The 13th floor is all apartnts, corridors crisscrossing between the buildings.
He Ao slowly walked forward along the apartnt corridor, one tightly closed door after another retreated by his side, swaying as if pedestrians in a dream passed by him.
He had just taken a quick glance, and it seed there were no unreasonable energy fluctuations on this floor.
Is there nothing abnormal here? Is the ’27th floor’ sowhere else?
He gently supported his chin, it seed like professional matters needed professional people.
At this mont, a series of footsteps sounded behind him.
A gang leader, with his head lowered, erged from the corridor behind him, ready to sigh, but when he lifted his head, he caught sight of He Ao’s back.
He paused slightly, looked behind, and waved his hand.
A few more gang mbers approached, slowly drew their guns from their pockets, and moved forward.
anwhile, He Ao in front had already dialed Reid’s number. Before Reid could speak, he asked directly, "Have you found anything abnormal at the West District Mont Street Three-in-One Building?"
"Let check," Reid responded quickly, "No records, is there sothing going on?"
"I seem to have found a potentially abnormal area, but I’m not sure." He Ao said slowly.
As he spoke, he told Reid about the ’missing case’ and ’urban legend’ he’d ’heard.’
While talking, he slowly moved forward, and at so point, both sides of the corridor seed to fall completely silent.
"According to what you said, there’s indeed a possibility of so kind of abnormal space in that building," Reid said slowly, "But that can’t be confird, as much information and legends themselves carry elents of chance, abnormalities may hide among them, but that doesn’t an there’s really an anomaly."
He paused for a mont and continued, "I’ll arrange for soone to check over there. By the way, where did you hear these things? How’s your injury?"
"Oh," He Ao replied casually, "I’m on the 13th floor of this building."
There was a mont of silence on the other end of the phone.
Then, a slightly hoarse voice slowly ca through, "I rember that’s the Black Wolf Gang’s headquarters, isn’t it?"
"Yeah," He Ao slowed his pace, listening to the faint footsteps behind him, "But it’s pretty safe here, the Black Wolf Gang people are quite hospitable."
There was another obvious silence on the other end of the phone.
"So do you have any props that can detect anomalies?" He Ao continued to ask.
"No," Reid sighed, "If it is an anomaly existing in the real world, after it ends or during frequent openings, we can roughly detect disturbances, but not all real anomalies are detectable, and
"As for anomalies in otherworldly spaces, their opening and closing are instantaneous, it is impossible to detect, you can only strictly follow the entrance and exit rules, controlling yourself not to fall in."
He continued, "Loren, every abnormality in otherworldly space is extrely dangerous, it’s not like real-world anomalies where there might be a chance to escape. Regardless of whether there’s an anomaly in that building, I suggest you leave—there—"
The communication signal seed to be affected by sothing, dragging Reid’s words into stutters.
"Loren, want to play?"
And at this mont, a soft call ca from behind He Ao, the call was so unfamiliar yet familiar.
As if it was often heard during his childhood, it was the call of his ’friends’ from childhood.
He Ao lifted his head, looking towards the front of the apartnt.
On either side of the corridor, the apartnts were like hotel rooms, door facing door.
At this mont, in front of him, two adjacent apartnts had the room number 1357.
He stepped forward, passing by the two 1357s.
At this mont, the footsteps behind him seed to beco sowhat urgent.
As if people behind him also heard that invisible call.
He Ao raised his head, looking forward, the old wall paint had cracked into large gaps, dark sand trickling from the wall cracks.
The previously quiet world around seed to be significantly changing.
It seems that the ’entrance’ rules mastered by the Black Wolf Gang weren’t complete.
There was a third rule.
"Loren?! Zzz—Loren?!" The static on the phone grew stronger, Reid seed to have noticed sothing was wrong.
He Ao slightly raised his wristband, speaking softly, "I seem to have entered an anomaly, talk after I get out."
"What?! Zzz—" Accompanied by the sound of electrical disturbance, the phone signal was completely cut off, the whole world fell into silence again.
Faint sounds seed to echo in the corridors on both sides.

Beeeep—beeeep—
Amidst a series of urgent busy tones, Reid looked at his wristband, eyes a bit dazed.
