Artemis stared at the man who stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her which made her go stiff as he spoke in a loving voice, ''You look just like your mother my dear, it's good to see that you're finally happy.''
When she heard the old man's words she rembered the mystery of her mother's death which put her father in a deep depression until Anastasia appeared and chard the broken man.
This annoyed Artemis but when her Grandfathers next words shocked her, ''Your mother was killed by the enemy your lover is going up against, you will need the power of the Titans to be able to stand against them.''
Before she could question Typhon he placed a hand on her shoulder and spoke like a loving Grandfather, ''Go forth and help us with the darkness Granddaughter and that boy is the start of it all.''
Soon, a searing pain washed over Artemis's body, and in an instant, she was thrust back into the real world. She let out a piercing scream, startling the others. They stopped in their tracks, but she dropped to the ground, her muscles tensing as she growled low in her throat.
''Continue on,'' she snapped, her voice strained with urgency. ''The sa thing is happening to as it did with Grishna.''
Estelle and Nulia hesitated but when the explosions and screaming reached their ears it forced them to act. They barreled toward the city as the blonde started casting Light Blasts at the Achaendians on the wall.
Explosions erupted all across the enemy defences allowing them to get close and join Atlas in his attack. While the won did this Atlas reached Shadowfangs walls before using his claws to climb up.
When reaching the top he slaughtered any Achaendians he ca across, his tall form scared the soldiers causing them to flee but his claws turned the enemy into minceat before he lunged at a commander and tore his throat out.
Atlas was lost in the rage and kept seeing the dead bodies of the people, especially the children that haunted him. With that, he let out a horrifying roar before barreling into more soldiers.
He tore them up with ease but was forced to stop as dozens of Armored Golems slamd into another group of Achaendians. The monster crushed them with ease shocking Atlas but he sensed Estelle's mana seeping from them.
'Did she summon them to help?'
he mused with a big smile.
While thinking purple explosions erupted as Athyst arrived and started dive-bombing the cannons don't the walls. Atlas noticed she was a phoenix the size of Raymond and used her talons to destroy the siege weapon emplacents.
Following that he watched as she exploded which sent a wave of purple fire to spread out like a ring and burned hundreds of Achaendians to ash. Atlas continued attacking the soldiers while running down the city streets.
Shortly after that large boulders slamd into the empire's barracks causing explosions to erupt which sent debris flying everywhere. Atlas quickly climbed up the side of a church before reaching the bell tower.
'Oh wow, looks like the girls have had a boost in power.'
The vantage point he found allowed him to see a giant stone woman who resembled Artemis as she continued throwing boulders at the Achaendian camps causing complete chaos as they were instantly killed.
Atlas bead when seeing this as his anger faded but he still stayed in his Voidwalker form as Artemis charged at the city walls and shoulder barreled into it causing an explosion to ring out as the surrounding buildings were destroyed.
Just then, several massive projectiles struck her from behind, slamming into her with force. The impact sent her sprawling forward, and the shockwave reverberated, knocking her off her feet.
'What the hell was that?'
Atlas thought before noticing a smaller army approaching the city from behind.
Following that Artemis jumped up and rushed toward the newcors as they fired again but this ti she dodged the projectiles just as soone else leaped on the city walls causing Atlas's eyes to widen in surprise.
'Grishna!'
he thought in shock.
She was wearing a set of mysterious armor that radiated a powerful aura, making her appear even more formidable. The Orc woman, Grishna, leaped into the midst of a cluster of Achaendian soldiers, her presence alone causing them to falter.
Without hesitation, she unleashed a devastating assault, reducing the troops to nothing more than lifeless husks. Atlas stood in awe as Grishna wielded a colossal hamr, each swing obliterating her enemies in an instant.
The sheer force of her attacks sent shockwaves through the battlefield, followed by a thunderous boom that echoed far and wide. After seeing the three won fighting Atlas leaped off his vantage point.
He descended upon an Achaendian commander attempting to escape the city, just as a relentless army of Knight Golems surged through the breached walls. Amidst the chaos, Nulia charged forward, her blue eyes blazed with excitent.
While this happened Estelle's voice cut through the din, shouting commands to the monsters that obeyed her every word. Following this Atlas continued butchering the enemy soldiers until bodies lined the streets.
By the ti Atlas crossed paths with Athyst, both of them were exhausted. The purple-haired young woman was taking a mont to rest, her chest rising and falling with heavy breaths.
When she noticed him, a radiant smile spread across her face, ''That was exhausting,'' she said with a hint of happiness, ''but worth it. Those empire dogs have taken the lives of far too many Black Wolf demi-humans.''
Atlas nodded in agreent as he joined her while offering the phoenix woman a dumpling, ''Here, do you want one?''
Athyst took it with a smile, ''Thank you, my love,'' she said with a loving smile.
The two of them sat there eating as Artemis destroyed the Achandian army outside the city while Nulia, Estelle, and Grishna continued attacking any soldiers they found until none were left.
Atlas was exhausted due to using his Voidwalker form and slumped down but soon noticed an old wolf woman approaching them. He forced himself to sit up in case she tried to attack them but the stranger spoke, ''I can see your soul is hurting young man, I can also see the scars that cover your body. For saving our city from the empire I will heal you.''
His eyes narrowed causing the old woman to smile as she continued, ''I an you no harm, I noticed you were helping my people so I thought I'd return the favor.''
