— anwhile, at a rapidly changing location in the sky —

A version of Zar whose face could not be seen was recalling and sending out Shadow Beasts left and right. They were directed to spread out to various locations of the Sect, then they were to rcilessly slaughter anyone that wasn’t from the Blazing Sun Sect.

"Albion," Zar called out as he landed on the summit of a huge mountain that overlooked tens of thousands of miles of the Sect’s Territory. "Go. Hunt the strong ones. But leave the strongest ones for ."

"Yee...s, Mass...ter..."

FWIP!

Albion ca and left like a blurry feathered demon. A streak that matched its color sche could be seen zipping around at many tis the speed of sound, slicing off heads wherever it went.

It eventually clashed with Body Integration Realm Demonic Powerhouses, and though its cultivation was a whole two major stages less, it mattered not. For in the face of its harrowing White Lotus Fla of death, all were reduced to ash.

Activating the White Lotus Divine Fla himself, its Low-Heaven Rank potency reflected within Zar’s emotionless blue pupils as he held it in the palm of his hand.

Quenching it, his eyes shot toward the extre north. There, descending from the heavens above were fiendish cultivators that possessed auras too powerful to properly quantify.

It was unlike anything he had ever felt before...

*Ding!*

[Nad Beast ’Albion’ has slain a 2nd Layer Body Integration Realm Demonic Cultivator; it has seized 1090 years of Lifespan!]

[Nad Beast ’Albion’ has slain a 1st Layer Body Integration Realm Demonic Cultivator; it has seized 920 years of Lifespan!]

[Nad Beast ’Albion’ has slain a 2nd Layer Body Integration Realm Demonic Cultivator; it has seized 865 years of Lifespan!]

[Nad...]

As soon as the deaths of the higher-ranking Demonic Cultivators started rolling in, the devilish eyes of the Origin Infant Realm Demonic Ancestors honed in on Albion. However, after approximating the threat, only one decided to fly over and resolve the issue, whereas the other dozen-plus split up and shot toward the largest Direct Sect Branches.

Screams and cries could be heard all around the Blazing Sun Sect, furrowing Zar’s brows very deeply.

His Shadow Beasts had already killed tens of thousands of Demonic Cultivators, saving tens of Trial Sects, a few Inner Sects, multiple Elite Sects, and a couple Core Sects. But the Blazing Sun Sect was simply too large, and his forces too small.

If Zar wanted to save as many of his Sect mbers as he could, then he had to think up a solution. And he had to do it fast.

But before that, there was sothing more dire that needed to be attended to...

*Fwooop!*

Taking thousand-mile stride after the next, Zar finally arrived at a point in the sky where the Demonic Ancestor targeting Albion would surely pass by. And just as he expected, after a couple seconds of waiting, an ominous figure garbed in blood-red robes phased in just a few hundred feet away from him.

[Hei Yan (Origin Infant 1st Layer) 6670/8,999/9,200]

Silence...

For a mont, the two opposing figures in the sky just stared at each other.

Until the Demonic Ancestor went and spoke with an ancient eerie voice capable of sending chills down one’s spine.

"Your cultivation is false. Who are you? A Direct Elder of the Blazing Sun Sect?"

No response.

"Well, it truly doesn’t matter if you answer or not," Hei Yan said with a wicked tone, his pale skin vibrating with absurd levels of energy. "Your true Cultivation is still far from sufficient enough to get in my way. So—"

SHING!

"—Just die already."

Without even looking back, Hei Yan sheathed his thin cane-sword and continued carrying out his original objective.

However...

"Where do you think you’re going?" Zar asked while tightly clasping the Demonic Ancestor’s shoulder, his bloody body still in the process of regenerating from the attack that cleaved him in two. "You’re strong. Very strong. So why don’t we fight?"

’How!?’

Hei Yan pushed away from Zar, shock etched across his sinisterly twisted, wrinkled face. "I cut both your Body and Nascent Soul into two! You shouldn’t be alive right now! Just who are you, boy!?"

"?" Zar repeated as he glanced at the Low-Heaven ’Ascendant Nirvana Regeneration’ Martial Technique in his System Interface. "I’m just a farr."

Hei Yan’s expression contorted in anger. "Fine then, don’t tell ," he scowled. "I’ll get the answer by force after I extract your soul and skin you alive!"

OOOM!

Erupting with the full power of the Origin Infant Realm, the Demon Ancestor’s human-like form rapidly inflated. Large obsidian horns grew out of his head, a pair of crimson wings shot out of his back, and he grew to over ten ters in size.

Then he blurred.

"!?!"

Reacting far too late, Zar was put at the rcy of the Demonic Ancestor. First ca a punch to his side that exploded him into at chunks. Then a hellish beam of energy reduced him to ashes, also razing the scenery around them for thousands of miles on end.

It was like Hell on Earth.

"Shit," Hei Yan cursed. "I figured you’d put up a bit more of a fight, what with that regeneration skill you showed earlier. But it would appear that I overestimated you. Unfortunately, I didn’t figure out who you were, but I guess it doesn’t matter now."

As a descendant of a Hellish Bull Demon Beast, he was confident that not even another Origin Infant Realm Cultivator could survive after taking his Late-Earth ’Incineration Beam’ head-on—

"That was painful."

"!!!"

Forced to turn back around for the second ti today, Hei Yan’s eyes widened when he saw a gory humanoid take shape. Blood and tendons attached together, with a head and hair taking form. Then there was that pair of piercing blue eyes that imdiately glued themselves to the stunned Demonic Ancestor.

"Th...This is..." he muttered. "Just what sort of heavenly Restoration Skill is this?? Can it be..."

Was it above the Earth Rank!?

"There’s no way that’s possible!" Hei Yan exclaid. "Even your Grand Elders and Supre Elders aren’t guaranteed to have Martial Techniques of the Heaven Rank! And not just anyone can practice Heaven-rank Techniques, for your talent needs to be ridiculously high! This is an illusion; it must be!!"

"...."

’What a letdown...’
