326: Chapter 211 The Item in the Box, Compensation (Supplent) 326: Chapter 211 The Item in the Box, Compensation (Supplent) Shi San was no strong contender, but when it ca to sensing danger, he was quite sharp—almost every alarm he raised panned out with actual substance.

Brian imdiately heightened his vigilance.

After exiting the car, he positioned Susan behind him, took the box from her hands, and raised it towards the man in a sign.

The man, silent, stepped forward with the box, placing it on the hood of the car to open it.

A chill seeped out.

It was a refrigerated box, inside were three green reagents, looking slightly reflective and ominous.

“Three standard-issue Cell Activation Reagents for combat soldiers; effects vary by individual but can enhance human limits to a certain degree.

This is the greatest sincerity from our Biological Black Light Company.

Hand over the goods.”

The man spoke with an indifferent expression, reciting the words as if from a script.

Brian waved the box he held and chuckled, “What’s in here?”

The man glanced at him and said coldly, “The more you know, the more dangerous it becos.”

“Fine, take these reagents with you.

I’ll take this experint box back and soon let a few dia outlets report on your company’s experints on citizens,” Brian’s smile vanished, leaving no trace of amiability.

The next mont.

Whoosh—whoosh—fists whistling, the impact on Brian and Susan’s faces made their hair whip back.

The man’s fist stopped in front of Brian’s face.

Three guns, in tacit agreent, pointed at the man’s heart, throat, and head.

Shi San blinked in surprise.

How did it co to blows so quickly?

But then it quickly snapped to attention, baring its teeth and snarling, aiming, due to its short stature, at the man’s crotch—as if ready to rob him of his lifelong companion should things go awry.

“Co on, why don’t you throw the punch?”

Brian nudged the man’s head with his gun, “Guess if I dare to shoot?”

In the distance, a few gas station employees exchanged helpless looks, then went inside, brought out several roadblocks, and sealed off the nearby road to prevent outside vehicles from entering.

“This isn’t fun.”

The man, unperturbed by the threat of the two humans and a dog, said, “You both have bright futures.

It is the wise choice to gain the friendship of Black Light Biotechnology.”

Brian shook his head again, “We are rely short-sighted folks, so tell us, what’s in the box!”

He had promised Susan that he’d satisfy her curiosity and he intended on keeping that promise.

Mainly because he was curious too, what exactly was in it—better to be prepared for the future.

After a mont’s silence.

The man retracted his fist and spoke towards his collar, “Plan A failed, initiating Plan B.”

Then, refocusing on the two, he continued, “Forget the confidentiality agreent.

The outco won’t be pleasant if you talk.

The thing in the box is called the Potata Band Reflector, but insiders prefer to call it the Brainwasher.”

“Brainwasher?”

Susan twirled her gun gracefully and holster it, “Like sothing out of an evil scientist’s invention, a brainwashing machine?”

The man nodded:

“Sowhat, but also a lot different.

This machine was invented after over thirty years of research on a Mutant with hypnotic abilities.

It emits a specific frequency.

This frequency can carry information, and any living being subjected to this information for extended periods will develop in the expected direction.

However, the information that we can control is still very limited, mostly negative.”

Susan turned up her nose in disgust.

Such a device sounded revolting.

But Brian was lost in thought.

The description of the device sounded very much like a Biological Field or, perhaps, like pheromones carrying information?

He glanced at Shi San.

Shi San returned a gaze, clear and innocent.

It didn’t grasp the aning behind Brian’s look.

Brian: ..

He continued to ask so questions, attempting to glean more information, but the man would not continue.

He indicated that he was just field personnel and knew little else.

These details had been disclosed to him as part of Company’s Plan B.

Hearing that it was Brian and Susan involved, the company suffered headaches—knowing these two would not be easy to deal with, so that was Plan B was formulated.

“Is there a Plan C?” Brian curiously inquired.

The man nodded, “I am Plan C, to kill you or be killed by you.

After that cos negotiations between Biological Black Light Company and the Adams family.”

“What about ?” Brian felt slighted, “Killing , aren’t you afraid of the NW Operation Departnt coming after you?”

“Your greatest value is yourself.

Once a talented individual dies, they’re no longer talented.

You have no friends or family.

So formalities to save face for the departnt will suffice.”

A voice emitted from within the man’s collar.

This voice, Brian found very familiar.

A na imdiately surfaced in his mind: Benjamin.

Benjamin was the Researcher in charge of the previous experints in Alice’s Secret Realm and had t with Brian in a square because of it.

“So it’s Researcher Benjamin,” Brian said with a wry smile towards the man’s collar, “You’re not busy dealing with the two little tentacles behind you, still working so hard.

Hope I don’t get the task to take down the alien that is you one day.”

This damn thing, daring to threaten him!

Brian wouldn’t tolerate that.

As they say, ad insult to injury, kick soone while they’re down—he was quite adept at it.

On the other end of the communication, Benjamin was rattled.

How could this guy possibly know about his situation?

Seeing the other side play dead and stay silent, Brian decided it was ti to wrap things up, handing the silver box to the man before him, “Alright, buddy.

We won’t make it difficult for you.

Take it and get the job done.

Let’s hope we never have to use this thing on people like you..”
