Chapter 1320: Chapter 1320: Egg of Analysis (Large Chapter Asking for Monthly Tickets)

The shattered chanical shell, fragnted plastic waste, scattered under the eerie blue light.

He Ao crouched down and picked up a plastic sign with words written on it.

Pop—

A soft sound ca from beside him as a light illuminated the area around He Ao’s head.

“That’s a light switch,” Li Cheng withdrew his hand from the button beside him, then looked up at the flickering light overhead, “After all these years, there’s still electricity here?”

“There should be fusion batteries inside,” He Ao shook off the dust on the plastic sign, glanced around the scene, and spoke casually.

“Is this perhaps the legacy of civilization?” Li Cheng looked up again at the light overhead as he walked over. Then, he saw the plastic sign in He Ao’s hand and asked softly, “What does it say?”

“‘Do not eat inside the laboratory'”

He Ao placed the plastic sign on an overturned equipnt table beside him and spoke casually.

“What?”

Li Cheng was taken aback by his words, then realized the ssage on the plastic sign read ‘Do not eat inside the laboratory’.

He lifted his head, looked over the hall again, and remarked, “Many people must have lived here once.”

“Yes.”

He Ao nodded slightly.

Just at that mont, a faint ‘rumbling’ sound reached his ears, and he turned to look behind him.

The stone door they had entered through was slowly closing, etched with vivid red patterns on its surface.

“Should we go and hold it open?”

Li Cheng also heard the commotion behind him. He turned around, watching the stone door slowly close, and asked softly.

Clearly, he didn’t expect the ‘power’ on the door to still be in effect.

It seed like Hao Yi hadn’t completely destroyed the array on the door.

“No need,” He Ao shook his head, withdrew his gaze, and said softly, “The door can be opened from the inside as well.”

“Alright.”

Li Cheng withdrew his gaze and didn’t ask further.

He understood Hao Yi’s intention, that the stone door could still help them fend off potential enemies coming from outside.

He withdrew his gaze and saw He Ao carefully inspecting the surrounding scene.

“Did you find anything?”

Li Cheng asked softly.

“There are no bloodstains here.”

He Ao paused for a mont, then slowly spoke.

He scanned the area with the stone egg’s eerie blue glow, observing everything within sight. Although it was chaotic, with many instrunts and equipnt strewn about, there were no bloodstains on the ground or beside the instrunts.

This was a stark contrast to the other laboratories they had passed in the hallway, which were filled with bloodstains.

Though the air remained cold and oppressive, it lacked the distinct sll of blood.

Li Cheng also noticed this. He looked up at the pipes overhead, at the vehicles parked beside the ‘platform’, and spoke softly, “When the project team evacuated from here, they must have done so quite calmly.”

This was evident from the warning signs they left at the entrance.

“Yes.”

He Ao nodded slightly, sharing Li Cheng’s thoughts.

The mutation likely occurred after everyone had evacuated, inside the satellite laboratories.

He lifted his gaze, looking at the giant stone egg glowing with eerie blue light.

It ant that, for the researchers back then, danger ca from outside, not inside.

“These instrunts and equipnt seem to be broken,” Li Cheng had already walked to a nearby control computer and was fiddling with the machine’s buttons, “If they evacuated smoothly, shouldn’t there be so residual data or files?”

Hearing Li Cheng’s words, He Ao looked up and glanced at the machine Li Cheng was tinkering with.

The machine’s screen was pitch black, connected to a tal cabinet below, similar to the ‘computer’ he had seen on the Navigator, likely a standard-issue computer from a civilization.

He walked over and opened the machine’s lower cabinet with a ‘bang’, revealing the condition of its host.

The intricate motherboard was now charred, with electronic components burned into lumps.

“It’s already broken.”

He Ao withdrew his gaze and casually closed the cabinet.

Then he glanced at several other machines that appeared to be computers, swiftly walked over, and following a series of ‘bangs’, opened the hosts of these computers one by one.

