Many people wanted to build a connection with Kim Donghu.
Simply knowing soone could beco a source of power. In an era where just being close to soone was considered a form of influence—put bluntly, “connections were a skill” now. Of course, it only worked if both parties believed they had a connection.
Anyway—
At this point in ti, there was an undeniably singular presence in Korea.
“No need to think about it. Obviously, it’s Kim Donghu.”
There was no need to sugarcoat it—it was Kim Donghu. Plain and simple.
Anyti he showed up, people sward. Anything he wore sold out instantly. Whatever he did was either a first or a record-breaker.
And it’s not like he had a bad personality. His character was exceptional—flawless, even.
He wasn’t just a blue chip. He was the oga blue chip.
A bit of a childish term, sure.
But that’s how badly people wanted to get close to Kim Donghu.
So much so that there was even a option titled,
“Calling out to Kim Donghu at night to be your Robin.”
It didn’t beat the classic “Calling Jaedragon to brag about good news,”
But the fact that it outperford everything else spoke volus about public sentint.
So it was no surprise that—
“...Why the hell do I have so many emails.”
Choi Seokho’s personal inbox was overflowing with ssages from people desperate to connect with Kim Donghu.
Back in the days when he was still working as a manager, he’d tossed emails around left and right. He never imagined it would all co back like karmic debt.
It was always bad, but lately it felt like things had gotten worse. The problem was that it was hard to flat-out reject all of them.
So of the proposals actually looked promising—especially variety show offers that could work if the timing was right. So it was hard to use “schedule conflict” as an excuse and shoot everything down.
Of course, the final call always rested with Kim Donghu anyway.
“He’s just on another level now. Every single offer coming in is huge.”
Back in the day, if a business inquiry ca in, he could pre-filter them based on their level. It made things easier.
But now, too many of the offers were high-level to ignore. Even Choi Seokho couldn’t filter them all.
And then—a particularly ambiguous email landed in his inbox. Possibly the most difficult decision of his life.
“...Cheonseok-hyung?”
It was a ssage from Hong Cheonseok.
The world’s safest oppa, and the world’s most dangerous hyung.
The proposal, of course, was for Kim Donghu to °• N 𝑜 v 𝑒 l i g h t •° appear on his YouTube channel.
“He’s even willing to co all the way to the U.S. just to shoot?”
From what he knew, the man worked with at least ten staff minimum. Flying that many people over just to shoot one YouTube video?
“This feels like the tail wagging the dog...”
Or maybe not.
Lately, Donghu’s YouTube activity had been minimal due to his packed schedule.
“If people who’ve been waiting for new Donghu YouTube content all see this...”
Hitting ten million views in 24 hours would be nothing. On top of that, if Kim Donghu was involved, the PPL money would flood in.
Bringing an entire crew to the U.S. might be a massive cost short-term, but in the long run? It would be a ridiculous gain.
“Still, with Donghu’s current shooting schedule, this just isn’t realistic...”
Or so he thought.
“...Wait. He’s already in the U.S. just to propose the offer?”
He read the ssage, stunned by the level of persistence.
That ssage beca the reason Choi Seokho gave Hong Cheonseok access to Kim Donghu’s work number.
“You’re... nearby right now?”
Which is how Kim Donghu ended up eting Hong Cheonseok.
***
“Talk casually, will you? There’s no need to be so stiff between us!”
Between us? And why do you emphasize every syllable when you're being stiff?
As soon as he got a ssage from Hong Cheonseok—no, Cheonseok-hyung—the first thing that ca to Donghu’s mind was:
“Fucking fate again?”
Was fate still hanging around ?
Of course, all the borderline sexual comnts he made to n—they were exaggerated for broadcast, to build a certain image and codic value. But even just talking on the phone made Donghu nervous.
There was a primal sense of threat.
“Ah... ahaha... Y-Yeah. I’ll talk casually too, hyung.”
“Our Donghu is so handso, you can just yell ‘hey!’ and it’s fine.”
“Y-Yeah, sure...”
“See, I had business in Hollywood and all...”
