The old woman looked at the dark muzzle of the gun, seemingly at a loss for words, but the tense corners of her mouth naturally relaxed a little.

But she waited for a mont, watching the tall man pull the trigger, yet no bullet was fired.

And at this mont, the tall man was also sowhat bewildered as he looked at the gun in his hand.

He removed the magazine and found that it was already empty, with no bullets left.

"I rember I loaded it full before we set off, and I only fired one shot," the tall man glanced at the gun in his hand, confused, then turned to the short man on his right, "Give your gun."

"Sure." The short man imdiately handed over his gun, casually saying, "Boss, why don’t we sacrifice this old lady and earn so Grace."

Hearing his suggestion, the tall man’s face turned cold, and he knocked the short man on the head with the gun’s handle, "Idiot, are you afraid people won’t know it’s our Church’s doing?"

"But didn’t the Priest say," the short man held his head and rasped, "’K’ is an embodint of the Divine Being himself?"

"The Priest told us not to reveal our identities," the tall man casually said, "He said it should be discovered by others to be believed. Anyway, these smart people have convoluted minds; we just execute the orders and don’t ask too many questions."

"Yes, yes!" The short man nodded quickly, holding his head.

Then the tall man took the short man’s gun, opened the magazine, glanced at the almost full bullets inside, reinserted it, and aid the handgun at the old woman, "Sorry to keep you waiting, old lady; I’ll send you back to death’s embrace now."

The old woman raised her head to look at the tall man in front, raspingly asking, "So you’re not followers of ’K,’ but want to fra Him instead?"

This question made the tall man hesitate for a mont, strangely asking, "How did you know?"

He then shook his head, continuing, "It’s not about framing ’K,’ but rather ’K’ himself is one of the Divine Being’s embodints, did you know?"

"Then who is your Divine Being?" The elderly quickly asked, hands behind the back.

"Of course, it’s the great Grim Reaper," the right-side short man imdiately laughed before the tall man spoke, "Old lady, you’ll soon see Him! Rejoice!"

However, hearing his words, the tall man’s expression grew colder, directly raising the gun, aiming it at the short man, "Say one more word, and I’ll send you to et the Divine Being first."

The short man looked at the dark gun muzzle, gulping down his saliva.

After threatening his companion, the tall man shifted his gaze back to the old woman, "Goodbye, ma’am."

His finger pulled the trigger again, and at this mont, he noticed the old woman’s hand behind her back slightly trembling, suddenly alert, "What are you doing with your hands behind your back?"

"Actually, I wanted to ask earlier," but the old woman didn’t follow up on his words, instead, she asked in confusion, "Is that elderly gentleman beside you with you?"

It was then that the tall man was slightly stunned, bewilderedly raising his head to look to his side.

Beside him, in the short man’s right front, stood an elderly man dressed in simple casual wear with white curly hair, quietly watching them.

"Old man, when did you start standing here?" the short man also looked at the elderly, eyes widening in shock.

"It seems he ca in with us," at that mont, scattered mories struck the tall man’s mind, bewilderedly looking at the elderly, "I rember he even took the gun out of my pocket and removed the bullets."

His gaze gradually turned fearful, standing up straight in confusion, staring at He Ao, trembling, "How could you, how could I..."

"Alright," He Ao calmly looked at him, warmly asking, "Tell , where is your Priest?"

Hearing his words, the tall man’s nervous and agitated emotions gradually cald down. He lowered his head as if answering a teacher’s question slowly, "At 132 York South Street, he said to et him there after the matter is done."

"Very well," He Ao nodded slightly, "You’ve done so much, you ought to find soone to share with, let others see your achievent, how about the reporter from Kest Daily?"

"Of course," the tall man nodded naturally, "We indeed need to share."

The two short n behind him also nodded, and the three turned around, leaving the room together.

anwhile, the old woman observed the whole scene, watching the three figures walk away. After a brief pause, she looked at He Ao, "Is there anything I can help you with, sir?"

