The slaughter was still happening. There was nothing that could stop what Crowne was doing. Whatever they tried, in the end it would fail against Crowne.

Until soone walked toward him. He bowed toward Crowne. "Sir, I beg you to stop. Many innocent people have to beco victims. I beg you," the man said.

He placed a small chest in front of Crowne. The man’s face was pale, and he was terrified. But he had to do it.

Crowne looked at the chest. He opened it and saw a severed head inside. Crowne stayed silent for a few seconds before he turned toward the man in front of him.

"What is this?" he asked.

"That is the head of Lord Delon. It is a sign of our apology," the man said.

Crowne stayed silent even longer than before. He stared at the head without blinking. He took a deeper breath. Then he looked again at the man in front of him.

"Was he the only one involved in the death of Zurath?" Crowne asked again.

The man was shocked when he heard Crowne’s question. He did not know the na Zurath at all. The man was the commander of the training division.

In the city of Doomsty, there were seven commanders who led one division each. Above them was a main general, but that position was empty because the general had been killed a few days ago.

"Yes, he was the last one. The others have already been killed by you," the man answered. He was lying.

But Crowne knew from the man’s expression. He pointed his sword at the man. The tip of the Dwarfwood Chainblade was right in front of the commander’s eye.

"Do you swear?"

The commander nodded. "I swear. If I am lying, then the Gods will curse until my soul is destroyed."

"I will stop all of this, but I have several requests," Crowne said.

The commander nodded without looking into Crowne’s eyes. He only bowed because terror forced him to do so.

"Just say it."

"Kill everyone who is involved in the death of Zurath, give a proper life to his family, and release Evans and Daisy," Crowne stated his requests.

The commander nodded imdiately without thinking. "We will do it."

Hearing that, Crowne lowered his head for a mont. He took the chest and left that place at once. He was still not satisfied, but there was nothing more he could do.

Everything ended as if it was hanging in the air. Crowne looked upward. He exhaled. "This is not what I imagined."

After Crowne left, the commander quickly stood up. Several of his soldiers approached him.

"Did it work?" they asked.

The commander nodded. "Follow my orders. There are four things we must do," he said.

After that, he began walking and explaining what Crowne had requested. The soldiers were a little surprised because Crowne’s requests were not as difficult as they expected.

So even thought this was a trap, but the commander convinced them that they still had to do it.

"I do not know if this is a trap or not, but if this is not a trap, ignoring his requests is suicide," the commander said firmly.

The other soldiers nodded. They imdiately spread out and did everything Crowne requested without exception.

All soldiers were gathered and given their own tasks so everything could be done quickly.

"I have to do this as fast as possible or this will turn bad," the commander said.

About thirty minutes after Crowne left Delon’s residence, Evans and Daisy were released. They were allowed to leave without any conditions at all.

Their faces were confused. "What happened?" Daisy asked.

The soldier who released them turned around and walked away. He did not explain anything that had happened.

Daisy and Evans looked at each other in confusion. The two of them lifted their shoulders at the sa ti.

"What is this?"

Daisy shook her head. "I do not know."

They stood in front of the gate for quite a long ti. Maybe about ten minutes. Only then did they leave that place. They returned to the guild to find out what had happened.

"... and that is how it was," Kyrielle said.

Evans furrowed his eyebrows. He felt sothing was strange about Kyrielle’s story. Sothing felt off, but he could not figure out which part. He only had a feeling that sothing in her story was wrong.

Evans scratched his head. "And that guy just managed to escape? Is this not like a child’s made up story?" he complained.

Kyrielle told them that Delon’s residence had been attacked by masked troops. Their numbers were huge, and they managed to break through the soldiers’ defenses. Many were killed and it ended with Delon’s death.

After Delon died, the masked troops left without leaving a trace.

This was the story Kyrielle heard from the people. She also did not know if it was true or not. She only told them what she knew.

She did not realize that the story had been manipulated by the commander who gave Delon’s head to Crowne. He sent almost four hundred soldiers and ordered them to disguise themselves as ordinary people. They spread everywhere and told that story to everyone.

One lie that is repeated over and over and spoken by many people will be accepted by others. Until the original story sinks and is forgotten.

"So, Delon is really dead?" Evans leaned back in his chair. He sowhat regretted it. "I wanted to do it myself, but apparently that will never happen. This is a bit annoying."

He closed his eyes for a few seconds. Then he stood up and wanted to leave the guild’s front hall. But before he could leave, Kyrielle suddenly said sothing with excitent.

"Ah, I forgot to say it." Kyrielle looked toward Daisy. "Your sister has been found. She is now in a room upstairs. Do you want to see her now?"

Daisy, who had been thinking about Kyrielle’s story earlier, widened her eyes. She even stood up imdiately.

"Lina? Do you an Lina?" she asked twice.

Kyrielle nodded. "Yes, Lina is in the room upstairs."

Daisy felt relieved. A smile filled her face. Tears even fell because of the overwhelming emotion, but she quickly wiped them away.

"Take to her," she asked.

Kyrielle nodded. She left her working place. She gave a signal. "Co on, follow ."

In another place, Crowne was sitting on the rooftop of a house. He was looking in one direction. A woman and two small children were smiling after they were given gold coins.

The woman even wanted to kneel in gratitude, but she was stopped by the soldier who delivered the coins.

Crowne watched that small family smile. It made him feel relieved.

"Do you not want to et them?" the sa commander asked.

Crowne shook his head. "They do not know and also..." he took a long breath. "and also I am the cause of their father and husband being killed."

The commander shook his head. "No. That is not your fault."

Crowne glanced at him. He stood up and prepared to leave. "Ah, can I ask for your help again?"

The commander nodded. "Just say it."

"Prepare a carriage in three days. I want to return to the city of Stromhall."
