Capítulo 1663: Chapter 1663: The Chairman and the Archbishop

At this mont, in front of He Ao, the waiter had already served the dish.

Sui was sitting at the dining table, eating small bites.

Both I and Ao picked up our forks, dining while reminiscing about everything we had just heard and felt, including everyone’s psychological activities.

From the psychological activities of the people around, it seed that the woman nad Mici indeed ‘slept’ with many people.

From the tone of the waiter initially, one could tell that she even hinted to the young man that Mici had relationships with many people; her words carried a hint of sympathy although the young man didn’t realize it.

However, the young man actually didn’t lose anything. From his psychological activities, it appeared that Mici didn’t trick anything out of him; instead, she gave him a few transcendent experiences.

Of course, the body’s energy was sowhat depleted.

Beauty, allure, ‘open’ relationships.

The characteristics Mici showed reminded He Ao of an ‘old friend’ organization of his.

Witch Sect.

So, the Witch Sect is inquiring about the news of ‘K’?

Why choose Vilensis, and why choose a restaurant controlled by Bounty Hunters?

Is it only the Witch Sect believers in Willens who are asking, or is it the entire northeast region or even the entire Federation’s Witch Sect making inquiries?

Buzz——

As he was thinking, He Ao’s bracelet slightly vibrated.

——

Dusk Wilderness

“You have so luck,” said Denon, who was leading He Ao along the endless wilderness, “The council president decided to et you, but she didn’t agree to your request to et the Archbishop, whether you can persuade her depends on yourself.”

“Can you tell sothing about the council president’s character and information?” He Ao asked him directly.

“Are you asking to betray the council president so you can find a way to persuade her later?” Denon smiled, looking at He Ao.

“You ntioned that I could ask you about things within your capability.” He Ao replied casually.

“I don’t know much about the council president’s story,” Denon said with a smile, “I only know she is the founder of the association, a being who has lived since the Original Federation era until now, one of the oldest existences in the Federation. But if you insist I say sothing, I think she is quite gentle and easy to talk to, provided you can give reasons that support your request.”

“Original Federation era?” Upon hearing this term, He Ao was slightly taken aback. “Is she that ancient? Doesn’t that an she would know many secrets from before the Federation period?”

“That I don’t know. The council president has never told us anything, and most of the ti, she is asleep in the association’s secret room, only occasionally coming out,” Denon said slowly, “We actually rarely have contact with her, and she seldom communicates with us. If you really want to know any secrets from the Original Federation era, you will have to ask her yourself.”

While speaking, the group had already arrived on a desolate slope.

The previously endless wilderness appeared interrupted here, with six giant pillars descending from the firmant reflecting in everyone’s eyes.

Misty fog covered the surroundings of the pillars, obstructing the field of view within them.

“That is the council president.”

Denon raised his head, looking at the lean figure standing in front of the giant stone pillar, and said slowly.

He Ao lifted his gaze, following Denon’s sight, looking ahead.

In front of the giant stone pillar, a figure dressed in business casual, slender in size, with a high ponytail and simple gray won’s suit, stood there.

The figure was at least a few kiloters away from where they were standing now, but with He Ao’s vision, that figure appeared so small.

Just by glancing over, he nearly missed seeing this silhouette.

Yet it was so ‘noticeable’ that once He Ao discovered her existence, he could no longer avert his gaze.

As if that miniature figure was the very core of the world, the ruler of heaven and earth.

“Now is your ti to communicate; I won’t intrude,” Denon glanced at He Ao, slightly shifting to the side, smiling at He Ao, “If you have any needs, feel free to consult with the council president.”

“Alright.” He Ao nodded slightly, he lifted his feet, heading towards the slender woman’s back.

And the mont he took a step, his vision slightly paused, as the entire world seed to fold at this instant along with his movent.

The wilderness, firmant, surrounding rocks, all seed to turn into a compressed painting, as with He Ao’s step forward, the distance of several kiloters was crossed in an instant.

This was not a ‘choice’ He Ao consciously made.

Using movent techniques, he could achieve similar effects, but this ti, it wasn’t that he was ‘speeding up,’ rather the surrounding wilderness seed to ‘actively’ compress before him from the sky.

It’s as if he activated so teleportation skill within a ga, compressing the kiloters distance into a single step, instantly achieving spatial transfer.

The previously exceptionally distant and tiny figure was now standing right in front of him.

And those majestic giant pillars also seed to magnify instantly, standing imposingly right before him.

“Big guy, did we teleport? How did we suddenly get from there to here?” Sitting on He Ao’s shoulder, grabbing his clothes, a little head nervously looked around.

“Just about.” He Ao softly responded as he ca back to his senses from this teleportation-like spatial crossing, walking forward, standing beside the ponytailed slender woman in the gray suit.

He lifted his head, gazing at the few enormous pillars shrouded in mist in front of him, and asked slowly, “Is the Archbishop here?”

“Yes,” a gentle and calm voice sounded in his ear, as refreshing as a breeze flitting through green leaves in the forest, brushing over He Ao’s soul, “But he carries strong pollution; I don’t recomnd you see him.”

While speaking, the woman slowly turned around, looking at He Ao.

She wasn’t beautiful, appearing quite ordinary, but her brows were like swords, matched with her high ponytail, carrying a certain kind of soft heroism.

Upon seeing He Ao, the woman’s gaze also shifted upwards, glancing at Vestara’s Spear on his back.

“Do you recognize this spear?” He Ao asked curiously as he noticed her gaze.

“An old friend used to like using this gun,” the woman remarked with a sigh, her gaze sweeping across the entire wasteland, looking toward the horizon, “Over there is a massive stump of a World Tree. We previously dug into the tree’s heart and took a segnt, which we gave to him. He crafted this gun.”

