1062: Chapter 1062: Divine Might (Super Long Chapter, Seeking Monthly Pass) 1062: Chapter 1062: Divine Might (Super Long Chapter, Seeking Monthly Pass) “Boss, all the human sacrifices have been herded outside, ready to be loaded into the vehicles.”

The goateed man looked at the tall man standing in front of the desk, bowing his body, and spoke quickly.

“Good, I know.”

The tall man raised his hand and said calmly, “I’ve already spoken with the Second Vice President, and he has approved our temporary relocation.

The address will be sent to shortly.

Keep a close eye on those human sacrifices; once the address cos through, we’ll set off.”

“Yes!”

The goateed man nodded vigorously, then he glanced at the sowhat silent tall man and hesitantly asked, “Boss, are you worried about sothing?”

“No,”

The tall man waved his hand, “You go down first.”

“Yes!”

The goateed man hesitated for a mont, nodded gently, and pushed the door to leave the office.

The tall man let out a sigh, turned around, and looked at the wall he had just shattered, a slight frown on his brow.

Then he lowered his head to look at the cellphone on his desk.

After having passed through the rigorous identity verification at the gathering point, he finally got in touch with the Second Vice President, and conveyed his concerns to him.

To ensure the safety of the human sacrifices, the Second Vice President had also allowed him to move the already captured human sacrifices ahead of ti.

And he had authorized the smartphone he held, allowing it to receive encrypted address information.

Everything went smoothly.

The Second Vice President had also praised his sharpness and said that as long as he could deliver all the human sacrifices, he could redeem his rits.

Of course, he had to be careful not to bring any tails with him.

This ‘crisis’ seed to be resolved just like that; he just had to proceed according to the planned operations.

But for so reason, he felt a bit uneasy in his heart.

It all happened too suddenly, too coincidentally, without any warning.

Although the deputy team leader was a bastard, he also didn’t seem like soone who would betray the Rong Guang Society.

His hand pressed against the solid wood desk, his brows furrowed tightly.

Exactly where was the problem.

——

The strong wind and heavy rain lashed against the huge temporary canopy.

The crowd was packed like cattle and sheep in the rain, with large trucks driving in from the distance; the people who were originally standing together were also separated by the rolling crowd.

“Did you see that Central Earth young man?”

The disheveled man was nearly suffocating in the dense crowd; struggling to move through them, he looked up and saw a hot-tempered man standing at the edge, half a head taller than the people around, and shouted loudly.

“Didn’t see him?”

The hot-tempered man shook his head, glanced around, and pointed to an Elderly man praying with his head down on the right, “The old man is there, but I didn’t see the young man.”

“That kid was just here, how co he’s nowhere to be seen.”

The disheveled man squeezed through the crowd, trying not to get his chains stuck, and walked up to the hot-tempered man, sighing.

“We’re all in the crowd; there shouldn’t be any problems, and I didn’t see anyone running out of the crowd.”

The hot-tempered man said in a thick voice.

Then he looked up at the ard patrol personnel surrounding the edge and the crowded people and couldn’t help but say, “Are we just sitting ducks here?”

The disheveled man opened his mouth but couldn’t catch the words.

The hot-tempered man opened his mouth, about to say sothing.

Bang, bang, bang—

The rapid gunshots, like popping popcorn, instantly sounded not far behind the hot-tempered man.

Among the outer patrol personnel, a man was holding up a submachine gun and firing into the sky, “Everyone freaking keep quiet, whoever talks again, I’ll kill.”

Then once again, the originally slightly noisy crowd quieted down.

“A bunch of brainless livestock.”

The gunman seed quite satisfied with his handiwork, laughing heartily.

anwhile, the hot-tempered man in the crowd hung his head, silent.

······

“Where did the problem start···”

The tall man rubbed his hair and walked to the window, watching the sudden violent downpour.

He took out his cellphone and dialed the deputy team leader’s number.

But the only response was a ssage that the phone was switched off; he felt his heartbeat quicken, as if so twisted crisis was entangling around him.

It was like···

It was like being watched by so naless entity.

At that instant, cold sweat quickly covered his back.

He looked up, his gaze piercing through the veil of rain, looking towards the clouds in the sky above.

Above that firmant, within the endless deep sky, it seed as though a certain gaze was looking down from above, monitoring this place.

