After Max was done with his daily needs and also wasting so ti, he locked himself in the room and decided to practice for the rest of the day.

He undressed himself, leaving only boxers and sat on the wooden floor. His eyes closed, his body in the lotus position and his breathing slow and steady.

Max slowly drifted to...sleep.

[Wake up!]

He was jolted awake and realised he actually slept while trying to ditate. He coughed lightly and said, "That doesn’t count!"

[Sure, I believe you!]

Max’s lips twitched but he ignored her and tried to get in ditation. The power system for this novel was inspired from Cultivation at its core and Max had just added so LitRPG stuff to make it more fun.

So, if he wanted to learn everything by himself he needed to use that Cultivation core. Fortunately, his theory side was solid after making many power systems and reading hundreds of Xianxia novels.

He slowly cald down his breathing and removed the unnecessary thoughts from his mind. His surroundings were clear and tranquil, just what he needed.

’Now, I need to actually sense mana!’

He had already used mana unconsciously a lot of tis so it wasn’t that big of an issue.

Coupled with his knowledge of how the mana worked and its natural properties, Max was able to grasp mana in just two hours.

Along with that grasp on his inside mana ca the sudden realisation of the foreign, atmospheric mana.

He shivered, feeling as if he was sitting at the bottom of an endless ocean with water covering him from all sides. Surprisingly, that water was flowing through his body naturally with no obstacles.

Or at least that’s what it seed from the surface look.

As the centre of that mana, Max could feel the obstacles it was facing before passing through his body. Most of it was getting reflected though.

’My mana Veins, huh!’

Max was given a chance to awaken and dive in the Labyrinth, but his mana Veins were 95% blocked so he was deed useless and thrown away.

He wasn’t supposed to have mana moving inside him so properly. But nature has its own way of doing things and it had created a strange thod to let the mana pass through his body.

That was the reason Max could use the mana to level up in bronze Rank. Though, he had a doubt that it was probably related to Kafka.

Now, however, the problem was back again.

Blocked mana Veins not only made the flow of mana harder, they also kept the person from using the mana properly or in a huge amount.

Max knew all of that and had so plans but for now, his only goal was to make his mana control as perfect as possible.

He needed to get in a state where he unconsciously trapped the mana within him and did not let it pass through his body.

First, he got used to living under the ocean of mana that was ever flowing like an endless ocean.

Then, he used his sense to grasp that mana. It was an odd feeling and if Max had to describe it, then it would be like gaining a new limb all of a sudden.

That grasp proved to be quite weak as the trapped mana once again began to move. However, Max didn’t give up and continued his practice.

Finally, after a few hours of constant failure, he managed to get things right and began to control the mana consciously.

It obeyed him, making him feel giddy as he let the mana flow throughout his body using the blocked mana Veins.

They weren’t completely blocked so Max was able to get past the obstacles after so hard work.

After he was done with it, he made sure that the mana didn’t leave his body. It was harder than he thought, as the mana tried very hard to reunite with the atmospheric mana but Max held his grasp tightly and didn’t let it slip.

He didn’t stop at that and continued his practice until he finally managed to keep the mana trapped inside him.

Now, he could use it in battles and to use skills properly.

Opening his eyes, Max gasped for air and dropped his head back, sprawling on the wooden floor in his own pool of sweat. He didn’t move for quite so ti, giving his body so rest.

Then, he looked at the ti and muttered, "Damn! It really took a whole day, huh. Never imagined I would be sitting a whole day in the sa place even though I hated those office jobs."

[What about office Beauties?]

"That is beside the point and we can roleplay if you want," Max smiled and said. "You can beco the horny secretary who wants a promotion and I’ll be the boss who will not be satisfied with just a few tis."

[How about I beco the dom boss?]

"Nah! No interest in that," Max quickly rejected and sat up properly.

It had already grown dark outside and the ti showed he was past dinner ti. He wondered if John would still give him the dinner since ti had passed.

"But I need to freshen up first, then celebrate my small victory and then think about the solution for my mana Veins."

Max sighed and directly went to the hot spring attached to his room. The innkeepers had given a hot spring per room and he couldn’t be happier for that.

After he freshened up and dressed, an hour had already gone by.

Clad in a light and plain white shirt, and dark shorts, he went downstairs and found a beautiful middle-aged woman sitting on John’s table.

She was conversing with John with a face full of smiles. Seeing their interactions, Max smiled as well and felt guilty for disturbing them.

Sadly, he was too hungry to care now.

So, he went towards them, looking sideways to see if there was anyone else. But everyone had already finished their dinner and went on with their usual stuff.

The lobby was completely empty.

"Uncle John, sorry for disturbing your sweet monts, but can I get anything to eat?" Max asked.

John shifted his head slightly to look past his wife and snorted, "Did you sleep all day or what, Kiddo? Co here and eat sothing!"