Li Cheng followed behind him, seeing nothing but clusters of charred remnants.

“All these computers are destroyed?” He frowned, observing the charred parts behind He Ao, “Burned?”

He Ao stopped in front of the ninth computer host, lifted his head, and scanned the entire field, filled with pitch-black screens.

“Is it due to unstable voltage?” Li Cheng frowned beside him, speaking softly, “Or was there a massive surge of energy in the circuitry? How could so many computers be burned at once? Did this large research institute not prepare any stabilizing equipnt?”

“They should have ergency protection devices.”

He Ao’s eyebrows furrowed slightly.

It’s unlikely that a sophisticated laboratory wouldn’t have arranged for such things.

In the Navigator’s case, many devices were running smoothly.

He flickered into the next region, swiftly opened a computer’s host cover.

This ti, he didn’t open each one but selected several in the sa area, quickly moving to the next region.

Li Cheng mimicked his manner, choosing several unopened computer hosts in areas He Ao passed by.

Before their eyes, they were t with the sa charred motherboards.

Proceeding for several hundred ters, crossing multiple seemingly different research areas, He Ao halted, raising his head to gaze at the giant stone egg at the center of the space.

“It looks like they’re all destroyed,” Li Cheng approached, frowning slightly, observing the last opened host before He Ao, still blackened inside, “Were they uniformly destroyed during evacuation? But wouldn’t that be rather inconvenient?”

Li Cheng glanced over the chaotic surroundings, “Achieving the effect of simultaneously burning all devices poses high risks and lacks control. It would be easier to disassemble the devices or manually delete information.”

“Perhaps,” He Ao pondered the glowing stone egg beside him, “the machines were destroyed before they evacuated.”

“What?”

Li Cheng was stunned.

“Let’s go have a look first.”

He Ao withdrew his gaze and walked towards the giant suspended stone egg.

Li Cheng followed closely behind him.

The two of them quickly passed various equipnt and areas, eventually finding a direct path to the center of the space.

During this ti, Li Cheng also tried to climb onto the platform, walking along the pathways that seed to be for ‘public transit cars,’ but he was soon blocked by the buses congested inside, and eventually had to co down and quickly follow He Ao’s footsteps below.

Along the way, they passed through several areas with completely different styles.

Although this enormous ‘laboratory’ looked very spacious, it almost had no wall partitions. In reality, different experint areas were divided by the large fixed experintal apparatus.

These large areas were further divided into different smaller sections with electronic equipnt or simple barriers.

Along the way, Li Cheng even saw what seed to be a cafeteria area.

These well-placed ‘barriers’ ensured both the openness of the entire experintal area, allowing almost every section to easily see the central gigantic stone egg, and ensured a certain level of privacy.

Li Cheng also discovered so noise-canceling equipnt at the edge of the partitions between areas.

The principle of this equipnt was to emit sound waves at the sa frequency but opposite to the noise to cancel it out, allowing even adjacent experintal areas to be unable to hear each other’s words, creating a sort of ‘electronic soundproofing’ effect.

Unfortunately, these devices seed to have been broken for so ti, and Li Cheng couldn’t ascertain whether their effect was as he imagined.

Of course, besides observing the surrounding equipnt along the way, Li Cheng also carefully looked for any remaining materials that could be observed.

But sadly, other than the badge Hao Yi picked up initially, he found no equipnt with written text, nor any paper materials.

The people who retreated from this laboratory indeed didn’t have much ‘urgency.’ They had enough ti to collect everything and leave with them.

Without materials, they wouldn’t know how they originally shattered Andaville’s Spear. If they couldn’t find a thod to restore Andaville’s Spear to a Talent Sequence, even coming here might be in vain.

In this regret and reflection, the two arrived at the center area of the entire space.

He Ao stopped and looked up, at the massive stone egg floating ahead.

At such a close distance, the stone egg floated in the air like a mountain, grand, hefty, and filled with a terrifying pressure.

