The sunlight poured through the stained windows of the old church, casting a golden hue on the wooden floors. Birds chirped in the distance. It was a quiet, peaceful morning — a rare kind of silence that ca after chaos.

Ethan stirred from bed, the warm scent of sothing delicious wafting through the air. His muscles still felt sore from the dungeon dives, but in a satisfying way. A good kind of ache — the kind that ca from growth.

He sat up, glancing around. The once-rundown church had changed. The repairs were nearly complete — walls fixed, windows no longer cracked, even the roof no longer leaked. It looked like a real ho now.

His ho.

As he stepped into the small dining area, he saw Lili humming as she cooked, apron wrapped tightly around her small fra. She looked up when he entered and bead.

"Good morning, Ethan-sama! Breakfast will be ready soon."

He gave her a nod and smiled back. "Morning, Lili. Slls amazing."

"Lili’s olets are really good," Hestia added, already seated and sipping from a mug. "Not better than mine, of course—but still pretty good."

Ethan sat down at the table, stretching his arms. "So... what’s the plan for today? No dungeon?"

Hestia raised a brow. "You planning to throw yourself into the Dungeon again after just leveling up?"

Ethan shrugged. "I’m not going to go full throttle, but I was thinking of scouting so gear shops. Maybe so potion supplies. You know, get ready."

Hestia tapped her fingers on the table, considering it. "Alright. But no fighting floor bosses for at least a day, got it?"

Lili giggled. "That’s fair."

After breakfast, they walked through the busy streets of Orario together. The market buzzed with activity — vendors shouting out prices, adventurers bragging about dungeon exploits, and children running between stalls.

They stopped by a potion shop where Ethan stocked up on healing potions and mana restoratives. He talked briefly with the shopkeeper, an elderly dwarf who tried to upsell him enchanted salves. Lili pulled him away before he overpaid.

Next stop was a gear rchant, where Ethan tested the weight of a few new daggers and short swords. None of them felt quite right.

"You’ve grown too strong for standard gear," Lili said thoughtfully. "You need sothing made specifically for you."

Ethan sighed. "Yeah... we’ll have to find a good blacksmith again."

Hestia grinned. "We could always visit her again."

Lili raised a brow. "Her?"

"An old friend of mine. She forged Ethan’s current gear. Kind of a brute, but talented," Hestia said with a fond smirk.

They made their way past the Guild building where Ethan turned in a small batch of crystals from their last dive, receiving a modest pouch of valis. The receptionist congratulated him on reaching Level 2 — news had apparently spread.

The rest of the day passed quietly. They bought supplies for the church: extra bedding, a few books, better cookware. Small things that slowly turned their ho into a place of comfort and warmth.

As the sun dipped behind the city walls and painted the sky in shades of orange and red, the trio returned ho. Ethan stood on the roof for a while, watching the people below. Adventurers ca and went from the Dungeon. The city was alive, constantly moving.

But in this mont, Ethan allowed himself to breathe.

To simply live.

And for now, that was enough.
