resources to help the embryo grow safely without being destroyed halfway through.

Because of the long ti Elves needed to give birth, their population was far lower than that of humans.

And while humans were born with lower cultivation talent, the sheer number of them ant there was a higher chance for geniuses to be born among them.

Zhu Rong saw this as yet another example of how nature tended to balance everything,

giving neither too much to one side nor taking too much from another.

Zhu Rong had many ways in mind to train this group of Elves, so they wouldn’t just reach high cultivation levels, but also progress quickly.

One thing he learned well in his past life was that no matter how strong a person was,

they couldn’t do everything alone.

The cultivation path was harsh and often lonely, but never entirely so.

One way or another, one’s karma would intertwine with others, whether friend or foe.

The sa went for everything else.

He wanted to build his own business empire, one that would one day provide him with all the resources he’d need,

for both his cultivation and future plans.

Right now, he could rely only on low grade things like training chambers or low stage beast cores,

but soon he would have to take a step further, and those wouldn’t be enough.

He had already spent part of those seven low grade spirit stones to buy the Elves,

and another part to buy that old inn on the outskirts of town.

Given its state and the previous owner’s failure, he’d managed to get it for just a few hundred gold coins.

But now, he barely had anything left in his pocket, so it was ti to start earning.

He walked through the streets until he finally arrived at a large, flashy building in the city center.

It was none other than the Master Pavilion.

That’s right, he knew that if he wanted to properly make use of his various professions,

he would have to co through here.

Especially for what he planned to do next.

But this ti, he wasn’t alone.

Walking beside him was an Elf girl, slightly shorter than him, with long black hair and erald green eyes.

It was none other than Ye Ning.

She no longer looked as ssy as before, now dressed in simple but clean clothes,

and even the color of her face looked much healthier than yesterday.

Zhu Rong had used what little gold he had left to provide basic necessities for the group of Elves.

It would last them for now, but he knew it wouldn’t be enough for long.

The Elf girl looked at the building in front of her with curiosity before glancing up at the human boy who had bought her.

Unlike the others in her group, she had accepted his offer right away and beco his disciple.

Zhu Rong told her that if she followed his teachings properly, she would beco the most powerful cultivator in the world in no ti.

Naturally, she didn’t believe him at all, but since she had already chosen to rely on him, she was willing to give it a try.

That said, she couldn’t understand why the first thing he did after she beca his disciple

was bring her to this place.

"Master, what is this place?" she asked curiously.

From the look of the building and the constant flow of people going in and out, it was clear this wasn’t an ordinary place.

"This, my dear disciple, is the Master Pavilion, the place where all professionals of the secondary professions register and conduct most of their business," he said as he started walking toward the entrance.

The Elf girl nodded and kept listening as she followed him.

"You see, your master is a great professional in almost every profession you can think of,

but I don’t have the credentials for all of them, especially the ones we need to start our first business,"

He soon found the counter where he had registered last ti and began making his way toward it.

"I already have the apprentice badge for Rune Inscription, but I need to be at least at Adept rank to sell my products.

So first I’ll take the exam for that, and then I’ll register our business," he said as he joined the line.

There were already three people ahead of him, so he could only settle in and wait his turn.

The Elf girl, not entirely convinced about the "master of every profession" part,

decided to ignore that for now and asked,

"I see, but why bring here too? Am I supposed to register as well?

I don’t have any skills in secondary professions."

"Of course not. I didn’t bring you here for that.

As I said, we’re going to start our business, and to do that, we first need to register our brand,

My main job in the business will be to co up with the products and make them, as well as train our future staff," he replied,

then turned his head toward her and added with a smile,

"And you’ll be my assistant manager,"
