The dense mist began to contract in an instant, and the massive dark void started to be obscured by the scattered mist.
Lily’s body fell from above the sky, and the drifting earth regained its gravity.
And at the top of the Firmant, the trembling void, the storm tearing the world’s foundation, weakened at this mont.
A purple glow suddenly pierced through the Firmant, heading towards the dark void in the sky.
The dim world echoed with light, but before the purple glow could fall into the void, a green glow descended from the sky, forcefully intercepting the purple glow in mid-air.
The mont the two lights collided, the dim void was torn apart in that instant, and countless cracks of pitch-black void spread from the point of collision.
The speed of these spreading cracks was extrely fast, and in the blink of an eye, they covered the entire sky, almost completely obscuring the dark void.
Countless green and purple glows clashed, intertwined, and resonated along the edges of these cracks, stirring up a roaring storm at the world’s foundation.
A terrifying and twisted suction force spread out from these cracks, and nurous shadows drifting in the air, along with Lily in the sky, were drawn toward the cracks at that mont.
And then, the massive void with outward sprawling limbs contracted violently, shrinking inward at an even faster speed.
Natural mist waterfalls ford between Heaven and Earth, passing through the gaps between those pitch-black cracks, drawing the mist from the ground into the sky.
In an instant, the massive dark void was covered with a thin layer of mist, and the thickness of that mist continued to increase at a rate visible to the naked eye.
The reflections of the cities gradually outlined themselves in the mist in the sky, while the shadows of the cities on the ground, accompanied by the outlines of individual figures, faded at a visible speed.
The green and purple glows battling in the sky crossed each other in an instant, and then the purple glow suddenly flashed past the barrier of the green glow, rushing towards the void increasingly covered by mist.
The green glow accelerated instantaneously, closely following behind.
As the battle between the two glows concluded, the black cracks spreading across the sky also disappeared rapidly at a visible speed.
Like stains on glass being wiped clean, the sky quickly returned to its original transparent clarity.
And those drawn up by the cracks, as the cracks disappeared, slipped down swiftly.
Gravity regenerated on earth, guiding the people floating in the air back to the ground.
Lily also fell from the sky, watching the figures around her descend, raising her hand as if to disturb sothing.
A gentle breeze stirred in the void, catching the figures falling from the sky, slowing their descent.
And above the sky, the green and purple glows penetrated through the thin mist, arriving before the massive void.
The purple glow suddenly lunged forward, about to slip into the gaps between the distorted, hazy limbs.
But at that mont, the green glow seemingly appeared like a flash in front of the purple glow.
Subsequently, a new green glow descended from the sky, landing on the green glow below, and the two lights fused, with the surging green glow spreading from all sides, enveloping the purple glow.
Countless pitch-black ti-space cracks unfolded once again in an instant, then slowly converged.
The purple glow was caught off guard, and after a very brief pause, was thoroughly obliterated by the green glow.
And after obliterating the purple glow, the green glow wasted no ti in turning around and plunged into the massive void in the sky, passing through the gaps between the limbs, and into the deepest part of the limbs.
The segnts of twisted, invisible limbs were rapidly contracting, almost entirely disappearing into the void in an instant.
At that mont, where the purple glow was obliterated, faint light points flickered and erged, regrouping into a faint purple glow.
This glow was much weaker than before, almost imperceptible without careful observation, but the glow still appeared like a flash in front of the void, piercing into those countless twisted, formless limbs.
The next mont, countless twisted limbs were wholly absorbed into the void, and a dense mist covered the sky.
The tearing and storming vibrations in the void seed to cease at this mont, and the Divine Being battle beyond the Firmant also seed to conclude at this mont.
Phantasms fell from the Firmant, descending back between the cities, back onto the earth, and the mist covering the entire city seed to disappear completely at this mont.
Layer upon layer of city Illusions rapidly dimd and dissipated.
Lily landed on the ground, quietly watching the thick mist in the sky as so invisible object seed to wriggle above the mist but soon receded, vanishing into the mist.
