Kairen kicked the house's door close.

Ariyan who ran to him as soon as he entered the house stopped midway after seeing his face.

He looked at Kairen's face, which looked like soone who had just committed murder, and gulped.

Kairen stood there, staring at the kid with the eyes of a serial killer.

Ariyan turned away from Kairen and ran to his mom.

Ignoring Ariyan, Kairen headed straight to his room and jumped on his bed, burying his face on his pillow.
Despite how his face looked, Kairen was not that angry.
'Did I go to father?'
He felt a little bit bad for being too harsh on Serria, but on the other hand, he felt good now that he had finally said all the words in his heart.
He felt refreshed.
'I said those words but...'
To prove that he was innocent...
Where was he supposed to start?
He wasn't so kind of a detective! He didn't know how these things were done!
Did he have to prove that he had no connections with them by digging up his past, or did he have to find out more about that man... or maybe prove that his power had nothing to do with Philomns?
Kairen turned his body and stared at the ceiling.
'How did all of this start?'
The beginning... it was when he had just co to this world that he was summoned to professor Exell's office and was said that he had similar power to a group of terrorists called Philomns.
Philomns.
Apparently, they used a mysterious power in their weapons that was similar to the strange power that Kairen had.
'Their weapons...'
They were weapons used to slaughter people. They had a large range and the impact was bigger than normal weapons in the sa category. There wasn't much known about those weapons even though they were used a lot recently.
And Kairen was said to have a similar power to them.
'I should look into them...'
Kairen decided on where to start.
He had to find out more about those weapons. If he could, he then might be able to find out where this power of his ca from.
'I should look into it as soon as I'm done working for Glenn tomorrow.'
After confirming his plan, he took out his phone and texted his... master.
[Master, how are the results of my exam?]
Kairen was dying of curiosity. He wanted to know if he had managed to pass the exam or not.
He also wanted to start actual training as soon as possible. He wanted to get stronger so that he wouldn't get beaten up again later. Also, he had to train and get to know more about his power if he really wanted to prove his innocence.

After confirming his plan, Kairen turned his head towards the little boy that was peeking at him through the gap in the door while hugging the brown teddy bear that Kairen had bought him toughly.

Ariyan flinched after making eye contact with his uncle and hurriedly ran away.

Kairen stared at the door, unmoving.

He could see Ariyan slowly approaching the door again while peeking inside.

He then ran away again as soon as he saw Kairen looking at him.
'What is he doing?'
Kairen turned his body and buried his face on the pillow again.
'I'm hungry...'
But he was too tired to get up and eat sothing.
'Forget it.'
Kairen ignored his growling stomach and closed his eyes.
Lying down like that, he fell asleep soon, so soon that he didn't realize when Ariyan ca into his room, when he put down his teddy bear and hugged Kairen instead, and when he fell asleep while hugging Kairen's arm.

The first thing that Kairen saw when he went to work the next morning ...
"I told you, you've got to use these devices on missions from now on. You HAVE to! This is a MUST, not a CHOICE!"
...Was team leader Dains running after Alan with his hands full of SMF's special devices and shouting behind him, and Alan moving away from him while cursing.
"I will not use those stupid thingies!"
"Stupid? Do you know what is stupid? The way you inford that you've found that hideout last ti!"
Alan stopped moving around and glared at team leader Dains with a disgruntled face.
"What the heck did you just say?"
The team leader answered him with a rarely seen annoyed and angry face.
"I said, trapping in a ti loop while you turn back the ti to the point that you reach the last ti we've t, then telling about the hideout and then returning back to the present was STUPID! Do you even know how it feels to suddenly get trapped in a ti loop while you were peacefully sipping tea in your office just seconds ago??? No. It was more than STUPID to the point that I can't even find a suitable word to describe it! It is beyond words!"

All of the unit mbers' eyes turned towards Alan.
'He did what?'
Elsie rembered how she saw the team leader exit the elevator two tis that day...
'So it was it?'
He was trapped in a... ti loop?
"What is wrong with that? It was fast. It was safe. It was easy!"
Alan shouted towards the team leader.
"Also, it was not a ti loop, brat! A ti loop is what I trapped you in when you didn't agree to recruit that day when I requested to have a talk!! You rember that as well, don't you???? So don't talk if you don't know how to talk!!!"

The unit mbers kept staring at Alan again, with their eyes widened with shock.
'What did he do?'
They looked at each other as if to make sure that they weren't the only ones who heard those words.
Kairen also looked between the two of them.
'He trapped the team leader... in a ti loop? ...Is that why the team leader released Alan? He was forced to release Alan and then add him to the unit?'
The unit mbers suddenly looked at their team leader with pity.
The team leader's face turned red.
"You dare bring up that ti?? HAAAA!!"
Team leader Dains took a very very deep breath and closed his eyes. He then pushed the devices to Alan.
"Use these, or forgot about your paynt. I won't change my mind even if you trap inside another ti loop again!"
"What?"
Ignoring Alan's curses, team leader Dains turned around and walked to his office.
Alan too left the hall saying that these people were all fools.
"...."
"...."
The hall turned silent after the two of them left. The unit mbers looked at each other in silence, before Asa opened her mouth.
"Poor team leader..."
The others nodded their heads all at once.
"Yeah..."
"Poor him."
"It must've been hard."
Shaking their heads, they all went to do their own tasks.
"Hey, you heard what those Bordkly guys said?"
"Aren't things are going fine between us and them these days?"
"I heard it's because of their prince's interference."
"Oh? I didn't know he had the power to do such a thing."
"I know right? Everyone is surprised."
Kairen glanced at Reyan and Serria, who had been staring at him since he entered the hall, and walked to Glenn's office.
'There is still no answer.'
[Master, how are the results of my exam?]
He looked at the last ssage he had sent to his master before knocking on the door.
There was nothing much for him to do today. He had to check so data again and confirm the things he had found out yesterday by checking other variables relating to monsters, which was not a hard task and didn't take him long to finish. The only new thing was that he found another location with a strange monster generation rate in another neighboring country.
"Um... Glenn..."
After he was done writing his report and presenting it to Glenn, Kairen pointed at the computer and asked.
"Can I use that... for what you said yesterday?"
"...."
Glenn raised his head from the docunts and looked at Kairen with a 'Are you kidding with ' kind of face.
"You've been using that computer however you liked since the first day you ca here, and now you suddenly rember to ask for permission?"
"...Ahem!"
With an awkward cough, Kairen lowered his head.
"Go do whatever you want."
"...."
But Kairen still stood there.
"What about the... team leader?"
"What about him?"
Kairen scratched his cheek.
"You know... I used the data here by myself. Does he also know about that?"
Glenn looked down at the papers again.
"Of course."
"Then, does he also know about this?"
Glenn nodded his head.
"I told him yesterday, so no need to worry."
"...Thank you."
Kairen thanked Glenn and walked back to the computer again.
'I sure am being watched wherever I go.'
With a sigh, Kairen sat on the chair.
'Well... it was Philomns weapons, right?'
And started to look for the information he needed.
