Atlas watched as Athyst and dusa killed the remaining Blood Sharks that lingered around. Monts later, Nulia and Estelle appeared as the blonde knight glanced at him, a worried expression before she hugged him.

Her arms wrapped around his shoulders as she pulled his head into her cleavage while speaking, relief lacing her voice. ''I'm glad you're okay, handso, we were worried when you didn't return to the Otherworld.''

''A Mana Storm kept us trapped in an underground cave,'' he revealed, but stopped talking when he saw sothing in the distance.

Without wasting ti, Atlas shouted to the Phoenix flying high above. ''Can you go see what's in the distance, my love!''

Athyst let out a shriek before flying of in the waves direction as his gaze snapped onto Nulia. ''Transform into your Frostbear form. We may need to get to higher ground and you're the fastest.''

When Estelle heard this, her eyebrow rose. ''What's happening? And why can't we jump into the Otherworld?'' she questioned.

''Yes, but we'll be trapped inside, I don't trust another Mana Storm from appearing,'' Atlas answered. ''And I believe it's a massive wave heading in our direction.''

Nulia didn't say anything and transford into her Frostbear form, prompting the two of them to jump on her back before started running. While doing that, Athyst swooped down and told him a Mana Storm was far in the distance.

Nulia's massive paws thundered against the rocky terrain, kicking up clouds of dust, barreling toward higher ground. Atlas clung to her fur, Estelle's arms wrapped tightly around his waist, her breath warm against his neck.

Above them, Athyst soared, her wings casting flickering shadows as she scanned the horizon. ''It's closing in!'' her voice rang out, sharp and urgent.

Her eyes glinted in the dim light, tracking the monstrous wave roaring across the plains. The wall of water churned with unnatural energy thanks to the Mana Storm, flecked with violet mana that crackled like lightning.

''How far to the cliffs?'' Atlas shouted, nearly drowned by the growing rumble of the approaching flood.

''Too far!'' Athyst called back, diving closer. ''It'll hit in minutes!''

Estelle's grip tightened. ''Can't we portal out? Risk the storm?''

Atlas shook his head, eyes fixed on the rising ground ahead. ''Not yet. If we get caught in the Otherworld during a Mana Storm, we're done for as it will have us trapped there.''

He leaned forward, urging the Frostbear on. ''Faster, Nulia! Head for that ridge!''

She growled, her muscles rippling, claws tearing into the earth. The air grew heavy, thick with the scent of water and salt. The wave's roar was deafening now, a god-like force swallowing the landscape behind them.

Athyst swooped low, her wings grazing Nulia's back. ''There's a cave in the ridge!'' she shouted, pointing with a glowing talon. ''It's high enough, might hold!''

Atlas nodded, his mind racing. ''Nulia, aim for it! Everyone, brace yourselves!''

Monts later, they neared the ridge, the ground trembled beneath the wave's approach. Athyst veered upward, a beacon against the darkening sky. Nulia skidded to a halt at the cave's mouth.

Atlas and Estelle leapt off, stumbling into the rocky shelter. Athyst landed beside them, her wings folding as she shifted back to her humanoid form. The wave crashed against the cliffs below, spraying foam and mana-charged mist. The cave shuddered but held.

Atlas peered out, his jaw tight. ''That was too close.''

Estelle slumped against the wall, catching her breath. ''What was that thing?''

Athyst's eyes narrowed, glowing faintly in the cave's gloom. ''Not just water. Sothing's fueling it, sothing alive.''

The cave's entrance shimred with reflected light as the mana-charged floodwaters lapped against the rocky threshold, their glow casting eerie patterns on the walls. Atlas crouched near the entrance, his eyes narrowing as he peered into the churning depths below.

Estelle and Nulia, still in her Frostbear form, flanked him, while Athyst stood at his side, her aura dimd but alert. ''There,'' he whispered, pointing to a massive shadow shifting beneath the water's surface.

The flood had settled into an unnatural stillness, broken only by ripples radiating from the shape. It was colossal, its silhouette dwarfing the cliffs. A low, resonant hum vibrated through the cave, rattling loose stones.

Estelle's breath caught. ''Is that… a whale?''

