Chapter 216: Touching Grass After Thousands of Years!

.

In the past, to face the calamity that had nearly brought ruin to the entire continent, ten divine weapons were sent down from the heavens.

Weapons whose very existence would make any plane of existence tremble, yet given the dire situation, even such intervention was deed necessary by the heavens themselves.

These weapons were bestowed upon several individuals of that plane as a sign of divine recognition, acknowledging their strength and worthiness.

Needless to say, the power they released far surpassed what any of those beings could ever hope to unleash on their own, even those among them who were Spirit Realm cultivators, so of whom had already reached its advanced stages.

One of those blessed by the heavens was none other than Lin Xian, the Empress of the Elves at the ti, protector of peace, symbol of life and prosperity, for her power itself embodied creation and vitality.

The weapon she received was a sword, simple in appearance, yet elegant in design, and its strength was anything but simple.

Its na was Shēnghuá, The Blade of Blooming Life.

The might of those ten divine weapons was beyond imagination, and the aid they offered back then was imnse.

Thanks to them, the forces of this plane of existence managed to repel much of the calamity brought by the corrupted creatures, even saving countless beings who had been on the brink of succumbing to that corruptive energy

But unfortunately, the power of those weapons was still not enough to confront the true source of the disaster, and in the end, they were all destroyed, and with them, their wielders.

This happened during the expedition in which the most powerful beings of the three empires united to face the threat that lurked beyond the mountain range.

Yet, despite their combined strength, they failed miserably.

What many do not know, however, is that those weapons were never truly erased, they were shattered, scattered across the entire continent into innurable fragnts.

Many of those fragnts were later discovered, and though they were but tiny remnants of the original divine arms, the power they held was anything but insignificant. Over ti, many found and used these fragnts to strengthen themselves and prosper.

Until, one day, a certain individual decided to gather all the discovered fragnts, and even those still hidden from the eyes of the world.

What beca of those weapon fragnts afterward, no one truly knows.

Yet what was known was that so fragnts of those divine weapons still existed sowhere on the continent.

For millennia after the calamity, countless explorers and powerful cultivators sought them endlessly, but even after all that ti, the number of fragnts ever found could barely be counted on the fingers of one hand.

One such fragnt eventually fell into the hands of the Han family.

Unlike most others, this fragnt had dissolved into the very fabric of the world itself, guided by the faint consciousness of the weapon that still lingered within it.

That faint will kept it hidden from all eyes, letting it move from one host to another every few decades, or even centuries, slowly rebuilding its own strength through them.

That continued until a certain individual decided to put an end to it.

That individual was none other than Zhu Rong, who had discovered the fragnt’s true nature, and now, that very fragnt had ended up in Lin Xian’s hands.

However, this fragnt was not just any piece of a divine weapon, it was a fragnt of Lin Xian’s own sword, sothing she had never expected to see again

At that mont, Zhu Rong stood within his secret realm, on a wide, open area along the mountainside.

There, he had arranged a complex rune formation, ticulously prepared with an assortnt of materials, each differing in form and dinsion.

At the center of this formation rested the divine weapon fragnt.

Its protective layer had been stripped away, revealing it fully, a broken sword hilt, clearly aged and worn by ti. Yet the aura it emitted was no weaker than that of a cultivator at the peak of the Mortal Realm, perhaps even beyond.

And that was rely the aura of a fragnt of the complete weapon.

Only two individuals were present in that area, Zhu Rong and Yuan Lan.

Seeing all this, the latter let out a soft sigh as her eyes began to emit a golden light, and her cross shaped pupils flared with even greater intensity. As that happened, the runic formation also began to react, its lines lighting up one by one, glowing rapidly in succession.

Monts later, several secondary arrays erged, seemingly detaching from the ground as they rose into the air.

The materials placed at various points around them began to shine with a golden hue and were lifted skyward, moving in different directions before rearranging themselves into a new, more intricate pattern.

The process lasted only a few seconds, but when it ended, a formation far more complex than the original now floated in the sky, with the weapon fragnt suspended at its center.

Zhu Rong nodded at the sight.

In response to his command, Yuan Lan, controlling the array, sent forth a silent spiritual impulse, triggering a chain reaction within it.

The materials began to crumble, dissolving into countless beads of light of every color,

red, yellow, green, blue, violet, black, shifting endlessly as they converged toward the fragnt at the center of the formation.

The fragnt was soon engulfed by the multicolored lights.

It was soon swallowed, and only its outline could still be seen, though even that began to fade as ti passed. Yet, as this happened, its shape seed to shift, changing from what once resembled a hilt into sothing undefined, only to transform once more.

Before long, however, its silhouette was completely enveloped by the glow of the luminous sphere forming around it, which kept expanding until it reached nearly two ters in diater.

At that mont, Zhu Rong rose into the air, reaching the sa height as the floating formation. He pressed two fingers against his forehead, and when he drew them away, a glowing yellow orb erged from it.

The orb hovered above his fingers for a mont before he gently sent it forward toward the center of the formation.

As it reached the center, the orb was imdiately absorbed into the sphere of light.

The runic structure encircling it reacted instantly.

The runes flared one after another, forming a swirling vortex of light that enveloped the entire sphere. Slowly, the symbols began to distort, dim, and finally dissolve into the air like ash carried away by the wind.

Yet they did not disappear completely, reforming instead into a new configuration, this ti spherical, encasing the glowing orb like a protective shell.

The spherical array trembled once more before gradually contracting, shrinking smaller and smaller, and with it, the luminous sphere within, until only a tiny spark remained.

That spark descended slowly, stopping about two ters above the ground.

For a mont, everything fell silent. Then, an explosion of light.

A surge of pure energy rippled outward.

At the center of the radiance, threads of light began to erge, moving as if alive. They intertwined and condensed into a tangible shape, a human form.

First ca the bones, white and delicate as jade, then the nerves and muscles, weaving together like golden threads.

Finally, skin, smooth, radiant, almost translucent, stretched over the newly ford body. The surrounding glow softened into a gentle golden aura.

For a heartbeat, the figure remained motionless, suspended in that sacred light. Then, a faint pulse rippled through the air, followed by the first breath.

The brilliance dimd further, gradually revealing the features of a young girl.

Her face was delicate, almost ethereal, radiating purity from every inch of her being.

Her golden hair cascaded down to her waist, swaying like strands of light at the slightest movent. Beneath it, two slender, slightly pointed ears peeked out, an unmistakable sign of her race.

Only then, as her eyes slowly opened, two erald eyes were revealed, clear, deep, and shimring with a divine light that seed to pierce straight into the soul of anyone who beheld her.

Unaware of her own exposed form, still dazed by her sudden rebirth, the young girl slowly grew conscious of her surroundings.

Her gaze finally settled upon the figure of Zhu Rong standing before her, and in her eyes, a spark of recognition flickered, as though her soul had rediscovered sothing long lost.

"Heh," she murmured with a faint smile. "To think I’d walk in this plane of existence once more..."

Her voice was soft, youthful, and full of life, yet it carried a calmness and maturity that didn’t match her apparent age.

Her body had stopped floating, and as her bare feet finally touched the grass for the first ti in so long, she savored the feeling of being alive once more.

But the mont of bliss was not ant to last.

She took a single step and instantly lost her balance.

Accompanied by a cute "Kya!" yelp, she promptly fell face first into the ground.

Zhu Rong: "..."
