Another person sneered dismissively, "So what if the Adams family’s T-Rex hasn’t been seen for a while? I suspect the news of his demise is true. Without the protection of the T-Rex, whether this genius will even have the chance to grow is a question."
Today’s attendees were all mbers of Los Angeles’ ruling class.
Either wealthy or powerful.
Their information was very well-inford; they knew the Abak family, which always stayed on the fringes in Los Angeles, dared to make a move against the three founding families of NW and sought to take over the leadership of NW’s headquarters because they had the support of those influential squid-like forces.
If this genius hadn’t gotten involved with the Adams family, it would have been highly likely that soone from the Abak family would’ve tried to recruit him.
Now... it’s hard to say.
A genius you can’t control is not a good genius!
Without the support of Weapons, a Third Rank Life poses too great a threat. It’s uncertain whether the Abak family would allow a genius like Brian to continue growing.
They realized there would be quite a show to watch today.
Most of the people who ca here today were either enhancers or Beastification People, with keen Five Senses.
Naturally, the conversations of these few were not hidden from the rest.
As the Clan Leader of the Abak family left, although the crowd appeared to still be forming small chat groups, most people were already looking outside the hall with the expressions of spectators ready for a show.
...
Among those watching the show were Thor Liki, Sven White, and Rados Wittgenstein.
After the death of the three founders at the base, these three had beco the new controllers of their respective families.
Today’s eting was also the result of their covert efforts.
For them,
The Abak family was inconsequential, rely a pawn to test Brian’s abilities.
They were both curious and wary of the Power that Brian possessed. Pretending to be weak, they acted as if they didn’t undermine the Abak family’s offensive and ca to a consensus with them, preparing for a peaceful and profitable deal, and pushed for this eting.
Thor’s eyes sparkled with a pair of violet pupils as he smiled at his companions, "Brian has arrived."
An invisible magnetic field surged around them, sealing their voices within their little circle.
White nodded with an anticipatory expression, "I hope this Brian, true to his title, will bring disaster upon the Abak family."
Rados, standing beside him, shook his head, "I’d actually prefer it if the Abak family could suppress this Brian. I suspect there’s a Third Rank Life supporting the Abak family, but compared to the threat of a Third Rank Life, Pollution seems to be more troubleso to ."
Listening to his companions, Thor remained indifferent.
A surge of azure energy flashed in his eyes as he spoke calmly, "Whether it’s Brian forcing the Abak family to reveal their trump card, or the Abak family forcing Brian’s hand, either outco is good for us. Let’s go and take a look."
In Thor’s mind, any plot or sche was laughable in the face of absolute power.
Today’s main character was only himself!
Without that old immortal’s restraint, the Liki family will shine even brighter in his hands!
...
Outside the eting room.
Brian paused as he looked at the hall in front of him.
Susan, who was linking arms with him, asked in confusion, "What’s wrong?"
Brian chuckled, "I see the eting hall is covered with dark clouds; many here will die today."
"Dark clouds?"
Susan glanced up at the clear sky, puzzled.
The two continued forward, crossing ticulously maintained flower beds and fountains, and arrived in front of an open space.
A middle-aged man, accompanied by several others, approached them with a friendly smile.
Without waiting for them to speak,
The man had already extended both hands, "Welco, the fad prodigy of Los Angeles, who achieved the title of Disaster at NW headquarters in less than two years. I am the Clan Leader of the Abak family; you can call Levi. Welco to both of you."
Brian shook hands with him, glanced at the top of Clan Leader Levi’s head, and replied with the sa kindness, "Thank you. I can feel your friendliness and warmth, Clan Leader Levi. By the way, may I ask what your obsession is?"
Levi: ???
What does that an?
His smile froze for a mont but quickly returned to normal. "Obsession? Well, I hope the unrest in Los Angeles settles down soon, and I wish for the Abak family to grow stronger. There’s quite a bit to manage, and I’ll need to work together with others who share our family’s ideals."
Brian nodded, his smile still kind, "Those are very noble obsessions. If you need help, you can contact . You know, my girlfriend’s father, Dean, had the misfortune of passing away not long ago. With Dean gone, the Adams family is unstable internally and there are so outsiders coveting what belongs to the Adams family; we also need friends’ support."
Hearing this, Levi was surprised but mostly relieved.
Brian was a true genius, one with the potential to beco a Third Rank Life.
If possible, he’d prefer to maintain a cooperative relationship with this genius rather than face opposition, especially when compared to Brian, who on his own seed more vulnerable than the Dawn Knight, soone who brought more pressure to Levi.
At this ti, Levi was unaware that the Dawn Knight Rashid, who had propelled their family forward, had set Brian as his target.
Levi’s smile beca more sincere upon hearing the goodwill in Brian’s words.
He nodded, "No problem, but there are already quite a few family representatives here. Let’s go to the eting room first, and after the eting, we can talk about a win-win cooperation."