"Captain?" Lily, who was operating the computer on the side, looked at Reid with so confusion, "What’s wrong? Whose call was that just now? Is it that Loren? What’s wrong with him?"
"He said," Reid put down the wristband, subconsciously reaching for the nearby cigarette box, "he entered the anomaly space, we’ll continue talking when he gets out."
"This kid has quite the nerve," Lily exclaid subconsciously, then froze slightly, suddenly realizing sothing, she asked in a tone as if she misheard, "Where did he enter?!!"
Reid had already grabbed the cigarette pack, holding one in his mouth, "Anomaly space."
"He entered the anomaly space? What does ’wait till he cos out’ an?" Lily seed completely bewildered, "Does he think it’s ho, cos and goes as he wishes?"
She paused suddenly, realizing sothing, lowered her head, "At ho?! It seems like an anomaly?"
"No matter what the situation is, we have to go check it out," at this mont, Reid’s emotions had cald down, he stood up directly, "Call the others, we’re heading to Monte District right away."
Lily paused for a mont, then imdiately stood up, "I’ll notify everyone right away."

Otherworldly Space
"Loren, is that you?" A familiar, middle-aged voice ca from behind the door behind He Ao, "You’ve finally co, co in quickly and help with these handcuffs."
The voice carried a hint of urgency and fatigue, "They have always locked here, it’s so dark here, Loren, co in and help ."
He Ao turned around, looking back.
At this mont, there were eight gang mbers standing behind him, each holding a gun, leaning together, tensely watching the doors on both sides.
The smart glasses had completely lost connection, unable to identify the identities of the eight individuals.
However, He Ao’s gaze didn’t stay on them, but rather turned sideways, looking at a door to the right, the hoarse voice had co from behind that door.
He Ao quietly gazed at that apartnt door, it wasn’t locked but slightly ajar, the inside was unclear, only a mysterious, viscous-like darkness could be seen.
There was no room number on the door, only on the side where the floor number was painted, the original white ’13th floor’ had turned into a blood-like ’13.5.’
At this mont, because He Ao had turned, those gang mbers facing him were also tensely watching him.
The leader among them gripped his gun tightly, watching He Ao intently, "Kid, what kind of magic did you do? Where have you taken us?"
But before he could finish speaking, as if hearing sothing, he turned his head, looking at the opposite door on the other side where He Ao was staring.
And the other gang mbers behind him also seed to hear sothing and turned their heads.
"Loren! Co quickly, help open the door!" On He Ao’s side, the voice behind the door continued, it was the ’coach’s’ voice.
"Boss?!" At this ti, the little leader in front was looking at the door on the opposite side, as if he had heard so incredible news, his eyes were sowhat surprised.
Then a trace of excitent flashed across his face, and he quickly said, "Don’t worry, I’ll be right there!"
Saying that, he rushed toward the door on the opposite side.
That door was also ajar, and behind the crack seed to be pitch-black darkness.
"If I were you, I wouldn’t go in," He Ao said casually, looking at him.
"Kid, what do you know!" The little leader glared at He Ao, "I’ll spare you for now, after I save the boss, I’ll co kill you."
Saying that, he raised his hand, and the seven gang mbers behind him simultaneously raised their guns, aiming at He Ao.
Seeing this, He Ao helplessly shrugged his shoulders.
The leader no longer looked at He Ao, instead, without hesitation, reached out and pushed the door open, stepping into the hazy darkness, "Boss, I’m here."
His body was completely swallowed by the darkness, and the opened door seed to follow so kind of automatic closing chanism, slowly closing back into an ajar state.
The remaining gang mbers were still aiming their guns at He Ao, but their eyes nervously watched that ajar door.
No voices ca from inside the door, just a ’creak—creak—’, as if so heavy object was grinding against sothing.
A mont later, the leader’s voice rang out again, "Three more people, I can’t do it alone!"
This ti, even He Ao could hear the voice inside the opposite door.
Upon hearing this, He Ao squinted his eyes slightly.
Can only hear the voices of people they ’recognize’?
