"No, Chen, no."

The man with a mustache raised his head, looked across the street, and observed the torrential rain connecting heaven and earth, the sudden downpour drenching his cheeks.

Between the convenience store and the bakery, a dense fog was rapidly spreading outwards along the wall.

Seeing this, Chen also realized what was happening and pressed the intercom button without hesitation, shouting loudly, "Evacuate the crowd! Imdiately!"

At this mont, the man with a mustache had already pulled out his walkie-talkie, but when he pressed the intercom button, there was only the sound of intense static inside.

The surging mist had already swept past them, covering the entire street, then quickly spread outwards towards the city.

The torrential rain in the sky beca even more fierce.

A strange power was surging within the fog, and in the depths of the dense mist, a narrow alley gradually beca visible.

Abnormal power spread.

Chen looked up at the surrounding buildings and found that they were rapidly growing taller.

Inside and outside the isolation line, fog covered the block, and for a mont, the crowd panicked; so were at a loss, so rushed to escape, while others wandered into the street amidst the fog.

At this mont, a small illusion suddenly burst out from behind, passed through the fog, and rushed towards the narrow alley within the mist.

As she progressed, fine cracks spread across her ceramic-glossy skin.

Chen turned his gaze, "It’s that puppet!"

He imdiately attempted to stop the puppet, but it was already too late.

The puppet’s body had already slipped into the alley of mist.

Welcoming Classroom

Finn quickly hung the plastic flags on the wall, then turned his head to look out the window, only seeing the dark sky.

"Hey," he said, looking at the child beside him, "why did it suddenly beco dark outside?"

"I don’t know," the child beside him scratched his head, hanging the small flag in his hand on the wall, "The sky seems to have always beco dark this quickly, right?"

"Really?" Finn also looked doubtfully out of the window, then glanced down at the rubber band in his hand, withdrawing his gaze to pick up another flag.

In the process, he turned to glance around, seeing people carrying food into the classroom, said with so puzzlent, "Why hasn’t the teacher co in yet? All the kids helping in the kitchen have co back."

"Should be picking up the new kid?" The child next to him speculated, turning his head curiously to look at Finn, "Finn, what do you think the new kid should look like? Boy or girl?"

"I don’t know," Finn thought for a mont, then said slowly, "Maybe a girl?!"

"Eh? Why?!" The child beside him expressed so confusion.

"I can’t really explain," Finn hung the colorful flags beside the previous ones, "Maybe just a gut feeling?"

"Just say you’re guessing," the child next to him laughed, reaching out to hang another flag, "We’ll see soon if you guessed right."

······

Outside the classroom, at the building’s entrance, the torrential rain poured down from the highest point in the sky, becoming fiercer and more violent, even the howling wind turned sharp.

Several teachers in gray uniforms stood at the corridor’s door, looking around and gazing at the outside plaza.

A small girl in a white dress slowly erged from the depths of the plaza, step by step, heading towards the classroom’s location, and soon she reached the main building’s entrance.

When the teachers saw the small girl, they imdiately straightened up and quickly greeted her.

They took the girl’s hand warmly and laughed, "Is it Sui? Everyone’s been waiting for you. Let’s go inside quickly. Tonight all the other kids have prepared a splendid welcoming party for you."

The small girl in a white dress raised her head, the faceless cheek glanced at the ash-composed teachers around, then lowered her head again, letting the teachers lead her by the hand, walking up the steps, into the corridor.

The rain in the sky was whispering down, pattering on the ground.

Everything seed to accelerate, yet it also seed like it hadn’t.

At the end of the corridor, the classroom was brightly lit, and vaguely through the windows, the children’s reflections on the window could be seen.

Inner Space

He Ao’s spear suddenly exerted force, slicing open the hand reaching for him.

Intense flas gushed out of the torn wound.

At the sa ti, He Ao leaped up, raised his head, and looked at the giant figure blocking his path.

It was a big child, standing tall at about seventy ters. He directly tore half of the entire small building, allowing He Ao to barely see his body.

This was one of the huge shadows standing outside.

The child was not dead on the surface side, but the elderly did not know what thod was used to drive this child to block He Ao.

He Ao’s gaze went past the child’s side, looking at the child’s rear.

The Old Director had already landed on the ground, holding a Crystal Ball, rapidly fleeing towards the faraway mountains.

Although the child’s shadow was obstructing just now, he actually only had a ten-second lead over He Ao.

There’s still ti to catch up.

He Ao calculated the distance between himself and the Old Director, then raised his head.

At this mont, a giant shadow descended from the sky, clapping towards his head.

That was the other hand of the giant figure.

At the sa ti, the hand just cut by He Ao also clapped upwards.

Surging waves of fire generated from both hands.

"Go after him!" He Ao shouted, raising his spear, charging towards the fiery hands in the sky.

"Alright!"

Reid had already reached the edge of this figure, and while He Ao attracted the figure’s attention, he glanced at the ground below, leapt down the two stages, and chased toward the fleeing Old Director.

At this mont, He Ao was also staring up at the descending hand from the sky.

Just before colliding with the fiery hand, he directly slanted into the figure’s chest, pressed down the spear, bounced his body, squeezed through the gap between the hand and body, and landed above the hand.

At this instant, he didn’t pause but instead leaped forcefully, directly jumping towards the figure’s neck.

The child that the figure corresponded to did not die on the surface side, so even if the body was driven, it lacked agility, appeared more wooden, like a robot.

In the blink of an eye, He Ao landed at the figure’s neck, and thrust his spear into the figure’s neck.

After two previous battles with similar figures, he realized that the inside of these figures had no flesh or bones, just a layer of ash-condensed skin, and the neck was one of its fragile weaknesses.