This is a world of the Transcendents, where all sorts of weird events could happen; don’t trust too much in what you see with your own eyes.

These were the words he had once heard from a companion when he had entered an ancient ruin.

“No, that’s not right,”

A fine radiance spread over his body as he staggered back behind his desk,

“If there were no problems, if that idiot hadn’t betrayed us…”

A husky voice ca from his mouth, fear crawling over his body like countless tiny ants.

Buzz—

At that mont, his phone vibrated, and an encrypted address popped up on the screen.

His hands trembling, he unlocked the phone, looking at the encrypted address that only his biotric authentication could access.

He raised his hand and dialed a number.

“Boss,”

The voice of a man with a goatee beard ca through the phone, “What is it?”

“I’m asking you, what is the last rule of the Rong Guang Society’s code of conduct?”

The tall man spoke hoarsely.

“In the case of an uncontrollable weird event,”

The goateed man answered, “imdiately execute all non-mbers of the Rong Guang Society and sever all contact with the outside world until the weird event disappears or an envoy is found.”

He seed puzzled, “Boss, what’s wrong?

Do you suspect there’s a weird influence?”

“No, I don’t know.”

The tall man shook his head, his eyes sowhat vacant.

“Boss, these human sacrifices seem to be restless.”

The goateed man seed to detect that his boss was off and quickly changed the subject, speaking softly.

“Kill them,”

The tall man’s brow furrowed, “There’s a surplus of these human sacrifices; I authorize you to execute so to teach them a lesson.”

“Understood!”

The goateed man answered imdiately.

The tall man bowed his head and hung up the phone.

He looked at the encrypted ssage on his phone sowhat blankly.

For a mont, he had considered ordering the goateed man to kill all the human sacrifices.

These human sacrifices were indeed important, but if a real weird existence was watching them right now, and they brought its attention to the City of Rong Guang, then the sin could not be forgiven.

Yet, he couldn’t make the decision; he was afraid that he was simply hallucinating, afraid that his own perception was faulty.

He had to report this matter to his superiors.

Perhaps, the second vice-chairman could show him a clear path; as long as those big shots knew, even if there really was a weird existence nearby, they would have a solution.

He lifted his hand, picked up the phone, and dialed the number.

Dial—

As the first busy tone sounded, the tall man’s heart almost reached his throat.

The wind carrying rain blew into the room, a hand reaching out from the darkness behind him and pressing the mute button on the phone’s microphone.

“Look at the guy behind us,”

In the crowded throng, an irritable man whispered to the man with disheveled hair in front of him, “He’s loading his gun.”

“Ah?”

The man with disheveled hair looked up and glanced at a patrolling officer nearby, watching as the officer worked the action of his rifle, “What’s this about?”

“I just saw him pick up a walkie-talkie; his superior must have given him an order.”

The irritable man spoke slowly, his gaze sweeping over all the patrolling officers around, “They are all loading their guns; in the current surveillance state, there’s no need for all of them to do this; it’s too easy to have an accidental discharge.”

“What are you trying to say?”

The man with disheveled hair still seed a bit confused.

“I’ve been in the military,”

The irritable man looked at the man with disheveled hair before him, showing patience like never before, “I feel that they are preparing to kill, suspecting we might react violently, and are taking precautions in advance.”

“Why, why would they kill?”

The man with disheveled hair widened his eyes.

“Do you need a reason to kill ‘livestock’?”

The irritable man’s gaze continued to sweep over the crowd that had once again beco noisy, “If you really want a reason, it might be that they think we’re too restless, and want to kill a few to intimidate us.”

Hearing the irritable man’s words, the man with disheveled hair opened his mouth slightly, but in the end, said nothing, just gritted his teeth.

“Listen,”

The agitated man continued in a low voice, “The one behind us, who just fired to scare us, I can get close to him and grab his gun, but I need soone to cover and distract his attention.”

“Once you get the gun, you think you can beat all those people?”

The long-haired man asked hoarsely.

“Can’t beat them, can only die.”

The agitated man responded calmly.

The long-haired man paused.

He knew this was a choice of certain death.

After a brief yet seemingly long contemplation, he slowly spoke, “I’ll cover you.”

“If you die, I will soon join you.”