She turned her gaze toward her surroundings.
As the shadow of the city disappeared in this field, between Heaven and Earth remained a solitary, old building Illusion.
Future Building.
Lily lifted her head, following the direction of the Illusion, looking towards the corresponding position in the sky.
That Future Building embedded in the mist was also faintly outlined.
However, under Lily’s gaze, that skyscraper suspended upside down in the sky was slowly fading in the wriggling mist at a rate visible to the naked eye.
She lowered her head, looking ahead.
In her field of view, the edifice standing on the earth, like an Illusion, was rapidly solidifying at the sa speed.
Eventually, the edifice on the ground fully solidified, while the outline suspended in the sky thoroughly dematerialized, disappearing, with the massive mist above the Firmant wriggling, restoring its initial appearance.
Boom——
A gentle breeze blew over the erald ’grass’ on the field, and at the mont the skyscraper completely solidified on the ground, its tightly closed doors suddenly opened.
——
Vilensis
Denon’s body settled once more atop the tall building, and he lifted his head, watching the mist around him dissipate as if it had never existed.
He lifted his head, finding no reflection above, nor any Illusion of a void.
He rubbed his forehead, feeling as if he had just woken from a bizarre Dream, still not fully recovered from the chaotic Dream.
And beneath him, on the streets, one by one, blurred figures rose from the ground, looking around in bewildernt.
Denon lifted his head, looking ahead, towards the end of the city.
A ray of light was erging from the edge of the city, piercing through the darkness, illuminating the city and beings beneath the horizon.
Dawn.
He retracted his gaze, looking ahead, where the skyscraper standing in the city’s center still seed to stand, rely transford into so quasi-real Illusion:
Future Building.
——
Future Building
Lily crossed the silent air, walking in the narrow corridor.
Outside the window was a faint mist, and beyond the mist was an endless field.
Not knowing how long she walked, she finally looked up, gazing forward.
A girl in a white dress stood quietly by the window, looking at the field outside.
And as Lily approached, the girl seed to hear the footsteps.
She turned her head excitedly, looking in Lily’s direction.
At the mont she saw Lily’s face, she was slightly taken aback.
Then, her gaze lifted, passing by Lily, looking beyond her.
But reflected in her eyes was only an empty, narrow corridor.
Her expression paused slightly, her eyes lowered.
Lily quietly gazed at the girl in the white dress, slightly opening her mouth, but not knowing what to say for a mont.
But at that mont, she heard the girl in the white dress quietly breaking the eerie silence, "Did he leave?"
Hearing this question, Lily paused slightly, finally, she gently nodded, "Yes."
Upon hearing her answer, the girl in the white dress did not ask further questions, she rely stood there quietly, slowly turning around to look out the window again.
Lily walked up to her side, slightly opened her mouth, trying to say sothing.
Dong—
Just then, a slight noise ca from behind her.
It seed to be from one of the rooms behind her.
Lily instinctively turned her head, looking back.
Ding ding dong dong—
Just then, a dense series of sounds gradually erged from the room behind them.
Followed by the sound of soone exclaiming lightly.
In that mont, the little girl in the white dress suddenly realized sothing, she imdiately turned and rushed into the corridor behind her.
In an instant, she reached Room 1821.
At this mont, a slight noise also ca from behind this door.
The girl in the white dress reached out her hand and directly pushed open the door.
At this mont, Lily also followed her action, arriving behind her.
She raised her head, following the open door with her eyes, looking at the scene inside.
At this mont, two figures embracing inside the room were sowhat confused, coming back to their senses, looking around.
Lily looked at this scene in disbelief.
Could it be, there really is a third way?
Just then, the woman holding the doll in her arms turned her gaze, seeing the girl in the white dress standing at the door, she was taken aback, rubbed her eyes, then said in surprise, "Sui? Aren’t you in Xiluo City? How did you get here?"
The girl in the white dress just quietly gazed at this scene, then she suddenly rushed forward, dashed into the room, reached out and hugged the man and woman embracing in the room, her head lowered, her nose gently twitching.
