The clouds in the sky shimred with radiant hues, like a vibrant sunset, spreading from the heavens and illuminating much of the sky.
“What’s going on?”
Not only did Zhang Xuan notice the anomaly, but everyone in the Zhang Estate was also alard. Sun Qiang, Liu Mingyue, and others erged from their rooms, lifting their heads toward the sky in curiosity and astonishnt.

“Impossible…” Zhang Xuan shook his head.

Moreover, if a treasure of this caliber had appeared, Zhou Cang and the others who had recently departed would surely have rushed over. It wouldn’t have gone unnoticed.

Noticing Zhang Xuan’s questioning look, Min Jiangtao quickly explained, “I’ve just received word that Senior Brother has been inquiring about your whereabouts all day…”
“I already know.” Zhang Xuan nodded.
Mo Baiye had unexpectedly shown up at the Wanxiang Gate and ordered Mo Hong to attack. It was clear that his whereabouts had been discovered.
“According to what I’ve learned, my teacher… my teacher might be planning to act against you!” Min Jiangtao hesitated for a mont before revealing his concern.
After being forced to use the Red Cherry Blossom to defeat Mo Hong, he hadn’t thought much of it at first. However, upon returning, he realized sothing was amiss and discreetly investigated Mo Hong’s recent actions. His suspicions were confird.
Zhang Xuan simply replied, “I had already guessed as much.”
Although he hadn’t used the Mo Dao technique during his duel with Mo Hong, his understanding of the technique allowed him to avoid the attacks in advance. This might have exposed so clues to the other party.
Since killing Ling Buyang, Zhang Xuan had given up on nding his relationship with Mo Baiye. Their falling out was inevitable.
“So… what should we do now?” Min Jiangtao’s expression was tinged with anxiety.

Watching him leave, Zhang Xuan turned toward Sun Qiang, who was standing nearby. “Three tasks: First, have soone monitor the movents of the Mo Dao Sect. If they make any hostile moves against us, inform imdiately. Second, find out where we can purchase a large amount of Heaven’s Fate Energy. Third, investigate what’s causing this anomaly in the sky.”
“Yes!” Sun Qiang cupped his fists and left to carry out the instructions.
Although his own abilities made it impossible to spy on the Mo Dao Sect directly, information could be easily bought for the right price. This task wasn’t particularly challenging.
An hour later, Sun Qiang rushed back, his expression filled with urgency.
“What is it?” Zhang Xuan noticed his unusual deanor and frowned.
“Master, I’ve found out about the anomaly in the sky. It seems to be related to Kong Shi…” Sun Qiang reported.
“Explain in detail!” Zhang Xuan’s expression grew solemn.
The phenonon in the sky had not only persisted but had grown even more vibrant over ti, like a fiery cloud blazing on the horizon.

Before Sun Qiang could elaborate, a voice called out from outside the courtyard. A woman appeared, following a servant who seed unable to stop her.
“Young Master…” the servant began to explain but was promptly ignored.
Hearing the address, Zhang Xuan looked at the woman. Her stunning eyes were filled with a hint of confusion. “Are you Zhang Xuan?”
“Leave us,” Zhang Xuan waved the servant away. He looked at the woman who had barged in and smiled faintly. “What brings Lady Fu here unannounced?”
The visitor was none other than Fu Yingying, the overseer of the underground market in Hanyuan City.
“So it really is you… I didn’t expect you to be so handso and younger than I imagined…” Fu Yingying exclaid with excitent.
Previously, she had only seen him disguised as Ling Buyang. She had known he was young but hadn’t expected him to be so dashing and brimming with charisma.
“Ahem!” Zhang Xuan coughed awkwardly.
Being overly handso wasn’t sothing he could control. A burden, really!
“I have urgent business with you. The matter we discussed in Hanyuan City—is that still valid?” Fu Yingying asked directly, her earlier amazent giving way to focus. “My clan’s selection competition has just been announced to start this afternoon. Can you spare the ti to help ?”
“This afternoon?” Zhang Xuan was startled.
Previously, they had agreed that he would assist in the clan’s selection process half a month later. Only six or seven days had passed. Could such a major family event be moved up on a whim?
“Yes!” Fu Yingying’s expression carried both urgency and helplessness. “I had planned to prepare more thoroughly and lessen your burden. But before I had the chance, this news arrived…”
“Clan selections are usually stringent and carefully arranged. Why the sudden change?” Zhang Xuan frowned. It seed uncharacteristically haphazard.
Fu Yingying glanced at the sky. “It’s all because of this anomaly.”

“The radiance in the sky is called the ‘Radiance of the Divine Domain.’ It’s caused by the activation of the core of the Heaven’s Fate Divine Domain!” Fu Yingying explained.
“Radiance of the Divine Domain? Core activation? Are you talking about… Zhi Lan Valley?” Zhang Xuan’s expression shifted as realization dawned. He quickly turned to Sun Qiang, who nodded in confirmation. A surge of excitent and anticipation filled his chest.
The activation of the Heaven’s Fate Divine Domain’s core… Could it an that Kong Shi was about to refine it?
Near the Zouyi Dynasty, the only known Heaven’s Fate Divine Domain was Zhi Lan Valley. Kong Shi had been pursued into it and had remained silent since.
Zhang Xuan had traveled here painstakingly to rescue him. Yet, before he could even find a way to enter the domain, Kong Shi had already activated its core. Could it an that the refinent process was nearly complete and success was imminent?
