As for the future where these Imperial Guards might develop around the Mzab area and launch a revenge attack on Algiers, it is almost impossible to occur.

In the future, their lives will basically be a struggle with the Sahara Desert. Surviving would already be considered a success, so where would they find the energy to head north and cause trouble?

However, after decades or even hundreds of years, the hundreds of thousands of people struggling to survive in Mzab are likely to be assimilated by the wealthy French Algeria Province, depending on France economically, politically, and culturally.

At that ti, the situation where they voluntarily request to join the French Province is very likely to occur.

In the warehouse of the Governor’s Palace in Mitidja, it was filled with a great deal of wealth brought by Shefik, with a freshly counted amount of 210,000 rials, which is 4.4 million francs.

These were all confiscated from the hos of the Algiers Guard. Of course, the majority of it was embezzled by the Algerian Navy.

In Uster’s bedroom, Shefik was kneeling on the ground with a face full of panic, complaining: "Esteed Governor, those tribal peasants stole a large amount of wealth, which is why only this small amount was offered to you..."

He sneaked a peek at the Governor, testing: "If you allow to judge those peasants, I guarantee that I can recover every single Gold Coin they took!"

Uster gave him a cold glance and said in a deep voice: "This is your last chance, do not disappoint .

"Oh, by the way, let remind you, you need an army to deal with those peasants."

Shefik was imdiately overjoyed: "Thank you for the suggestion! So... do you think 3,000 soldiers would be appropriate?"

Currently, there is only one French garrison in Algiers, and if the Navy forces could have their own army, they would surely secure their position as the actual rulers of Algiers!

Uster impatiently waved his hand: "Recruit as many soldiers as you can, but don’t say it’s my idea. I wouldn’t want Paris to send inspectors to Mitidja."

"Yes, great Governor, you are completely unaware of this affair."

At the sa ti, Berbers throughout Algiers were holding celebrations.

In every city and even in all the major tribes, soone was giving talks about the Berber-Arab descendant origins of Algiers.

The conclusion naturally aligned with the theory in the "Tunisian Origin Analysis"—everyone was a descendant of Ro.

Not everyone believed this narrative, but the Roman Compatriots had just helped drive away the despotic Imperial Guards who had lorded over them for hundreds of years, and given a silver coin to everyone, including children, so people happily accepted this explanation.

The money naturally ca from confiscating the nobles of the Imperial Guard. The bulk of this wealth was with the great Berber nobles and tribal leaders, so they were exceedingly polite to the speaking officials sent by France from Tunisia.

In the pale white villa opposite the Governor’s Palace in Mitidja, Rahman was discussing the "Roman Revolution" with more than ten influential Berber tribal leaders.

In fact, they had no interest in so-called "revolution," "rights and freedom," but they knew that as long as they raised the banner of the "Roman Descendants," they could beco the elite of Algiers and gain imnse wealth, just as when they liquidated the Imperial Guard before.

In the mid-19th century, France conquered Algeria, turning it into a source of raw materials and a strategic rear area. During World War II, to fight against the Axis powers, France promised the Algerian people that if they helped France win the war, they would allow it to be independent. After World War II, France beca a victorious nation but, eager to repair the war wounds, not only did not fulfill its promise, but exploited the Algerian people even more. Patriotic people across Algeria secretly established the Revolutionary Committee of Unity and Action in March 1954 (renad the National Liberation Front after the start of the war), established guerrilla forces, and decided to launch a massive uprising that November. On September 19, 1958, the Provisional Governnt of the Algerian Republic was proclaid. In June 1960, negotiations between France and Algeria began. The Algerian National Liberation Front negotiated while leading the Liberation Army to repeatedly break through the 300-kiloter-long, about 1-kiloter-wide "Morris Line" of the French Army, crushing the enemy’s strategic policy of "holding key points and total blockade." On March 18, 1962, the French Governnt was forced to sign the "Evian Accords" with the Algerian Provisional Governnt, acknowledging the Algerian people’s right to self-determination. On July 1 of the sa year, Algeria held a referendum. On July 3, independence was declared. On September 25, the country’s na was announced as the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, and the national liberation war achieved its final victory.

At the dawn of November 1, 1954, the National Liberation Army of Algeria simultaneously launched uprisings in more than 30 places nationwide, attacking the colonial authorities’ stations, outposts, gendarries, police stations, and other military targets. That morning, the insurgents also broadcast the news of the uprising and the declarations of the National Liberation Front and Liberation Army to the world through Algerian patriots in Cairo, Egypt. After the uprising, the National Liberation Army first established bases in the Great Kabyli Mountain area in the diterranean and the Aures Mountains near the Tunisian border, continually expanding the scope of the bases. The actions of the insurgents caused great shock and panic to the French colonial authorities, who imdiately assembled nearly 50,000 troops in Algeria to suppress, and urgently dispatched large reinforcents from ho. By the end of 1955, the French military strength had surged to 200,000 troops. The French Army, following the strategy of "zonal encirclent and eradication, comb-shaped search, gathering and annihilation," used aircraft, tanks, and other modern weapons to implent encirclent, assault, and large-scale offensive campaigns against the National Liberation Army. In the face of the French military’s strategy and superior forces, the National Liberation Army adopted flexible and mobile guerrilla strategies and tactics, avoiding enemy assault forces, using familiar terrain, dispersing into small units, and effectively striking the French Army. By early 1956, the National Liberation Army had grown to over 15,000 troops, plus 115,000 militian, with ard struggle spread throughout the entire northern region of Algeria. During the early stages of the ard struggle, the National Liberation Army faced so issues, mainly organizational dispersion, and a lack of strong central leadership and correct political guidance. To address these, the National Liberation Front held its first congress in Sumam Valley, Kabylia, in August 1956, known as the "Sumam Conference." The conference elected the highest political and military leadership body of the National Liberation Front, the Algerian National Revolutionary Committee, composed of 17 full mbers and 17 alternate mbers. The conference also adopted the "National Liberation Front Program." This "Program" clearly defined Algeria’s nature of revolution, war objectives, ceasefire conditions, and peace talks. The war objectives and ceasefire conditions were to defeat the French Army, destroy France’s economy in Algeria, and, in accordance with warti international law, continuously expand revolutionary forces. It aid to compel the French authorities to fully recognize Algeria’s independence and sovereignty and recognize the National Liberation Front as the representative of the Algerian people. After the National Liberation Front’s first congress, the National Liberation Army went through reorganization.
