366: Chapter 228: Compromise, Mastermind Behind the Attack, Case Clues 366: Chapter 228: Compromise, Mastermind Behind the Attack, Case Clues Brian carried the body bag back to Chief Flory’s squad car just as the chief arrived with a woman in tow.

Seeing the woman behind Chief Flory, Brian felt a stir in his heart.

Could this woman be the one Captain Krist obsessed over, the one who would bring him his reward?

Chief Flory also eyed the bulging body bag in Brian’s hands.

He swallowed hard, sounding unnatural as he said, “Brian, Autopsy Officer, this is Ellie, an Internal Affairs staffer for the CD organization.”

When Brian left, he had been with Captain Krist.

In just a short while, Captain Krist had disappeared and the body bag Brian was carrying had swelled.

Damn, was the efficiency that exaggerated?

Brian paid no attention to Chief Flory’s gaze.

He scrutinized Ellie standing behind Chief Flory.

Ellie was a petite blonde Caucasian, standing only as tall as Brian’s chest, probably just over 4’7″, pretty but not stunning, with an ordinary figure.

With a mask, she could probably pass for a middle schooler.

However, this type was popular with the old white n from the Federation.

Statistics from organizations had shown so.

Every year on adult sites, the most popular content browsed was small-frad won, particularly tiny Asian won if their hands were bound and mouths sealed with clear tape.

In Brian’s past life, this was the “White S Petite Lolita” type.

And these browsers were mostly white n over the age of forty.

They really liked that.

The addition of “Asian” mainly was due to most Asians having faces and actual ages that seed relatively younger, unlike here where so people in their teens looked like they were in their twenties or thirties.

Translated, this ant lots of old white n liked young girls, especially those bound and defenseless.

Ellie’s attire leaned towards that style.

Unfortunately, Brian only liked robust, healthy won of the opposite sex.

He casually nodded at Ellie examining him, “Hello, I’m Brian, an Autopsy Officer for the NW organization.”

“Nice to et you, Mr.

Brian.”

Ellie’s eyes swept over the body bag in Brian’s hand, and she chuckled lightly, “I hope you won’t mind my joining in on the upcoming case investigation.”

“Of course not.”

Brian, carrying the body bag, opened the car’s trunk, tossed the bag inside, and made it a neighbor to another body bag, “Miss Ellie, your timing is impeccable.”

He indicated the two body bags in the trunk, “Because Chief Flory’s vehicle’s trunk is this big, it can’t accommodate a third body bag, not even a small one, and I don’t have any new body bags either.”

Brian spoke in a matter-of-fact tone, causing Ellie to feel a chill.

What did he an even a small one wouldn’t fit?

She pursed her lips nervously, “I’m sorry, Brian, Autopsy Officer, but I don’t quite understand what you an.

Also, I heard from Chief Flory that Captain Krist left with you.

May I ask where he is?

I have sothing to give him.”

“I know, it’s a test tube.

Just give it to .”

Brian reached out his hand towards Ellie.

Ellie looked at Brian, and as their eyes t, there was no evasion.

After a mont’s gaze, as if understanding sothing, Ellie reached down to her waist, pulled out a tal vial no thicker than a normal person’s little finger, and silently handed it to Brian.

“Very good, this is a good start.

I believe our cooperation will be very pleasant.”

Feeling a surge of warmth.

Brian knew that the unassuming vial-shaped reagent was Captain Krist’s obsession, the No.3 Auditory Enhancent Reagent.

This obsession had been easily fulfilled.

Handling the reagent, Brian, unwilling to waste words, closed the car’s trunk and left with the supposedly dead Chief Flory.

Watching their retreating figures, Ellie quickly took out her phone and dialed a number.

In the next mont,

the phone rang from inside the trunk of the chief’s car.

Ellie silently ended the call.

She redialed another number: “Minister, Captain Krist is dead.

Brian ca back and killed him… Not in front of many people… Yes, I understand.”

Putting away her phone.

Ellie followed Brian and the others, her behavior now tinged with restraint.

Chief Flory curiously examined the vial of reagent spinning between Brian’s fingers: “Is this your powerful secret?”

“Yes, it’s an unconventional biotechnology, also an invitation to the upper echelons of a new era.

Without this, and without connections, it’s hard for normal people to truly rise.”

Brian didn’t mind schooling the old chief on so of the inner workings.

Chief Flory was indifferent, rely remarking, “There used to be the Arican Dream; at least young people had a chance.

Now, it seems like a joke.”

Ellie, catching up, added in a low voice, “Chief Flory, this is classified information, only personnel who have been vetted and signed the confidentiality agreent are privileged to know, please keep it confidential, do not spread it.”

Chief Flory shrugged: “I won’t trouble myself.”

He had no descendants, and he was already of age.

To him, it mattered little whether he had the reagent or not.

At the lakeside, the underwater survey team had finished up.

The boats on the water had co ashore.