Cheonseok-hyung asked if it was okay to talk, and when Donghu said yes, the conversation just kept rolling.
He talked about how he ended up calling, how he was a fan ever since High Dream, and finally ended with an offer to appear on his YouTube channel.
“Honestly, I know your schedule makes this hard to do right away. But if you ever just feel like it, even the day before, just let know.”
“Ah—no, the day before is a bit...”
“No, Donghu. Seriously, it’s fine. Just tell if you can. I’ll fly out right away.”
He sounded like he ant it, which was kind of terrifying.
It felt like eting a natural predator.
“This part is WWE.”
But seriously, if he thought about it—
“I’ll be flying back to Korea next month anyway. Should we try to fit sothing in then?”
Honestly, it didn’t sound like a bad idea.
He hadn’t been active on YouTube lately, and his own channel was gathering dust.
“R-Really?!”
“Just showing up would be boring, so let’s make it a condition—You appear on my YouTube channel too.”
Since he’d be on Cheonseok-hyung’s channel, might as well revive his own.
“!? Of course! That’s amazing! Aaahh! Just tell the schedule next month, okay?”
“Yeah. You can get the details from Seokho-hyung.”
“Got it! Thanks!”
“I should be the one thanking you. Anyway, I’ve got to go—schedule stuff. Talk later, hyung.”
“Sure! Let’s definitely et up!”
And with that, the call ended. Donghu imdiately picked up his phone and asked:
“SIMS, this counts as part of my Tantan Dero perk, right?”
[....]
The response was just a string of periods. Was that confirmation or ambiguity?
Or maybe it’s a variable... but a good one?
Maybe Fate really was behind all this. Should we summon Zain Lance again to have him get possessed or sothing? Since I didn’t beat him properly last ti.
Just kidding.
I’m looking forward to this.
What kind of synergy would this create? He found himself genuinely excited for next month’s return to Korea.

“Lighting! Lighting is critical! Caras! Caras are crucial!”
Two hours before filming. The staff were checking and re-checking the sa things over and over again.
How many years had they waited for this day?
The channel had finally grown big enough—the scale large enough to confidently ask Kim Donghu to appear. That took an insane amount of ti and effort to build.
Ugh! Donghu’s so successful, you can’t even run into him on variety shows anymore.
Usually, if soone worked in dostic entertainnt long enough, they’d eventually bump into each other, swap business cards, maybe get a contact.
But Kim Donghu had been special from the very beginning. So it never happened.
No wonder he only showed up on variety shows every few years, if that.
And every ti he does, it’s a massive hit.
That Kim Donghu was coming to their channel.
Hong Cheonseok smiled wide and reviewed the contract terms again.
“We shoot first, but Donghu uploads it on his own channel before we do,”
was the deal.
But that applied to the main video. They were told teaser videos were totally fine.
In other words—
“We can milk this with teasers of teasers of teasers.”
And so—

—HOW IS THIS REAL
All they did was post that Donghu was appearing, and the comnts exploded.
A thousand comnts in under an hour. And it’s not like they were giving away free stuff—the engagent was unreal.
Even international fans sohow found the post and started comnting.
Saying today’s shoot was the channel’s do-or-die mont wasn’t exaggeration.
The channel was already doing well—but this might usher in a golden age.
Kim Donghu.
He had just—
“Hello.”
—arrived at the set.
Everyone knew the rule by now: Kim Donghu always arrives early, so they’d deliberately told him a later ti.
That way, everything was ready when he showed up.
“He’s insane. He’s actually insane. How can soone be this good-looking? Is this even real?”
Hong Cheonseok was floored the mont he saw Donghu.
Before today’s shoot, he’d asked about boundaries—what was okay to do.
And Kim Donghu had answered,
“It’s all fine. If needed, I can even go shirtless.”
With that bold declaration—Hong Cheonseok, equally bold, reached out and poked Donghu’s chest.
“Seriously... oh my God... this is unreal. He’s like a wild stallion—No, like one of those super buff carnivores! You know what I an?!?”
And just like that—
Kim Donghu and Hong Cheonseok had finally t.
