The eting room.
The executive committee mbers of this cultural festival gathered here for another eting.
Naturally, Minami Sagami, who successfully assud the role of executive committee chairperson, sat in the main seat, with Yukino appointed as the vice-chairperson by her side.
"Please report the progress of the publicity team," Minami, with a smile on her face, spoke up.
"Sure." A bespectacled young man stood up. "About half of the posters scheduled for posting have been completed."
"Is that so? That's good progress. Thank you for your hard work," Minami encouraged with a smile.
However, Yukino spoke up at this mont.
"No, it's still a bit slow."
"Huh?"
This statent attracted everyone's attention.
"Has the negotiation work for the poster locations and the uploading of the website hopage been completed?" Yukino asked calmly.
"Uh, not yet," the bespectacled young man who spoke earlier felt a bit embarrassed.
"Then please expedite it. The publicity work cannot be neglected," Yukino said calmly.
"I won't ntion the people outside the school for now, but prospective junior high students and their parents who want to apply to our school often browse the campus hopage, so this cultural festival is also a great opportunity to promote our school."
"O-Okay, I understand," the bespectacled young man from the publicity team nodded hurriedly.
After assigning tasks, Yukino turned to Minami beside her.
"Sagami-san, you can continue."
"Ah... alright," Minami felt a bit awkward. Although she was the executive committee chairperson, she felt like she was being overshadowed by Yukino.
However, despite feeling slightly uncomfortable, she continued, "Next, please report the situation from the volunteer managent team."
"Sure." The person in charge of the volunteer managent team stood up and began to speak.
"For this cultural festival, we have organized a total of ten volunteer groups."
"Wow, that's impressive. With so many people participating, it must be due to the regional awards," Minami's face lit up with so joy upon hearing this result.
"Well then, moving on..."
But before she could finish her sentence, Yukino interrupted her.
"Are only campus groups participating at the mont?"
The girl's cool deanor revealed a hint of seriousness.
"Have you approached various local organizations?"
"Since we promote strengthening ties with the local community every year, it's essential to involve local groups as well. Please negotiate with them as soon as possible."
With that, Yukino picked up a form and continued speaking.
"Also, regarding the allocation of stage usage ti and details of perforrs, please create a clear and concise titable and submit it."
"I understand, we will do it as soon as possible," the girl from the volunteer managent team nodded quickly.
Seeing Yukino organizing everything so efficiently, the people in the eting room couldn't help but start discussing.
"What does it an to be a professional?"
"Yukinoshita-san... is really amazing."
"She can arrange everything so well, it's incredibly reliable."
"Compared to her, Sagami-san seems..."
Even the student council president, guri, couldn't help but express admiration.
"Indeed, she truly lives up to being Haruno-senpai's sister. She's a born committee chair."
"No... it's nothing."
Yukino just replied calmly and continued to look at the form in her hand.
Seeing her serious and responsible deanor, the people in the eting room began whispering again.
"By the way, wouldn't it be better if Yukinoshita-san were the chairperson directly?"
"Hey, keep your voice down, Sagami-san is still here."
"Right, right."
Hearing the murmurs, Minami's expression soured a bit.
Although she had asked Yukino for help, in her heart, this cultural festival should be her stage, not completely overshadowed by Yukino.
But evidently, Yukino was already in her elent. Holding the form in her hand, she spoke again, "Next, we need to address the task of recording and miscellaneous items. The recording personnel need to submit the daily schedule and equipnt requests."
"Okay... understood," the executive committee mber in charge of these tasks nodded quickly.
Seeing that there was no room for her to exert herself, Minami's expression darkened.
No, this isn't how it should be, it's completely different from what I envisioned.
Shouldn't everyone be listening to ?
Why, why did it turn out like this?
Actually, not only Minami, but even Hachiman in the corner raised an eyebrow.
He also felt that Yukino was indeed too domineering. After all, Minami was the chairperson, and Yukino was just invited to help.
But Hachiman also understood that this was just how Yukino was. She beca too serious when she worked, and once she got into the zone, she tended to take over everything subconsciously.
Although rationally speaking, it would be much more efficient to have Yukino, who was experienced, replace Minami, who didn't know much. However, from a rational perspective, Yukino was too dazzling. This would definitely cause trouble for Minami, the real chairperson, and it also contradicted what Yukino initially said when she took on the task.
She had initially said she would only assist Minami as the chairperson, not take over everything like she was doing now.
No wonder Minami completely gave up thinking later on. After all, Yukino was doing everything, so she didn't have to do anything.
It seems like I need to have a talk with Yukino. If she continues like this, Minami will indeed have no room to shine, and the final result will inevitably beco like in the original work, where nothing gets done.
Thinking this, Hachiman raised his head and glanced at Yukino, who was still thodically assigning tasks, with a wry smile on his face.
...
The eting ended, and everyone got up and left the conference room, preparing for their afternoon classes.
Minami naturally left with a gloomy expression. After all, in this eting, she barely got to say a word apart from a couple of initial remarks.
Hachiman also rose to leave, but on passing Yukino's desk, he addressed her, still organizing docunts.
"Yukino, wait for after school this afternoon. I need to talk to you about sothing."
Though puzzled, Yukino nodded.
"I understand."
Seeing her agreent, Hachiman didn't linger and left the conference room directly.
On his way back to the classroom, around the corner of the staircase, he spotted Minami stomping her foot, clearly unhappy.
"Ugh, this isn't what I imagined at all. What's the deal with Yukinoshita, stealing all my lilight!"
Observing this, Hachiman raised an eyebrow.
But he couldn't entirely bla her. After all, she took on the role of chairperson to shine, but now all the spotlight was on Yukino. How could she not be upset?
"Sagami-san." Hachiman greeted with a smile.
Hearing soone behind her, Minami's stomping froze for a mont, then she turned and saw Hachiman standing not far away.
Though not close, they were classmates and both elected as executive committee mbers, so she couldn't just run off.
Thinking this, Minami forced a gentle smile onto her face.
"Oh, it's Hikigaya-kun. Is there sothing you need?"
Seeing her sowhat forced smile, Hachiman shrugged.
"Sagami-san, there's no need to pretend in front of . It's better to be genuine."
Unfortunately, Minami's face still bore the false smile. "What do you an, Hikigaya-kun? If there's nothing, I should go back to the classroom."
Just as she was about to leave, Hachiman spoke up again.
"I know why you wanted to be the chairperson, Sagami-san. You wanted to stand out and be admired by everyone."
"I'm sure Hayama understands this too, which is why he, being the kind-hearted person he is, nominated you as the chairperson. That way, you could fulfill your wish."
"But unfortunately, things don't seem to be going as smoothly as you both expected."
