Nala responded with a thunderous roar that echoed through the air, then sprang forward, her powerful strides carrying them through the snow-covered forest and, thanks to her power, the surrounding monsters avoided them.
Atlas was scanning their surrounding as the trees passed by in a blur. He could sense dozens of monsters fleeing from them, which made him chuckle as Nala's voice echoed in his mind, 'Can I join in the attack, Master?'
''Yes, I'm going to use you and the Void Ghouls,'' he responded to the lioness. ''That will scare the shit out of them. That's when I'll leave one alive to tell the story.''
When the monster heard this, she laughed before sniffing the air and coming to a sudden stop while questioning, 'Soldiers are close Master, shall we hunt them together?'
He grinned, a glint of excitent in his eyes, and replied, ''You take them from behind while I keep them distracted.''
The lioness agreed before vanishing into the underbrush as he followed suit. Minutes later, Atlas was in front of the second empire patrol and quickly used Void Step to block the soldier's path.
When the twenty Achaenids stopped moving and were bewildered by his sudden appearance, but when he dismissed his helt, they got angry as one of them exclaid, pointing a blade at him, ''Demon!''
Without waiting, Atlas stepped forward and cast several Void Smashes that slamd into the soldiers. This caused complete chaos as the shockwaves sent them flying in all directions as Nala attacked.
The monster pounced on a group of scared Achaendians and stored them apart with her razor-sharp claws. Atlas joined the fray and started cutting down the survivors, causing the ground to be covered in blood.
While catching his breath, he summoned the Void Ghouls and ordered them to drag the corpses back into the Otherworld to feed the monsters. The creepy humanoids rushed out of the portals and collected the bodies.
Nala padded over to him, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction as she spoke in a satisfied voice. 'That was fun. I took down eight of them.'
Atlas smiled when hearing the lioness's words while replying as he climbed onto her back, ''That's good, but there are hundreds more to kill along the way.''
Nala took off through the dense forest, her powerful strides weaving effortlessly between the trees. Eventually, she erged onto a secluded road, her sharp eyes noting the signs of frequent travel.
With caution, the Deathmaw Lion followed the path. As the outline of a fortress lood in the distance, she abruptly veered into the thick brush, her movents silent as she looked for cover.
Atlas stroked her while speaking in a quiet voice, ''Stay low, I want to check the place out before attacking.''
Following that, he glanced around and spotted a massive tree that overlooked the fortress causing him to point it out, ''Climb up there Nala, it will give us the perfect view.''
When the lioness heard this, she stalked through the trees until reached the giant one and quickly climbed up. Atlas held onto her fur until reaching the branch that allowed him to get off her back before scanning the empire's bastion in the north.
The fortress wasn't enormous, but it was formidable. High, sturdy walls rose around it, topped with nacing cannons pointed outward. Soldiers patrolled the battlents, scanning the surroundings for any sign of danger.
'This is going to be easy if we use the Terrasque's. They could smash through the wall and give the empire a shock,' he mushed with an excited smile.
Once coming up with an idea, Atlas dismissed Nala back to the Otherworld before entering it himself. When inside, he spotted the won preparing for a fight but wasn't done yet, which made him laugh.
'They are the sa in another world,' he thought.
The group bead when spotting him, but he quickly inford them of his plans. ''I'm going to unlock the next monster, which will help us attack the empire's castles and forts.''
Athyst was the first to comnt with a curious expression. ''Could we sneak up on them?''
''Yes, but where's the fun in that?'' Atlas replied with a sly grin, his tone teasing as he addressed the phoenix woman.
His expression grew more serious as he continued, ''They've got cannons on the walls. Even one lucky shot from those could damage any of us.''
They all nodded in understanding. Atlas settled down, making himself comfortable, before activating his Void Realm skill. In an instant, he appeared in the jungle and prepared to fight the World Eaters.
Seconds later, growls echoed through the air, and the first monster lunged from a nearby bush. Without hesitation, Atlas drew his weapon, slicing the creature down in one swift motion.
Before he could catch his breath, he unleashed a Void Blast, the azure projectile streaking through the air. When it collided with the next monster, it sent the creature soaring through the air, crashing into the ground.
Following that, Atlas continued fighting while blocking with Void Guard and retaliating with Void Wave, sending them skidding back. This allowed him to cut them down and dodge their bites.
He quickly backed off and cleared so space between them while checking on the monster total, which impressed him.
[Void Tarrasque -1000/1000]
[Void Shadow Tarrasque - 500/500]
[Void World-Eater - 249/250]
[????????????????????]
'Oh, only one left,' Atlas thought with an excited smile as the last World Eater appeared.
The monster lunged at him with a snarl, but Atlas swiftly dodged, his movents fluid and precise. In one seamless motion, he drove his blades deep into its side, then cast Void Bullets, sending the deadly energy coursing through the creature's body.
The monster shook as the blasts tore it apart from the inside out, and with a final, guttural gasp, it collapsed to the ground. Suddenly, a roar echoed through the jungle, vibrating the very air around him.
'Oh, the boss is ready, now let's go defeat it,' he thought while approaching the mountain he spotted in the distance.
