It didn’t know what had happened, but that didn’t stop it from baring its ‘ferocious’ teeth towards the empty doorway.
With this movent, the bullet it had been toying with flew up, slipping into Shi San’s mouth by chance.
Shi San continued to bare its teeth, and with a gulp, it actually swallowed the bullet.
It stood there bewildered, frozen for a few seconds before looking helplessly at Susan.
Damn it.
It had eaten the wrong thing.
Witnessing the scene, Susan was both amused and exasperated, and a good deal of her anger dissipated.

The last one was resignation.
