Sitting in a nicely decorated room in the Divine Sword Sect, Kieran had been left essentially to his own devices after he had arrived. Reaching the sect was mostly a non-event. He would have loved to see the sect, but they had placed a bag on his head before he arrived to prevent an uproar breaking out in the sect due to a mans presence.
He was deposited into this room and locked in with nothing to do. He knew there were guards outside his room from their conversation, but he could barely make out more than a couple words every sentence. It seed like they were just yapping anyway with no substance.
The room had a large luxurious bed, a table with silverware, a wardrobe with clothes, and even a separate room for a bath. There was a window too, but it was made of stained glass and there was so weird formation that prevented him from opening it.
So now all he had was ti. He could only wait and watch the tir tick down. He tried to sleep earlier but he just couldn't fall asleep from the excitent of the day.

[Congratulations, you have received a starter pack]
[Would you like to open it now?]
[Yes] [No]
Without even hesitating Kieran selected yes.
There was a bright flash of light and the entire system suddenly went blank for a mont before reorganizing itself.
[Congratulations! You have received your starter items]
[1x Divine Dual Cultivation Technique attained]
[1x Trash Tier Cultivation Talent]
[1x Universal Triple Effectiveness Ticket]
[15x Lottery Spins]
"Eh? Bro what the fuck. I'm thankful for the good cultivation technique, but why did I get this trash talent? And what's this other stuff?"
Focusing on the Universal Triple Effectiveness Ticket, the system seed to respond.
[The Universal Triple Effectiveness Ticket may be used on any single item to triple its effectiveness so long as the items rank is below Divine. This is very rare so use it wisely!]
"Damn, that seems super useful. Is there a chance to get more in the future?" Asking this question, Kieran only received silence in response.
"Uhh cool. Fine then, don't answer . Can you at least tell what this lottery is then?"
As soon as the word lottery was ntioned the entire screen changed and a bright gold lottery machine appeared on it with many amazing things on the screen. God sealing swords, rare dicines that could turn even frogs into godlike beings and best of all, pills that could raise a persons cultivation talents by entire levels.
On the side of the Lottery Machine was a little golden lever, and beside it were a few options.
[1x Spin]
[10x Spin]
Below, there was a separate option and a PSA.
[Item scrap]
[You receive 3x free spins daily, so use them wisely!]
"Interesting. So if I spin the 10x, do I get 10 items, or is it a higher chance to get sothing good?" Saying this Kieran received no response again.
"Psh. It seems this system doesn't answer questions and only gives descriptions of items. I'll have to figure the other features out myself. Oh well, we'll start with the 1x spin and see what I get."
Kieran tapped the golden lever with the 1x option selected and with a neat happy jingle, the machine began to spin.
Du du du dee du du dee du du
Ding!
[Aww, too bad. Seems like luck wasn't on your side this ti - Better luck next ti!]
"I fucking knew this was too good to be true! I'm literally gambling, of course the house is going to win. God damn it! Am I really going to be stuck with this trash cultivation talent?"
Sighing with regret, Kieran took a mont to calm down.
"Alright, so of course this would happen. Let's keep spinning. I got these spin tickets for free so I can't complain too much."
"Again."
Du du du dee du du dee du du
Ding!
[Congratulations! You have acquired a prize of 1x Trash Tier Cultivation Talent! It is one of the lowest possible prizes you could receive! Be grateful to have this useless, laughable and overall pathetic piece of cultivation talent that would only serve to waste the breath of even the weakest cultivator!]
Kieran nearly passed out from rage. He said nothing and only shook in silence with his eyes closed. After a brief mont, he simply opened his eyes and spun again.
Du du du dee du du dee du du
Ding!
[Aww, too bad. Seems like luck wasn't on your side this ti - Better luck next ti!]

[Congratulations! You have received a prize of 1x Low-Quality Spirit Stone! It is the ninth quality spirit stone out of the nine qualities, making it one of the lowest-quality possible! While it is still a usable spirit stone, even the weakest of cultivators would scoff at its abysmal quality! If it was compared to a grade, it would be equivalent to an F! You can probably find sothing worth more lying on the bottom of a puddle!]
Kieran scread in rage before punching the wall and hurting his hand instantly calming him by a small degree.
"What the fuck! I've done nothing and yet I'm being mocked every ti I actually win! What is this shit?! Fuck!"
After a few monts, Kieran's eyes turned to the 10x spin. He only had these ten spins left, but if he won sothing good, it would be worth it.
Kieran tapped the 10x box and pulled the lever.
The machine gave a louder and more enthusiastic jingling sound as a ssage ca up on the screen:
[10x Lottery Spin tickets used.]
[10x Lottery guarantees a win every spin!]
Ding!
With a bright light appeared a new ssage on the screen.
[Congratulations! You have received a grand prize of 1x High-Quality Spirit Stone! It is the First Quality Spirit Stone out of the 9 Qualities, making it one of the highest-quality possible! While it is still a usable spirit stone for weaklings like you, even the strongest of cultivators would be eager to have such an exquisite stone! If it was compared to a grade, it would be equivalent to an SS!]