After piercing the neck, his actions did not stop but stepped on the figure’s collarbone, held the spear, and forcefully pushed forward, tearing open a huge wound on the figure’s neck.

Billowing smoke and ashes spewed out from this wound, obscuring He Ao’s field of view.

He Ao was about to continue to pull open the wound when a tongue of fire, hidden within the ashes, suddenly burst out and rushed toward his location.

He Ao imdiately sidestepped, dodging the tongue of fla, and in the next mont, a surging wave of fire gushed out from the wound, engulfing his body.

At the sa ti, the torn wound began to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye.

The figure’s fla-covered hand stretched high, slapping toward He Ao’s body.

The roaring flas, carrying scorching heat, burned He Ao’s cheeks and body.

He glanced at the already opened wound, leaped out abruptly, covered his clothes with his divine sense, and directly faced the surging flas, further opening the wound on his neck.

The divine sense could block the flas but couldn’t isolate the heat, the terrifying heat scorching his body, almost roasting his physical form dry in an instant.

But at this mont, the long spear in his hand had already created a large gash on the neck of the figure.

Then He Ao suddenly jumped down.

The surging flas instantly gushed from that wound, tearing through the giant silhouette’s body and neck, causing the massive form to collapse, the raging flas engulfing his body, turning the entire body into surging ashes.

The turbulent waves of fire swept through the void, pushing He Ao’s body forward.

The ’Old Director’ had already reappeared in his field of view.

His body rolled to the ground, holding the spear, and charged forward.

Reid was not too far in front of him, and both could already see the Old Director’s silhouette.

The Old Director’s speed wasn’t slow, approximately at the C-level, but Reid’s burst of speed was vaguely catching up with the Old Director, even seeming to close the distance, possibly using so transcendent prop.

Just then, a giant shadow suddenly descended from heaven, landing in front of the two.

Boom——

It was a childlike silhouette about fifty ters tall, interwoven with flas.

Another one.

He Ao frowned.

Reid sidestepped, passing directly through the shadow beneath.

The silhouette turned around, preparing to pursue, but at that mont, He Ao had already reached in front of the silhouette.

He Ao leaped up directly, blocking the shadow’s steps toward Reid.

Boom——

But before he could react, a new silhouette descended from heaven, blocking Reid’s path.

Boom boom boom——

Following that, the second, third, fourth, fifth···

More than twenty silhouettes criss-crossed like towering city walls, densely blocking the two from the front.

Rumble——

Amidst the violent rumbling, a figure over a hundred ters tall appeared at the back of the silhouettes, lowering its head like a mountain, gazing at the two.

The surging flas erged between these silhouettes, forming a dense wall of fire, flowing with brilliance, covering the two below.

The sky further dimd, and on the edge of the world, at the end of the clouds and mist, the vague shadows of buildings faintly appeared.

The entire space seed to be trembling at this mont.

The ’Old Director’ clutched the crystal ball tightly, not looking back at He Ao and Reid, who were blocked behind, but continued to run with all his might toward the distant mountain.

The distance between him and He Ao was growing larger.

——

In the outer space

Finn held a simply wrapped milk candy, standing by the window seat, looking at the night outside.

The misty rain unfolded behind the high-voltage lines, and under that rain curtain, in the dense fog, cities and buildings slowly revealed themselves.

The world, like a backdrop, now showed a certain real contour.

"Could you see tall buildings outside before?" Finn turned his head, looking at the small girl sitting beside him.

"Were there?" The little girl curiously lay by the bedside, looking at the buildings outside, "It seems it was always like that, haven’t you seen those buildings before?"

She looked at the buildings erging in the mist, the looming clouds and raindrops also seed to have spread among the buildings, "When I ca in, those buildings seed to have always been there."

"Seems like it," Finn scratched his head in confusion, recalling his mory, "those buildings seem to have always been there."

"Quick, sit down, the teacher’s coming!" At this mont, a little boy on the other side suddenly tugged at Finn’s clothes, quickly shouting.

Finn hurriedly sat down, sat upright, looking toward the podium.

A silhouette of an Ash Man, clad in a gray uniform, walked into the classroom, the firework-ford eyes smiled at the children in the classroom, "Children, the welco party is starting; our new classmate is about to arrive, a beautiful little girl."

"Wow~"

The classroom suddenly erupted in enthusiastic exclamations.

"Teacher, teacher, is she tall?" A chubby little boy in the back row imdiately raised his hand, loudly asking.

"You’ll see her in a mont, she’s coming in," the teacher let out a gentle laugh, turning her gaze outside the door, "let’s welco our new classmate to et everyone!"

Once again, joyous cheers echoed throughout the classroom.

The children all stood up, poking their heads out, looking toward the door, seemingly eager to see what the new classmate looked like.

Only Finn sat among this bustling crowd, feeling sowhat at a loss.

For so reason, a vague sense of unease lood in his heart, growing more intense.

As ti passed by second by second, the feeling of unease beca more oppressive.

He raised his head, looking toward the direction of the teacher’s door, looking outside.

From his position, he could just see the oncoming teachers outside and glimpses of the white dress hem.

His gaze suddenly froze.

But at the mont he saw the white dress hem, the owner of that dress suddenly stopped and did not move forward.

"What’s wrong?" The teacher outside the door turned her head, looking at the little girl in white beside her, "You’ll et new friends soon~"

"Let’s hurry," another teacher seed a bit anxious, urging, "you’ll soon join a new family."

But the little girl in the white dress only raised her head, gazing at the two teachers beside her.

Her originally smooth, pale face began to slowly wriggle, revealing distinct facial features.

It was the delicate and adorable look of a young girl.