"You can bring your hand with the communication bracelet forward," He Ao smiled.

The old woman was slightly taken aback, relaxing her hand, bringing the bracelet forward.

Displayed on it was a string of encoded ssages.

"This is a special code agreed upon with my son," the old woman looked at the bracelet, speaking slowly, "I must let him know what happened to avoid becoming soone else’s tool because of , an old woman, and living the rest of his life in pain."

"You love him very much," He Ao nodded slightly, glancing at the old woman’s body, "Perhaps you can go to Lin City; there might be a cure for your illness there."

Hearing this, the old woman was slightly stunned, then lightly nodded, "I’ll discuss it with my son."

When she looked up again, the elderly was already completely gone, as if everything just now was a re illusion.

"What on earth is..."

She lowered her head, looking at the ’K’ shaped necklace the tall man had placed in her hand, deep in thought.

——

York South Street

Nurous flowers densely packed upon variously leveled display stands, a man in a plain white robe was watering the flowers with a sprayer.

Crack—

The old shop door was slowly pushed open, making a slightly harsh sound.

"Hello, looking to buy flowers?" The man in the white robe continued tending to the flowers with his head down.

"The flowers here are blooming vibrantly," ca a sowhat aged voice from behind.

"It’s just well taken care of," the man in the robe picked up scissors, cautiously trimming the flower branches, "Sir, if you buy flowers and take good care of them, your flowers can bloom just as brightly. Of course, I might have a little secret; if you want to take care like , it’s a bit challenging, but not impossible."

"Nourishing life with death is indeed a fascinating little secret," the aged voice said with interest, "A lot of people must have died here; the escaping resentful spirits can almost fill this shop."

The man’s movents tending to flowers paused slightly, he turned to look behind him.

An elderly man with white curly hair and brown-golden eyes appeared before him.

"Sir, you look familiar," the man in the robe looked at He Ao, smiling, "But I can’t recall where we’ve t."

"Where do you think you might have seen ?" He Ao looked at him with interest.

In the next instant, the robed man’s body vanished from the spot, transforming into a streak of purple light, darting towards the store’s back door.

Simultaneously, the entire flower shop seed to ’co alive,’ with those vibrant flowers swaying, soft petals unfolding.

On each petal was a distorted face; they stretched their features as if bound by so invisible shackles, adherent to the petals, tugging fiercely and painfully.

The surrounding air instantly turned cold, as if in the depths of winter, despite it being near midsumr.

Threads of chilling breath echoed in the void.

The souls imprisoned on the petals also saw the elderly man standing in the shop.

Their pain seems to have found an outlet.

Woooo—

A kind of invisible chanting echoes in the void, resonating deep within the soul.

A phantom skeletal hand erges from the earth, grabbing the Elderly’s ankle.

Then, countless phantom skeletal arms stretch out from the ground, like a swaying flower garden, crawling out from beneath the earth.

Standing in this shop is akin to standing atop a towering mountain of bones. The bones of the deceased continuously erge from the ground, like surging streams, subrging the Elderly in an instant, then quickly piling up, filling the entire florist shop.

Crack—

The glass facade at the edge of the shop emits a sharp sound, showing dense cracks.

At this mont, a purple radiance has already passed through the back door, landing in the alley at the back street.

"Where did this strange strong figure co from? I hid in this remote place, yet still have enemies chasing ? I don’t even rember having a grudge with this guy, but where have I seen him? It doesn’t seem like I’ve seen him in person, could it be in a painting?"

The man in the white robe landed on the ground, glanced back at the florist with so trepidation, vaguely seeing the pile of bones behind the glass facade.

"This place is not suitable to linger, I don’t know what this guy is up to, better find a place to hide for a while." He shook his head and turned towards the depths of the alley.

At that mont, his body suddenly froze.