The agitated man patted the shoulder of the man in front, glanced around at the environnt – they were at the edge of the crowd – “Wait for my signal, then do your best to attract that guy’s attention, while I rush him from behind.

Be careful, don’t get shot and die in an instant.”

“Those few over there, co out!”

As the two were talking, a patrolling officer randomly selected a few people, pointing a gun at them, motioned for them to walk out.

The chosen people looked at each other, not knowing what was awaiting them, yet still slowly moved forward, out of the crowd.

“Act now.”

Just then, the agitated man’s voice echoed in the long-haired man’s ear, followed swiftly by his figure squeezing towards the side.

The long-haired man looked up at the patrolling officer not far away, took a deep breath, looking at him, raised his hand and shouted, “Sir, I need to go to the toilet!”

His voice suddenly drew the attention of the surrounding crowd and several patrolling officers.

“To the toilet?”

The patrolling officer the long-haired man was looking at laughed and holding his gun, asked mockingly.

“Yes,”

The long-haired man, hands cuffed with iron chains, bending over, said humbly, “I’m in a bit of an ergency, need to take a dump.”

“Ergency, huh?”

The patrolling officer laughed heartily, pointing the gun at the long-haired man, “Then do it right here, let everyone see.”

The long-haired man glanced around at the people nearby, shrank his head, “Sir, isn’t that a bit inappropriate?”

“What’s inappropriate about it?”

The patrolling officer laughed even louder, causing the other nearby officers to burst into laughter, then he aid his gun at the long-haired man, “Co out, stand in the front, didn’t you want to take a dump?

Do it right here, in this rain.”

“This…”

The long-haired man’s brow furrowed, hesitating.

“Didn’t you hear telling you to co out and do it?”

The patrolling officer’s voice grew colder.

“Yes, yes.”

The long-haired man bowed his head, inching forward, out of the crowd, into the pouring rain.

His gaze flicked behind the patrolling officers, observing the rapidly approaching figure.

“Good, good, good,”

The patrolling officer laughed heartily, “Livestock should relieve themselves in the wild, let the other livestock watch, why are you not moving, do you need an invitation?”

Droplets of scattered rain fell on the long-haired man’s cheeks, he looked at the patrolling officer’s smile, shuddering as he nodded, “Yes, yes.”

He placed his hands on his belt.

“Hahaha—livestock is still livestock—”

The patrolling officers burst into complete laughter at the sight, the surrounding officers joining in.

“Ha ha—ugh—”

Then, the laughter stopped abruptly.

Thick iron chains wrapped around the patrolling officer’s neck, pulling taut on either side, choking off his breath, the agitated man’s hands gripping the chains tight, muscles bulging, he whispered into the patrol officer’s ear, “Who’s the livestock?

Huh, who’s the livestock?”

“Ugh—ugh—”

The patrolling officer had no chance to answer, his face turned red and rapidly purple, his body struggling, moving less and less.

“Attack!

Attack!”

At this mont, the laughing patrolling officers around him snapped to reality, shouting out, raising their guns aid at the agitated man.

Bang, bang, bang—

With the intense gunfire, bullets opened up blood blossoms on the body of the patrolling officer held by the agitated man, ending his life.

At the sa ti, the agitated man let go of the chains, snatched the patrolling officer’s gun, rolled behind cover, and began exchanging fire with the other officers.

anwhile, the long-haired man took advantage of the commotion to trip another patrolling officer who was running towards them quickly.

“Murder!

Murder!”

Shouts of chaos erupted from the crowd.

The huge crowd began to stir.

And at this mont, an Elderly standing amongst the crowd suddenly Opened his mouth, bellowed, “Kill these beasts!

Kill these beasts!

Do you want to die or live?!

If you don’t want to die let’s kill these beasts, break out, K will bless us!!!”

Then, without any hesitation, he took the lead and charged out.

The crowd around him heard his cry and saw his action, and they followed him into the fray amidst the chaos.

“Kill!!!”

The long-haired man’s face flushed red as he directly jumped onto the patroller he had tripped over, desperately trying to wrestle the firearm away from the patrol mber.

The patrol mber was about to shoot him dead, but with a ‘bang,’ a gunshot sounded, and the patrol mber’s head burst into flower.

The long-haired man looked up, just in ti to see the irritable man behind cover, adjusting the firearm in his hands towards him.