He Ao vaguely understood why this director was willing to see him.

Following the woman’s gaze, he looked forward and, indistinctly, seed to see that enormous stump that reached the sky.

“This space is so vast,” He Ao marveled, “It feels much larger than the entire northeastern region of the Federation.”

“Indeed, it is vast,” the woman also remarked softly, her gaze sweeping around, “We once speculated that this might have been more than one world, but a multiverse penetrated by the World Tree. Later, the world shattered, and all the fragnts of these worlds fused together to form this enormous Dusk World.”

“This is a world?” He Ao was slightly stunned and asked in a low voice, “Isn’t this an ‘anomaly’? Aren’t anomalies supposed to be created out of thin air?”

“Yes,” the woman sighed softly, “So anomalies are created out of thin air, while others have always existed, like this Dusk Wilderness.”

She raised her gaze, looking at the giant pillar shrouded in mist, “It’s surprising the Anomaly Sect found a way to stabilize entry and exit, making this their headquarters base.”

She turned her head to look at He Ao, smiling and extending her hand, “Allow to introduce myself, I’m Estella.”

“Loren.” He Ao reached out his hand and shook hands with the woman before him.

“Sui!” Sui, sitting on He Ao’s shoulder, also extended her hand, “Sister, your na sounds so beautiful.”

“Thank you,” Estella reached out, shook hands with Sui, and smiled, “My parents also thought my na sounded nice.”

“What does it an?” Sui scratched her head, “I feel like I haven’t learned this word.”

“It’s in the language of the Era of the Great Cataclysm,” Estella chuckled, “It ans star, or sky stone.”

“This world, from the start, has been in a state of destruction?” He Ao released her hand, gazing at the boundless wilderness.

“That’s how it was when we discovered it,” Estella said with a smile.

“So,” He Ao withdrew his gaze and curiously touched the Vestara’s Spear on his back, “the original owner of this gun was…?”

“Dead,” Estella calmly gazed at He Ao and said gently, “He was a martial artist like you.”

Her tone paused slightly, “I rember, the martial arts inheritance of the Federation was severed many years ago, wasn’t it?”

The wind fell silent in that instant.

“I don’t know about that,” He Ao’s expression did not change, he shook his head slightly, and said slowly, “I just use any thod I can to beco stronger.”

Estella gazed at him quietly, her expression unchanged, only sighed lightly, “I’ve never seen a thod that can elevate soone from an ordinary person to a B-level martial artist in just a few days, but you should know so of the rules of the Extraordinary World?”

“All grace cos with a price,” He Ao replied calmly.

Estella looked at He Ao for a mont, then said nothing more, only sighed lightly, “So you want to see Vestan?”

“Yes,” He Ao nodded without hesitation, “I have so questions I want to ask him.”

“Vestan’s condition is much worse than mine,” Estella looked at He Ao, “He is currently in a mythological state, do you know what it ans to directly face an Angel’s mythological state?”

“Would it be contamination?” He Ao ‘tentatively’ asked.

“You would be contaminated in an instant, turning into a twisted monster, or explode on the spot, scattering into a ss of flesh and blood,” Estella said slowly, “Even so, do you still want to see him?”

“So, could the director help create a barrier to isolate the contamination?” He Ao asked without hesitation.

Hearing this, Estella was slightly stunned, then laughed softly, “You sure don’t hesitate to make requests, do you?”

Her tone paused slightly, then she chuckled softly, “If you can give a convincing reason, I can arrange for you to et him—the reason you just gave isn’t enough to convince .”

He Ao quietly gazed at Estella, and after a brief mont of thought, he slowly said, “I want to know why he wants to destroy the Future Building, and where the anomaly entrance to the Future Building is.”

“Can you guarantee that you can get useful information from him?” Estella asked with interest.

“No,” He Ao shook his head, “but I have to try.”

“Interesting little fellow.” Estella looked up, smiling lightly.

She raised her hand slightly, her slender palm gliding through the sky.

The mist shrouding the massive stone pillars slowly dissipated at this mont, and simultaneously, an invisible barrier unfurled before He Ao, forming a hemispherical structure that encompassed both Estella and He Ao.

He Ao quietly observed the changing scenery around them.

He didn’t sense any strong energy fluctuations; these special mists and barriers seed to be like gateways that had always existed here, opening and closing naturally.

It appeared that Estella created them directly with her abilities.

As the dense mist slowly dissipated, a hazy figure gradually erged between the six colossal stone pillars.

It was like a huge cloud floating in the air, towering several hundred ters high, with an upper body shaped like a human, a human-like head with eyes flashing green light, while the lower body was pure mist.

Narrow, dense green threads of light extended from its body, entwining around it.

It resembled a mountain trapped in a cage, and the instant its massive form appeared, dense green light spread over the stone pillars, connecting them to form a wide cage.

Boom, boom, boom—

Like the explosion of fireworks, the rumbling sound, accompanied by the flashing green light, exploded upon the firmant, dimming even the eternally dusk-lit blood-red sky for a mont.

The invisible barrier before He Ao flickered violently, as if enduring so invisible yet overwhelming impact from the world’s depths.

He Ao looked up at the giant figure imprisoned within the stone pillars.

“Estella, have you finally run out of patience to bury your head in the sand, willing to face the impending revival of the anomaly, ready to talk with ?”

As the smoke dissipated, a thunderous voice echoed beneath the blood-colored firmant.

“You do indeed need a talk,” Estella replied calmly, slightly stepping aside to reveal He Ao, “But not with .”