"Hey, what’s wrong with you, girl?" The woman was sowhat baffled by this embrace, but she quickly reached out her hand to hug the girl in the white dress.
The man beside them also reached out his hand, also hugging the girl in the white dress, smiling, "Alright, alright, it’s just as well, we were planning to go ho soon, it’s just right to take you around Vilensis for a bit the next couple of days."
"Indeed, just in ti to play here for a few days," as she spoke, the woman seed to rember sothing, raising her hand, handing the brand-new doll in her hand to the girl in the white dress, "Look, this is the doll we bought for you, you really wanted this doll when you ca here last year, do you like it?"
The girl in the white dress released her grip on her parents, lowering her head, looking at the doll handed over by the woman.
She twitched her nose, reached out to take the doll, hugging it in her arms, she raised her head, crystalline mist filling her eyes, she hugged the doll tightly, nodding slightly, "I like it."
Then as if she rembered sothing, holding the doll, she took two steps back, "Mom and Dad, I have sothing to do, I’ll head out first."
"Hey, you don’t know this place," the woman raised her hand, instinctively said, "Be careful, don’t run around!"
But before she could finish speaking, the little girl had disappeared from the room.
Standing at the doorway, Lily hadn’t even reacted.
She glanced at the sowhat bewildered couple in the room, gave them an embarrassed smile, lifted her feet, and caught up with the pace of the girl in the white dress.
Very quickly, they arrived at Room 1812.
There was a slight sound coming from the room, like the sound of moving a table.
The girl in the white dress grasped the door handle, turned it, and pushed the door open.
Inside the room, there was a similar middle-aged couple, at the mont they seed to have just gotten up from the floor, the square-faced husband was placing a box of cookies on the table, the frail wife was adjusting the bracelet in her hand.
"The bracelet seems to be out of battery," the woman murmured softly, lowering her head, "Can’t make a call."
"Charge it first," the man pulled out a charger from beside him, "Call as soon as it’s on, otherwise Loren will get worried."
"Alright." The woman nodded.
Just then, she seed to sense sothing, lifted her head, looked towards the door, seeing the girl in the white dress and Lily who had pushed the door open, "Who are you?"
The girl in the white dress did not answer, but instead directly walked into the room.
She reached out and hugged the frail woman.
The woman slightly stunned, she gazed at the girl in the white dress in front of her, but still reached out her hand, gently hugging the girl.
The whole room was silent for a mont, after a brief pause, the girl in the white dress released her hand, she lifted her head, looking at the bewildered woman, and the equally bewildered man beside her.
"Uncle, Aunt," she softly said, "I’m Loren’s friend,"
She looked at the woman’s puzzled eyes, twitching her nose slightly, softly said, "Loren has gone far, far away, before he left, he asked to take care of you two,"
The woman’s body stiffened slightly.
The girl in the white dress paused for a mont, she lifted her head, looking at the woman in front of her, hesitantly said, "Could you treat as your daughter?"
The frail woman blankly looked at the little girl in front of her, after a brief pause, she stretched out her hand, once again hugging the girl in the white dress in front of her, crystalline liquid filled her eyes, she softly smiled, "Sure, you look like a good kid."
The girl in the white dress also once again reached out her hand, hugging the woman in front of her.
After a brief pause, they released their hands.
The girl in the white dress turned around, looking at the man beside her.
The two also hugged lightly.
Then, the girl in the white dress released her hand, stepping backwards, "Uncle, Aunt, you two rest for now, I’ll co find you later."
Saying that, she slowly backed out of the doorway, gently closing the door.
Inside the room, there seed to be light sobbing, and the busy signal from dialing a phone.
The girl in the white dress slightly lifted her head, wiping away the tears on her cheeks.
"Why did you..." Lily looked at the girl in front of her sowhat confused.
"When he took away from Xiluo City," the girl lowered her head, softly began to say, "He said he would help find my parents."
