Crowne turned his head.

"What is it?" Daisy asked.

Crowne shook his head. "It’s nothing."

They continued choosing clothes. The two girls picked out several outfits for him. Crowne did not really care about styles or what kind of clothes he wore. As long as he could put them on, he would wear them.

One thing that did irritate him a bit was how Daisy and Lina took far too long. Just to buy one set of clothes, they spent nearly two hours. It was such a waste of ti. And when he reminded them, Crowne received sharp glares from both girls.

In the end, he resigned himself and followed whatever they said.

"Ah, this looks good on you," Daisy said, showing him the outfit she had chosen.

Lina glanced at it, then shook her head while jutting out her lower lip. "I don’t think that suits his skin tone. It makes him look pale."

Hearing that, Daisy narrowed her eyes. "Huh? And what is that supposed to an?"

Lina lifted her shoulders casually. "It ans exactly what I said. Your choice is too..." She flicked her wrist in a mocking gesture. "...old fashioned."

Daisy stiffened. "Old fashioned? Are you calling my taste old?"

"Well... a little," Lina replied calmly while patting the clothes she picked out. "Crowne needs sothing more modern. Sothing that makes him look handso. Not sothing that makes him look like a seventy-year-old man."

"You...!" Daisy nearly hurled the outfit in her hand. "At least my choice is elegant. These are clothes worn by nobles. They suit Crowne perfectly. Unlike yours, which is way too flashy. Bright red?" She let out a mocking laugh. "Crowne is not a clown who needs to attract everyone’s attention. He needs sothing simple and elegant."

Lina rolled her eyes. "Better flashy than boring like yours."

"You are saying noble attire is boring? That ans you are insulting the king’s wardrobe too."

Lina did not seem bothered. "If it is boring, then it is boring."

"I am sure Crowne will look dignified wearing my choice. It fits his build well," Daisy insisted.

Lina waved her hand. "No. That is not true."

Their argunt heated up quickly. Several custors in the shop turned to look at them. Crowne, who had been standing there silently the whole ti, finally exhaled a very long sigh. It was so long that two store employees glanced at each other and struggled not to laugh.

He stepped forward, his voice calm but firm. "I will buy both."

Daisy and Lina stopped imdiately and turned to him in unison, both protesting.

"No! Just choose mine!" Daisy cried.

"No, mine is better for him!" Lina shot back.

Crowne raised both hands. "I will buy both and wear them alternately. You do not need to argue anymore."

The two girls went silent for a mont. Then at the sa ti, both huffed and looked away.

"Fine," they said together.

Crowne closed his eyes briefly. Today felt more exhausting than fighting the King Kraken.

He walked toward the employees who had been watching the whole scene. The mont Crowne approached, they suddenly straightened their posture, even though just monts earlier they had been laughing behind their hands.

Crowne noticed it, but he did not bother saying anything. He had no ti for sothing so trivial. He handed the two outfits to the employees.

"I will take these two."

They nodded and quickly brought the clothes to the counter. After folding them and placing them into a plastic bag, they handed it to Crowne along with the total he needed to pay.

Crowne grabbed the bag quickly. He wanted to leave as soon as possible. He felt embarrassed by Daisy and Lina’s commotion.

"Tuan, you are truly impressive," one of the employees praised.

Crowne paused and frowned. "What do you an?"

"You are being fought over by two beautiful girls. You are very lucky." The employee studied Crowne’s face for a mont, even narrowing her eyes. "Ah, and you are handso too. The three of you would make a lovely couple."

Crowne opened his mouth, wanting to deny it, but then decided not to. He glanced at Daisy and Lina, who were already waiting near the exit, waving at him. Crowne let out a deep sigh.

"Thank you," he said simply.

He walked toward them, carrying the clothes he had bought. It was only five in the afternoon. They still had one or two hours before sunset. Their day together was not over yet. They would stroll around and eat while watching the evening sky.

Crowne scratched his head. "On Earth, I never experienced anything like this. Turns out it is exhausting," he muttered.