He curved his lips into a smile, but before he could express his gratitude, a thick arm suddenly reached out from the downpour, grabbed the irritable man’s neck, threw him aside, and his firearm was separated from his body.

“Trash,”

A strong man walked out from the curtain of rain, stepping forcefully on the chest of the man on the ground, “re livestock raised in a sheep pen, yet you dare to challenge the masters favored by the Divine Beings.”

“These animals are really getting more and more disobedient.”

The bellowing Elder was choked by a gaunt palm, as the goateed man lifted him and tossed him into the pond of rainwater.

Then he raised his head, looked at the crowd that had rushed out, and sneered,

“Destroyer K will bless you?

What a dream.

Destroyer K only blesses the strong under Rong Guang.”

His body was cloaked in a faint glow, with twisted flesh sprouting behind him.

The massive and terrifying Flesh Spiders unfolded in everyone’s field of view in an instant, reaching up to tens of ters in height.

At the sa ti, Transcendents and fully ard patrollers walked out from behind the rain curtain, forming a solid wall and advancing toward the crowd trapped in the rain.

The crowd, originally charging forward, slowly stopped in its tracks upon witnessing this scene.

Click—

The sound of rifle bolts being pulled back in unison echoed through the night.

The giant Flesh Spiders gazed down at the crowd below, revealing a ferocious smile, “Initially, I just wanted to kill a few for amusent.

Since that is the case, I’ll kill more to teach you what it ans to know your place as ‘livestock’.”

That strange and grotesque voice rang in everyone’s ears.

So people rushed forward, restraining the long-haired man with a gun and pressing the barrel against his head.

In the corner of the long-haired man’s eye, it seed as if he saw the strong patrol mber raise his fist, smashing it down on the irritable man lying on the ground.

At this mont, the words of the irritable man echoed once again in his mind, ‘Nothing but death.’

They knew when they started this action that it was a dead end.

The enemy’s strength was far beyond their imagination, but even so, they still chose this path.

The barrel pressed against his head trembled slightly as if the owner of the gun had his finger on the trigger.

“You animals, monsters,”

The Elder who had fallen into the rainwater looked up at the giant spider monster and scread hoarsely, “You will suffer divine retribution!

The Divine Being is not ignorant of everything!

The Divine Being is watching you all!”

A fierce wind kicked up the torrential rain, and heavy dark clouds gathered in the Firmant, swirling almost to cover the entire sky.

“Do you think your day and night cries can kill us?

Your ignorant faith is laughable,”

The giant spider monster looked down at the Elder on the ground, corners of its mouth twisted into a savagely joyful grin, “You keep saying your Divine Being is watching us – then why doesn’t He co to save you?”

It raised its huge and sharp spider leg, “If He truly has eyes if He truly has the radiance you claim, then He should descend with His divine might and cleanse this murky world.”

It lowered its head to look at the Elder, “Isn’t that what you think?”

Its smile grew more and more sinister, “Unfortunately, your faith and you as a person are both trash.”

The massive spider leg descended, ready to pierce through the Elder’s body, “Old Geezer, it’s the end.”

“Go to hell!”

The Elder angrily rose to his feet, reaching out to grab the imnse spider leg, “One day, you will get your couppance!”

“Retribution?!”

The corner of the spider monster’s mouth curved into a smile, “Let it co.”

The huge spider leg descended as Thunder illuminated the sky.

Boom—

Thunder exploded above the Firmant.

The Elder’s hands caught the enormous spider leg.

He looked up to see the monster’s carcass penetrated by the light.

Boom—

Thunderous sounds overlapped like rapid drumbeats, with endless light connecting the Firmant and the earth, brightening the entire world as if it were daylight.

He Ao lifted his head, glanced at the flickering light outside the window, and gently placed his hand on the frightened tall man’s shoulder, speaking in a steady voice that betrayed no emotion, “Your fate, lend it to for a mont.”

Accompanied by a look of intense agony, the tall man’s body vanished from the world as if erased by an eraser.

“Hello.”

At that mont, the call connected.

He Ao turned off the microphone mute, barely opening his mouth, using the tall man’s voice, “Hello, everything is ready.”

“Received, welco to the rendezvous point.”

The person on the phone replied with a laugh.
