"S-Sir Demon King...!!" The Greater Demon Lord sputtered, fear draining the color from his face. "Three of the casualties were from the Seven Underworlds Sect, and the other nine... were all from the Vile Fla Sect..."

He mumbled the last part, forcing Demon King Wang to ask him once more, this ti in an extrely terrifying tone.

"Nine Demon Kings of the Vile Fla Sect died, Sir Demon King!!"

’So I had heard correctly...!? Then that ans...’

The Vile Fla Sect had been crippled!

It only had nine Demonic Ancestors of the Demon King Rank, and if all of them had died, then the Sect had all but been torn away from its 1st-rate Sect status!

Most worrying of all was that the 1st Demonic Ancestor of the Vile Fla Sect was a top Paragon in the 6th Layer of the Origin Infant Realm!

How could soone like that die so easily!?

Just what sort of Grand Elder had the Blazing Sun Sect left behind!?

Both absurdly powerful and in control of a massively formidable Army of the Undead!?

"Was the Raid destined to fail from the start...?" Demon King Wang murmured self-deprecatingly, his nonchalant attitude from earlier nowhere to be seen. "The Blazing Sun Sect has just been playing with us, giving us hope before tearing us down... Are we forever cursed to live in the huge shadow cast by the Great Sects...??"

Silence...

No!

OOOM!

He refused!

After nearly ten thousand years of cultivation, he had achieved the 9th Layer Origin Infant Realm. No way in hell was he going to let all of his effort go to waste because of the interference of a single busybody elder of the Blazing Sun Sect!

Today, they’d leave with what they ca for!!

"Rally up everyone!!" Demon King Wang rose from his throne, shattering it and everything around him. "Contact the other Demon Kings!! Tonight, we siege this mysterious Grand Elder!!! We’ll murder him, chop him up, and refine him into a Blood Pill!!!"

"Yes, Sir Demon King!!"

With that, the pieces began falling into place. Millions of Demonic Cultivators of all different cultivations shouted their battle cries as every single one of them flew in the sa direction.

This matter was so urgent that they even temporarily put back the execution of the Direct Elders and other such high executives from every Sect Branch. It also left many of the captive Blazing Sun Sect mbers wondering why there was a sudden change in objectives.

Could it have sothing to do with that enormous burst of Sword Light from earlier?

Observing the result of said Sword Light from a mountaintop villa that she was tied up on, Direct Elder Fu Yu found herself dumbstruck.

She was unable to comprehend how so much devastating destruction could co about from a single person—let alone from a single attack...

"A line of destruction spanning multiple mountains in width, going in a straight line for who knows how many miles," Direct Elder Fu Yu muttered. "I just hope a Sword Dao Grandmaster of this caliber is really on our side..."

— Not long later —

Being forced to watch alongside his Master, Zar—from his main body’s perspective—sat outside at her pagoda. Beside him was Hua Ling and Xue Qing, both of whom were sizing each other up, one confident and the other annoyed over her presently bland appearance. A bit further back, sitting on chairs next to the pagoda, were ng, Zar’s in-na disciples, as well as the rest of Valley Master Yu’s disciples.

’We’ve all been led over here to witness the fight of my Primordial Soul fighting against dozens of Demon Kings and millions of Demonic Cultivators, felt and seen from even millions of miles away,’ he thought while making a complicated expression. ’Even though I’ve gotten used to coordinating fights and relaxing at the sa ti with the distribution of my mind’s focus, I don’t think I’ll ever find events like this involving aweing at myself normal...’

"This is a battle between absolute powerhouses," Valley Master Yu said with a sparkle in her usually expressionless eyes. "It’s sothing you’ll likely only witness once in your life. And in spite of the invasion on our Sect, you must have confidence in your Sect. The higher-ups would not just leave us so defenseless, and that Elder single-handedly fighting off dozens of Demon Kings and the entirety of the enemy’s forces in the distance is evidence of this!"

Wrong!

The Blazing Sun Sect’s higher-ups were so arrogant that they believed no one would launch an attack on the Sect’s Lower Expanse!

And with those of the Higher Expanse all off fighting bloody wars with three different Kingdoms at the sa ti, nobody was left behind to protect the Sect!

Not a single personage of high cultivation could be spared when battles at the warfronts had reached such a critical level...

Well, there was one. But she was useless.

"Usamagi Buns...? Where...!? Mhmm..."

Anyway...

There were plenty of ’Allies’ of the Blazing Sun Sect all around the Lower Expanse who could potentially help. This included dozens of Mortal Dynasties and the 1st-rate and below Sects of over 25 Regions just as large as the Rising Dawn Province, but none would co to the Blazing Sun Sect’s assistance.

Why?

Waiting for the danger to subside, then jumping in to secretly snatch all the resources for themselves whilst blaming it on the soon-to-be-destroyed Demonic Sects was far more profitable!

This World was not one based on the Power of Friendship.

It was everyone for themselves.

Alliances ant very little when actual danger was involved.

Zar would agree.

"Alliances are fickle," said Primordial Soul Zar as he effortlessly redirected dozens of powerful attacks aiming to take his life. "Only one’s own strength reigns supre. Alliances are rely ant to extend upon what you already possess within your fists."

With hands infused with Level 1 Sword Aura, Zar moved like a flowing stream, his arms a blur.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The redirected attacks shot out randomly behind him, obliterating tens of thousands of miles of land in an instant. And this happened several tis in the span of a couple seconds as a dozen Demon Kings relentlessly fired at a lone Godling.

"Why won’t this little brat die???" One of the Demon Kings, called Yang, could be seen thoughtlessly flailing his arms, with smoke pouring out of his pointed ears. "The majority of our Disciples and Descendants have already perished or been crippled! If we can’t defeat this brat now, then all our efforts would’ve been for naught!!"

"Just DIE—..."