**

That day, Crowne really spent the entire day with Daisy and Lina. Truly with them. They only headed back at nine at night. The sky was fully dark.

"Are you sure you do not want to walk you ho?" Crowne asked.

Daisy and Lina imdiately shook their heads. "No. You need to rest. Besides, we are adventurers. We are not the type of girls who can be kidnapped easily," Daisy replied.

Crowne nodded and waved. "Alright then, see you again."

They parted ways. Their destinations were different. If Crowne had still been staying at the old man’s house, they might have walked together. But he could not stay there anymore because the people had already labeled him a criminal. Now, he was lodging at an inn near the adventurer guild.

Crowne walked slowly and opened his system screen.

[Locked Mission: Evolve 10 beasts! (Cooldown: 44:23:10)]

[Reward: 99,999 Market Points and SSS Rank Skill]

A new mission had appeared. This ti, the mission was different. He was not asked to ta beasts, but to evolve them.

He tapped the question mark next to the mission.

[Explanation!]

[To evolve a beast, there are two main thods:

1.Raising the beast’s level until it ets the evolution requirent.

-Each beast has a certain level cap before they can evolve. Once they reach that cap, they enter the Evo Stage, and the user can choose their evolution path if one exists. The higher the potential of the beast, the higher the required level.

2. Using a special item called Evolution Core.

-The Evolution Core is a special core that forces a beast to evolve regardless of level conditions.]

"Evolution Core?"

Crowne imdiately opened the Shop nu. He felt like he had seen that na before. He searched carefully and after almost five minutes, he found the item he was looking for.

[Evolution Core]

[Price: 10,000 Market Points]

[Buy: Yes. No]

Crowne froze the mont he saw the price. He currently had only 79,497 Market Points.

If he bought only Evolution Cores, he could evolve seven beasts. That ant he still needed three more.

"Ten thousand for one?" he muttered, his eyes widening slightly.

Crowne closed the screen slowly while rubbing his temple. The best and cheapest thod was clearly leveling his beasts.

He shook his head several tis, unable to believe what he saw. Crowne took a deep breath, calming himself again.

"I need to set aside ti for farming," he whispered.

He was about a quarter of the way to his inn when he stopped. He turned around.

Several figures were approaching him. Crowne clicked his tongue in annoyance. He turned fully and waited for them.

"Why are you coming to this late at night?" Crowne asked.

The group imdiately bowed and kneeled before him. One of them was very familiar to Crowne.

He was the commander of Doomsty City’s troops, though now he had been promoted to general. Despite his new high rank, he kneeled before a young man far younger than himself.

"We ca to deliver two things," the general said.

"Say it."

The general nodded. "First..." His expression tightened as he spoke. "I apologize for failing to capture one of the people involved in Zurath’s murder. He escaped the city even before you attacked, but we will continue searching for him. We promise."

Crowne nodded. He did not expect them to actually take his command seriously. They could have lied.

"And the second?" Crowne asked.

The general’s expression turned serious. "Viscount Darius will arrive in this city tomorrow. I hope you leave before he gets here, or things will turn bad. We have prepared a carriage for you."

"Does he know I am the one who killed Delon?"

The general shook his head. "Of course he does not, but he will start investigating. We may try to hide everything, but we do not know how things will unfold. There is no guarantee we can cover it up. That is why the best option is for you to leave the city before Viscount Darius arrives."

Crowne was not afraid of Darius, but if trouble happened, his departure would be delayed. And that was the last thing he wanted.

He exhaled deeply. "Alright. I will follow your request."

The general lowered his head deeply, relieved. "Thank you for your understanding."

Crowne looked toward the dark road leading to his inn. "Prepare the carriage before sunrise. I want to leave without attracting attention."

"Yes, Sir!"

They stood and quickly dispersed, leaving Crowne alone on the empty street.

He let out a long breath. "I barely finished one problem and the next one already shows up. This is troubleso," he grumbled.

Crowne then walked toward the inn, his steps steady as he looked up at the night sky. Tomorrow would be a long day.