He Ao couldn’t hear the ’boss’s’ voice behind the opposite door, and in the thoughts of the gang mbers in front of him, they couldn’t hear the ’coach’s’ voice from He Ao’s side of the door either.
At this mont, hearing the ’leader’s’ voice coming from behind the door, the remaining seven gang mbers exchanged glances.
Three gang mbers from the front separated from the seven, carrying guns, slowly approaching the door, while the remaining four continued to aim their guns at He Ao.
This ti, as the three gunn walked to the door, one sowhat pudgy figure from the back four suddenly spoke, breaking the silence, "Hey, are we caught in that urban legend?"
He paused, then continued, "The repeating door number, soone calling from behind, then ’disappears’,"
He slowly looked at the ajar door, trembled, then continued, "Is that really the ’boss’ inside?"
The three people approaching the door froze simultaneously at this mont.
"What the hell are you babbling about out there," a panting, impatient voice ca from behind the door, "Hurry up and help."
Hearing this, the three people close to the door paused again and turned their gaze to the door.
Finally, the two at the back looked at the one in front.
The foremost person hesitated a bit, then slowly reached out his hand to push the door open.
He Ao quietly watched all of this, shrugging his shoulders.
The foremost person pushed the door open, stepped a little bit inside, and nothing happened; then his face lit up with joy, and he stepped further into the room.
Soon, his entire body was engulfed by the darkness.
This ti, there was no creaking sound, just faint footsteps.
"It’s fine in here!" The voice of the foremost person ca from the darkness, "I see them!"
The two people standing outside the door imdiately looked delighted, they waved their guns at He Ao and then entered the door, quickly disappearing into the darkness.
Then, accompanied by the sound of ’creak creak’, the door slowly closed.
"Damn it, why is this thing so hard to solve?!" The little leader’s voice rang out from the room again, "Send a few more people in to help!"
"Yes, co in and help!" The three who just went in imdiately echoed.
The four remaining outside hesitated as they looked at the ajar door.
The gang mber on the far right of the four hesitated and said, "If we go in, what about the kid outside?"
"Don’t worry about the kid outside, we’ll kill him together when we co out." The little leader’s voice ca from inside the door.
"Yeah, yeah, you guys co in first!" echoed the voices from inside the door.
At this mont, the pudgy figure in the middle suddenly rushed to the door, kicked it open, aid his gun at the darkness behind the door, and pulled the trigger.
Bang bang bang—
Accompanied by the rapid gunfire and sudden flashes, the entire magazine was quickly emptied.
But no sound of bullets hitting anything solid ca from the darkness.
The twisting darkness wriggled, as if a mouth was floating in the darkness, speaking.
"Why haven’t you guys co in yet?" "Hurry up and help!"
The pudgy figure trembled as he watched this, taking a few steps back.
"It’s a monster!" yelled the three people left in place, turning to run away from He Ao.
The pudgy figure who fired the gun turned to look at He Ao.
He Ao shrugged.
After a brief hesitation, the pudgy figure still held his gun, chasing after his companions to leave.
He Ao turned his head and looked behind him.
The long corridor seed endless, with no end in sight.
He withdrew his gaze and looked forward, in the direction where the gang mbers had left.
In that direction, the corridor still stretched endlessly, with no end in sight.
The gang mbers’ figures soon beca small in the corridor, then were no longer visible.
An endless corridor, huh.
"Hey, co over and give us a hand," the door that had been opened closed again, the little leader’s voice ca from inside, "Help us, and once we save the boss, we’ll give you a million federal coins!"
"Loren, co quickly, co save ," a middle-aged man’s voice also ca from the door on the other side.
He Ao no longer looked at the two doors but continued forward, moving quickly along the corridor.
Since the leader of the Black Wolf Gang could co and go here at will, it ans there is a stable exit.
In a place like this, everyone can enter according to the rules, and it must be that no one is stationed here without a reason.
Moreover, those who stand guard at this position must be the core confidants of the Black Wolf Gang leader.
So it should be easy. As long as I catch one of the gang mbers here who knows the inside story, I can find out how to get out.
At the sa ti, I probably can find out the whereabouts of ’Mu He’ as well.