The arrangent of the experintal equipnt in this central area was along the nearly circular shadow that the stone egg cast on the ground.

Underneath the stone egg, which is the very center of the space, there was no experintal apparatus or equipnt arranged. Instead, there was a pedestal about half-person high, with a diater of about two ters, silently standing in the center, directly under the stone egg.

A faint eerie blue light bathed the surrounding area.

He Ao gazed at the stone egg before him, a hint of orange-gray gleam flashed in his eyes.

With the help of the power of the Eye of Truth, he could sense the terrifying power contained within the stone egg, feeling the twisted position.

This was an Angel Tier item.

Indeed, only another Angel Tier item could shatter an Angel Tier item.

Thus, this project group is called the ‘Angel Tier Item Recomposing Project Group,’ rather than the ‘Andaville’s Spear Research Project Group.’

The true subject of this laboratory’s research was this stone egg, and the shattering of Andaville’s Spear might just be a byproduct.

However, unlike the kind of terrifying pressure sensed through the Eye of Truth, in a normal field of view, this stone egg itself, besides being enormous, floating, and emanating a blue glow, had nothing peculiar about it.

It didn’t unconsciously emit pressure and twisted contamination like other Angel Tier Extraordinary Items; it just quietly floated there as if it were a genuine, unhatched ‘egg.’

If it truly were an ‘egg,’ then what was it nurturing within?

Putting away his scattered thoughts, He Ao turned his head to look around.

The experintal instrunts built around this massive stone egg were mostly in a ‘black screen’ state.

This ti, He Ao cald his heart and began opening the mainfras of these instrunts one by one.

Seeing his actions, Li Cheng did not hesitate and started to open the mainfras from the other side.

Soon, the two circled the stone egg, checking all the instrunts.

The result was that all devices suspected to be computers and possibly containing information were destroyed.

Even those that weren’t computers and appeared to be so kind of simple detection instrunts were in a completely unusable state.

Except for these damaged electronic devices, there was no docuntation left, not even any clutter.

Everything was cleared out ticulously.

He Ao and Li Cheng exchanged a glance, sowhat helpless.

It seems that this project group had plenty of ti during their evacuation.

He Ao raised his hand and rubbed his forehead.

They had just searched through those satellite laboratories and still found no written materials.

It was cleaned up a bit too thoroughly.

He Ao lifted his gaze to the round platform directly below the stone egg.

Then he lifted his foot and directly walked over.

Li Cheng watched his actions but, this ti, did not follow him. Instead, he held Andaville’s Spear, guarding the periter.

On his path forward, He Ao also carefully observed the ground beneath his feet.

Since the damaged instrunts, although there were no devices or apparatus along the way, He Ao vaguely saw so shallow lines.

These lines were very faint, barely visible without close inspection, but they intertwined densely, covering the entire area around the platform.

He Ao continued forward until he reached the front of the round platform.

As expected, the platform was also covered with dense patterns, stretching from the ground all the way to the center of the platform’s top.

After a brief contemplation, He Ao raised his hand and touched the platform in front of him.

Ka—

With a light sound, the platform in front of him trembled slightly, and a pale eerie blue light appeared beneath it and slowly gathered to its side, outlining a line of ancient text.

It wasn’t any language from the Original Federation, yet He Ao understood its aning the mont he saw it.

‘Egg of Analysis’

He shifted his thoughts and looked upward.

Above him, directly above the platform, a very faint eerie blue glow had sohow already lit up beneath the enormous stone egg, revealing a subtle crack on its underside.

Just by gazing at that crack for a mont, a fierce contamination exploded in his mind.

The space around him began to writhe.

Pop—pop—

Clusters of blood-red eyeballs squeezed out densely from the void around He Ao, turning their gaze towards him, standing at the platform’s center.

He Ao didn’t imdiately look at the eyeballs around him but instead shifted his gaze towards the distant stone door.

The stone door remained tightly shut, showing no signs of opening.

These eyeballs didn’t co from the stone door!