In front of him, from the shadows at the deepest part of the alley, an Elderly in casual attire slowly stepped out, like a lion slowly erging from the shade, his brown-golden eyes quietly gazing at his Prey.

"Talent Sequences 133: Necromancer, able to train the Spiritual Body and bones of the deceased into controllable Undead," He Ao looked at the man in the white robe, glanced at the shop behind him, "The number of people you’ve killed seems indeed excessive."

"Do you believe if I say I collected the Undead from the battlefield?" The man in the white robe slowly retreated half a step, cautiously watching He Ao, "I’ve never seen you before, we probably don’t have any conflicting interests, why do you keep chasing ."

"Didn’t your superiors at the Church of the Grim Reaper tell you more intelligence?"

He Ao looked at him, raising his eyebrow, "Oh? You also have a Federation Intelligence Bureau identity?"

At that mont, the man’s body froze suddenly; he instinctively wanted to turn his body back into radiance.

But this ti, he hadn’t moved when his cheek was caught by a big hand.

Boom—

Surging flas instantly ignited upon that hand.

"No—No—No—"

The man’s face twisted instantly as he struggled frantically, trying to break free from that hand.

But his face and head were pressed firmly by that hand, no matter how hard he struggled, he couldn’t break free in the slightest.

The raging flas erupted from that hand, enveloping the man’s body.

His body struggled violently, and with his struggle, the flas grew more intense.

After an extrely short mont, the man’s body quieted completely, and the surging flas gradually dissipated, leaving only scattered ashes and a Bone Pearl that lted and reford.

He Ao picked up the Bone Pearl, a chill invaded his fingertips, and under the bright sunlight, the bead reflected a pallid brilliance, carrying a chilling coolness.

This is an Extraordinary Item condensed by the ’Necromancer’ Talent Sequences, sothing that cannot be burned or absorbed by fire.

In a certain sense, it’s the equipnt dropped after killing.

The Priest from the Church of the Grim Reaper who previously pursued Hawke with a badge also decomposed a similar item, and upon retreat, those ’subordinates’ took that trophy.

He Ao casually pocketed the pearl, raised his head, and looked at the shop filled with phantom bones.

After losing its controller, the bones in the shop began to go out of control, desperately impacting the shop’s exterior glass.

Woooo—

A cold, painful howl echoed beneath the Heaven, resonating in soone’s soul.

Even with the blazing sun illuminating the sky, an inescapable cold aura began to spread along this street.

Few pedestrians on the street suddenly covered their clothing, raising their heads, looking around in bewildernt and surprise.

However, their fields of view all ’coincidentally’ avoided the florist’s location.

If the death of such a powerful Necromancer isn’t handled properly, it could easily trigger a minor Undead plague.

He Ao walked again to the front of the florist.

Bang—

A small skull hit the glass, raising its head to look at He Ao.

He Ao looked at the skull, remained silent for a mont, then raised his hand and placed it on the edge of the glass.

Raging flas instantly ignited on his palm, passing through the glass cracks and into the shop.

Like wildfire eting dry grass, an invisible wind seed to be blowing from the void.

The surging flas ignited upon touching the skull, then swiftly spread to the other phantom skulls.

In the blink of an eye, the entire shop was engulfed in flas.

Among the flas, the swaying flowers began to reveal themselves.

"Ahhhh—"

A voice of pain and liberation echoed deep within the void.

The faces imprisoned within the flowers were steeped in calm in this fire, gazing at He Ao, allowing the flas to consu everything around them.

He Ao turned around, took out a cigarette from his pocket, lit it, and walked into the depths of the street, back facing the raging flas behind him.

Rich Soul Power rged into his body.

"Fire!" "Fire!" "Fire!"

Panicked cries echoed on the ground.

Two days ago, the Federation Intelligence Bureau specially sent people to this small city to execute so ’secret mission.’

This was the intelligence he obtained from the mory of that man in the white robe.

The man in the white robe was responsible for providing logistics support to these ’special agents.’
