Chapter 561: Chapter 298 S-Z1 Containnt Object, Mutant Fusion!_2

This was not an FBI underground base.

Lacking the ans to clean up radiation, the consequence of having only one containnt container was that radiation energy was arbitrarily released within the forest.

This led to the subsequent events.

It also let Brian learn about the origins of the tumor monster.

That guy was clearly an example of cellular self-destruction: his entire cells mutated into cancer-like cells, began proliferating wildly and swelling, causing his external form to undergo irregular changes, eventually turning into sothing resembling a lting ice cream person. Moreover, while fighting with the previous little wolf-dog, due to the mutated cells within, he could not draw enough energy and suddenly dropped dead.

If all this was true, the effects of the “Residual Glow Stone Slab” were truly astonishing.

Brian couldn’t help but look over the contents of the inner box once again.

This ti, his focus was on the word “evolution.”

Evolution is a benchmark qualitative term.

On rcury, every life form, even those living in different areas but of the sa species, has so distinct differences in their genetic chains to adapt to their surroundings.

The simplest example:

A dose of anesthetic could easily knock out a normal person, but for those drug-abusing biochemical superhumans, it might just make them yawn and beco ineffective.

This is because their long-term drug use has caused their nervous system and body tissues to develop resistance, making them more resilient than normal people without resistance.

Can you say that their resistance is an evolution?

Indeed, towards anesthetic drugs.

However, this also ans they are mostly in a dazed state, like walking corpses.

Hence, the term evolution itself is a benchmark qualitative word.

With different benchmarks, the determination varies.

These annotations might have been left by the FBI, or possibly forced by the power handling the broken Residual Glow Stone Slab to the FBI.

The main body is all FBI.

So, what do they think “evolution” ans?

Brian first thought of the nurous Beastification Transford People combat teams in the FBI Rocky Mountains!

He then understood why it was so hard to find Mutant Beasts on land, and even the FBI-related Doomsday Sect had so many individual Beastification People and could research this field so deeply!

It was all thanks to the effects of the Residual Glow Stone Slab!

Could it be that this broken Residual Glow Stone Slab, labeled ‘S-Z1 Containnt Item’ that he seized, ant more to the FBI than he imagined?

Thinking this, Brian felt great!

He always clashed with the people from the FBI.

This clash might stem from his past life’s study materials where every start was coupled with those irritating FBI warning subtitles, or possibly the continual conflicts with them after the Blood Moon.

In any case, making them feel the sting made Brian feel great!

“I just don’t know if every Residual Glow Stone Slab has similar effects, but if they do, then this thing might really be deeply related to the Blood Moon phenonon, and could possibly be the key for us humans to unlock the mystery of the Blood Moon’s appearance!”

Brian licked his lips.

He sniffed and looked to the other side, “Little lynx, looking at your condition, you must have undergone a rare evolution event, really curious what you look like now…”

Decryption ended, now it’s ti to toy with catching a thief.

..

Since it was uncertain whether the oddly-shaped safe, or rather, containnt box, could be opened from the outside once closed, Brian directly chased after the vanishing scent with the box open.

With a thought.

The huge bat wings on his back slowly unfolded, sending hot streams toward the ground, carrying his nearly thousand-pound body gently off the ground, following the scent.

Actually even without the speed boost from the small wings, his speed was astonishing.

In the past, ordinary people might catch a glimpse of his afterimage.

Now, standing next to him was more dangerous than standing next to a high-speed bullet train, not getting a clear view of the figure, they would be thrown about by the huge sound and hurricane, or even directly injured by the wind pressure brought by the hurricane.

However, this kind of movent was also noisy and left very conspicuous traces.

Thus, with jet-powered bat wings, Brian preferred to hover close to the ground, reducing the traces left by his movents.

Although this speed and height were not practical in combat, it looked cool in normal tis!

With his current look, he was just a pair of ram horns short of cosplaying a sinister Hell Lord.

..

The chase didn’t last long.

After going over ten kiloters, Brian noticed so blood splatter on the fallen leaves on the ground.

The shape of the blood splatters didn’t seem to be caused by external forces.

In addition, there were clear footprints of a maple-like feline animal on the ground.

From the traces, it appeared that the Canadian lynx was not in a good state.

He continued forward for about another five kiloters.

On a rocky pile around a shallow forest stream, Brian saw a disgusting lynx carcass.

The creature was truly revolting, about the size of a regular lynx, but its body was entirely covered with dense small tumors, which were continuously multiplying.

The most exaggerated were several flesh tendrils that penetrated the void, shooting into the bodies of several birds and beasts.

These birds and beasts had all turned into mummies, and the tendrils connecting their bodies were shriveled up, asuring ten-plus ters, with the shortest around seven or eight ters. Their current state resembled deflated straws, displaying a purplish-red color, instinctively discomforting to anyone who saw them.

From the signs, it seed that after evolving, the lynx, due to a drastic body change and lacking energy, headed to its usual hunting water area in an attempt to catch prey and ease its hunger.

Those birds and beasts were drained of energy by the lynx’s evolved abilities.

Unfortunately, that amount of energy was not enough.

Thus, this unfortunate lynx finally fell along its evolutionary path, not reaching the step of cellular destruction like that tumor monster did and dying outright.

This was easy to understand.

The energy consud by enhancent definitely demands much more than that for cellular self-destruction.

After examining the surrounding environnt,

Brian slowly descended from the air and walked toward the lynx corpse on the rock.

In its final monts, the creature was still clenching a silver-black, irregularly shaped plate with a tallic luster in its mouth.

Well, this wasn’t any stone slab.

Brian stepped forward, about to remove the plate.

Suddenly,

A sense of palpitations surged in his heart.

Before Brian could react, a pair of rich Blood Moon specters erged in the depths of his eyes.

Almost simultaneously,

The silver-black plate clenched tightly by the lynx, as if attracted by the Blood Moon specters in Brian’s eyes, also emitted a strange red-black glow.

The red and black glow flickered unevenly, like breathing.

It was like an authentication process.

In an instant,

The light from the plate, as if alive, transford into twisting ropes of light that moved through the air, approaching Brian’s eyes.

Brian watched helplessly as all of this happened.

His condition was very strange at the mont.

His consciousness and body seed to separate, taking on a god-like perspective where he could clearly see the 360-degree view of his surroundings, yet he was unable to control his own body and could only watch as the red and black light was slowly absorbed by his eyes..

The next mont,

Boom~

Brian’s consciousness returned to his body, yet it felt as if planets were exploding in his brain, lost in an endless glow of black and red light, losing his individual consciousness.

He turned into a lifeless statue, his body covered with a scaly keratin layer, with bat wings spanning seven or eight ters wide, standing atop the stone mill, resembling a statue of desolate demon.

..

It’s unknown how much ti passed.

Brian’s body finally showed slight movent.

First the fingers, then the hands, the eyes, the face, and finally the whole body.

He stood there, seemingly looking through ti at everything around him, and finally reached his hands towards his eyes: “I think I just saw the true form of the Blood Moon…”
