Forsyx sat inside an empty room on the first floor of the guild office.

There was just a mat on the floor with all the potion bottles on top of it.

Forsyx looked at the potion bottles and then thought about the Master Butcher skill token.

Each of those tokens was far more valuable than these cheap potions. The only reason he gave them to Fakun was to show Roonie that he cared about Kiyon.

The one thing he liked to avoid was any misconception between him and Roonie.

He knew Roonie would eventually learn about the deal he made with the other three.

In that sense, he did not want to co off as soone who was just using the Kiyon guild.

Also, the Master Butcher skill token was great, but he didn’t need more than one, so it was better to give them to the guild than to earn so asly sum.

In the coming days, he needed Kiyon for a lot of stuff, so it would be better to create a solid image of himself in other minds.

Forsyx shook his head and stopped thinking about other stuff.

He took a deep breath, and the next mont, he jumped lightly and transford into the pipler bird.

Not even a mont later, he switched to a green goblin while rolling on the floor.

At the end of his roll, he switched to a snake and slithered back to his starting position before returning to human form and repeating the process.

He wasn’t just simply switching forms, but also practicing the movents where he thought he might require each form during combat.

Not even half a dozen seconds in, and his mana was already about to hit bottom.

Forsyx picked up a low-level potion, removed its cap, and chugged half of it in one swift motion.

Ding!

[Consumption of regular mana recovery low-grade potion detected!

No direct combat detected. The mana recovery effect is in motion.]

Forsyx smiled and continued switching forms, taking one sip at a ti.

In Apex Ascension, there was a limit on the use of potions during direct combat.

You had to stay out of direct combat for at least a minute before any potion’s effect would kick in.

Basically, for one entire minute, you had to avoid attacking, using any skills, or getting hit.

This made potions a good way to recover fast, but not sothing players could exploit mid-combat.

It didn’t take long for Forsyx to empty the first potion.

The entire low potion only gave him 200 mana, which lasted less than a minute before he had to consu the second potion.

After consuming almost half of them, Forsyx started to feel dizzy, and a burning sensation began to spread through his veins.

It wasn’t long before blue cracks began appearing all over his body.

He felt hundreds of hot needles poking through his body.

While in pain, he just focused on switching forms and trying to control his mana.

After consuming more than three-fourths of the potions, he finally got control over his mana flow, but by that ti, his entire body had already turned light blue with multiple dark blue lines across it.

Forsyx channeled his entire mana toward his brain.

Not even a mont later, he felt like his brain was expanding, trying to burst out of his skull.

Even in that extre pain, Forsyx did not lose focus and channeled his mana right into the central core of his brain.

By that ti, everything around him had blurred as he kept switching between his four forms.

Not long after, as he switched from snake to human, he heard a breaking sound.

It was like sothing far-off had broken inside his head.

The next mont, he lost control over his body as it floated a few inches into the air.

Both his eyes started shining with white light, while blood began seeping from his nose and ears.

He felt sothing intense flowing through his head and down into his body.

When it passed through his eyes, he lost his vision; next went his sense of sll, then his hearing.

In this darkness, all he could see were red notifications popping up around him.

[Warning! Extre stress detected.]

The only feeling he had left was the energy spreading through his hands and legs.

It spread throughout his body, and then, with a snap, recoiled back toward his heart.

He felt a montary, intense pain inside his chest, and then all his senses returned.

He dropped to the ground.

Everything he had gone through made him stumble a bit, and then a bunch of blue notifications popped up before him.

But right at the top, a red notification appeared:

[Extre stress detected! Ergency exit initiated.

Player Forsyx will be forcefully logged out in 30... 29... 28...]

Not waiting for the forced logout, Forsyx just mumbled, "Logged out."

The next mont, he was back in the darkness, and soon he regained his senses in his dorm room bed.

Veyne pulled off his headgear and wobbled to the washroom. Not even a second after he entered, he started puking.

"Uayh! Uaya!"

He vomited up all the food he had eaten in the morning.

Even after puking, the world around him was still spinning.

It was so bad that he had to sit on the bathroom floor for a long ti before he regained any sense of balance.

Though he was out of the ga, his head still throbbed like soone was banging on his skull from all sides, trying to shrink it.

Or maybe it was the opposite.

He stopped thinking about the pain and recalled the last scene before logging out.

Not only did he manage to survive, but he burst out laughing while rolling on the floor. "Haha, fck yeah."

The biggest reason for his excitent was the presence of a golden notification.

Just thinking about the content of that notification made his heart race.

But after a mont, he cald down.

That golden notification made it clear that anyone else had not yet discovered the mana burst in the ga.

It was his first big achievent in the ga, though stolen, but who cared?

He shook his head and decided not to focus too much on the ga.

The mana-burning thod had almost pushed his ntal state to the limit.

Even with 50% pain synchronization, the pain from all over his body had been too much.

Though he endured it, his heart rate had skyrocketed while doing so.

He really needed to do so cardio and prep work to prepare his body.

Veyne looked at the ss and decided to clean up and take a bath.

After spending the next half hour, he walked out of his room with still-wet hair.

He had barely taken a few steps when he saw all three of his dorm mates walking out the door.

Markus noticed him and asked, "Oh, hey Veyne. What happened, you’re out so early today?"

Veyne nodded. "Nothing much, just a bit tired after constant grinding. What about you guys? Where are you going?"

Henry said from behind, "Oh, we just finished our project, so in celebration, everyone decided to party. You want to join?"

Veyne shrugged. "Nah, you guys enjoy."

The three of them nodded like they had expected that answer. They said goodbye, leaving Veyne for so quiet ti.

Veyne just slumped on the sofa for a long ti before deciding to take a stroll around the college.

He picked up his phone, put on his run-down shoes, and walked out of the dorm room.

It wasn’t long before he was out of the dorm building, but this ti, it was much different from the night before.

It was still 5 p.m., and being the weekend, the college was full of students busy in their own world.

Veyne road around the campus periter for a few laps before deciding to go sowhere quiet to eat.

As he moved past the college gate, he unknowingly walked toward his favorite noodle shop.

As he saw the small roadside stall full of people, he couldn’t help but gulp down his saliva.

It had been so long since he had eaten those noodles.

Not wasting any ti, he placed his order and sat on one of the empty stools around the stall.

Not long after, the waiter handed him his order.

Just one bite and he felt like he was back in his past life. A few fond mories flashed through his mind.

It was like he was reliving those monts.

Bite after bite, he took his ti enjoying every piece of noodle.

He didn’t stop at just the noodles. He road around trying different foods to his heart’s content, as this was his last day near the college.

While he was enjoying all that, unknowingly, his mind wandered back to the ga, especially the special egg requirent.

He started researching ways he could complete those quests.

...

While Forsyx was busy scrolling through his phone, sowhere in the ga...

Inside a forest littered with player corpses, both Danish and Luka held Rodium, while Elish pulled his nails and asked, "Do you have that egg?"