''Not just a whale,'' Athyst said, her voice tense.

She leaned forward, her eyes glowing as she studied the creature. ''It's infused with mana. That's what caused the wave. It's lingering out there, watching us.''

Nulia let out a deep growl, her fur bristling as she pawed the ground. Atlas placed a hand on her head, steadying her. ''Easy. We don't know what it wants yet.''

The water surged suddenly, and the creature's head broke the surface, its massive eye locking onto the cave. Its skin glistened with iridescent scales, pulsing with veins of violet mana.

The whale's gaze was ancient, intelligent, and unnervingly focused. A low moan echoed, shaking the air, and the floodwaters rose higher, licking at the cave's entrance. ''It's testing us,'' Athyst said. ''We can't stay pinned here, it'll flood the cave if it wants to.''

Estelle drew her blade, its edge glinting in the dim light. ''Then we fight. Or we run. Your call, Atlas.''

Atlas's mind raced, weighing their options. The cave was a temporary refuge, but the whale's presence ant they couldn't stay. ''We can't fight that thing head-on,'' he said, glancing at the young phoenix woman. "Can you scout a path out? Sowhere the water hasn't reached?''

Athyst nodded, her body igniting as she shifted into her Phoenix form. She launched into the air, dodging a sudden surge of water that splashed into the cave. Nulia roared, backing deeper into the shelter as Atlas and Estelle braced against the spray.

The whale's hum grew louder, almost a challenge, as its tail slapped the water, sending another wave crashing toward the cliffs. Atlas gripped Estelle's arm, pulling her back. "Nulia, be ready to move! We're not waiting for that thing to make the first move.''

Just then several horrible auras slamd into the group, Athyst was sent crashing to the ground. When realizing this, his eyes narrowed at the giant whale swimming outside, he scanned the creature to find out its rank.

[Deep Sea Leviathon - Rank ????]

'Huh?' he thought baffled.

Atlas hadn't seen anything like that but he quickly warned the group. ''We can't escape, that thing is too strong.''

When everyone heard this they stiffened, Nulia quickly transford into her human form. ''How do you know that?''

''The monsters aura is sothing else,'' he replied.

Afterward, Atlas set to work establishing a camp within the cave, where an abundance of dry wood lay scattered across the stone floor, ready for use. The Frostbear woman, her movents steady and purposeful, lent her strength to the task, gathering kindling and arranging it.

anwhile, the other two won took up positions near the cave's entrance, their eyes sharp as they kept watch over the landscape outside and their new companion, whose presence still stirred a cautious curiosity among them.

As Atlas worked, stacking the wood into a sturdy fire pit, the air grew heavy with the scent of pine and earth. He struck a flint, coaxing sparks into a small fla that soon blossod into a steady blaze, casting flickering shadows on the cave walls.

The warmth radiated outward, a welco reprieve from the biting chill that had begun to seep into the cavern as the day waned. By the ti Atlas finished, the weather outside had taken a sharp turn for the worse.

A howling wind carried the first flakes of a brewing snowstorm, and the temperature plumted, driving a frigid draft toward the cave's mouth. The won, sensing the encroaching cold, instinctively drew closer to the fire.

Its golden glow illuminated their faces, softening the tension in their expressions as they huddled together, the crackling flas providing not only warmth but a fleeting sense of security in the wild, untad wilderness beyond the cave.

Following that, Atlas decided to set up the tent so the four of them could stay warm during the night. When Estelle saw this, she approached and started helping as he gave her a charming smile.

''Thank you Estelle,'' he thanked her.

The blonde returned the smile and they silently set up their safe haven for the night. Athyst and Nulia was cooking so at on the fire, they were adding spices and other ingridiants that he gave them,

The sight of the camp coming together ward Atlas's heart, a quiet satisfaction settling over him as he surveyed their handiwork. The tent stood firm against the cave's uneven floor, its taut canvas glowing faintly in the firelight, a small bastion of order in the wild.

He dusted his hands, the scent of pine and earth clinging to his skin, and allowed himself a rare mont to savor the accomplishnt. Estelle approached, her steps light, a soft smile playing on her lips.

Without a word, she slipped behind him, her arms encircling his shoulders in a warm, familiar embrace.
