Forsyx opened his eyes inside a random alley next to the slum area within the city.
There was a lot he wanted to do, but first, he decided to et the guild.
He was never interested in leading the Kiyon guild, but that did not an he was free from the guild, either.
The guild had to survive till the big surge.
As he walked to the middle area, he felt a tension and excitent among the common players.
He spotted a dozen groups talking about the Kiyon and Spink guilds.
Most of them were giggling about how Spink was finally going to crush the Kiyon guild this ti.
He couldn’t help but shake his head. Not only in strength, but even in reputation, the Kiyon guild was at rock bottom.
Soon, he spotted the guild office, but there were a few other troubleso guests already there.
He saw two luxurious carriages with a dozen guards standing before the guild office door.
From the looks of it, so big nobles from the core area had decided to visit them.
Forsyx pushed through the crowd that gathered around the area.
As he moved past the others and walked toward the guild office, two guards pointed their spears at him. "Stop right there."
Forsyx just pointed to his guild badge.
The guards froze there.
Not caring about them, he walked into the guild office.
There, he spotted Zack standing before two middle-aged noblen.
Two knights were standing behind both noblen, radiating a killing aura.
They just glanced at him and then focused back on their masters and Zack, who was busily explaining sothing to both n.
At this, soone called him from the side. "Sir Forsyx, here."
He turned to the side and saw a lot of guild mbers standing around different corners of the room.
The one who called him was Porkis, who was standing in the right corner with a few other players who had made that big sacrifice.
He joined them and asked, "What’s going on here?"
Porkis motioned toward the noblen. "Sir, those two noblen ca here to investigate the recent bombing incident."
Forsyx raised his eyebrow. "They ca to our guild office for the investigation? Why?"
Porkis just looked at him and said, "Maybe because we were the last ones to visit the Spinks."
Forsyx clicked his tongue. "No, that’s not how things work."
At this, one of Lorim’s guards, who was also present, added, "Sir, the one on the left is from the House of Sire, and the second one is from the House of Veir."
"And?"
"Sir, these two noble houses are very close to Spink. That’s why they’re here—to make things difficult for us."
Forsyx narrowed his eyes. "Wasn’t Spink about to move out of the city? Then why are these guys still supporting them?"
The guy shook his head. "I’m not sure, sir. But logically, Spink must have promised them sothing. That’s why they’re here."
Forsyx rubbed his eyes.
He was expecting Spink to retaliate, but them having the ability to influence these noble houses was sothing beyond his expectations.
Well, if he were in their shoes, he would’ve done the sa. After all, killing mbers of the Kiyon guild was a short-term loss that wouldn’t affect Kiyon in the long term.
But having two noble houses standing against you in the city—that was a big hit for sure.
Forsyx looked at the guy and asked, "What’s your na?"
The guy replied without delay, "Ukatu."
"Okay, Ukatu. Care to tell the NPCs’ power structure side of Chimika City?"
Ukatu nodded his head and pointed one finger. "Sir, first would be the ruling household, the House of Branneth. The leader of this household is a baron as well as the current mayor of this city."
Forsyx nodded. He knew that all these ruling households had royal family backing and these fancy titles.
He nodded, "Okay, then how many big noble houses?"
Ukatu showed him six fingers. "Six big titled households and then their mid-level and small households."
"So out of seven, two are working against us, right?"
Ukatu nodded. "Well, things aren’t so great with the other households either, but I’d say for now, just those two houses are completely opposing us."
Just then, Forsyx saw them standing up.
He saw Zack bowing down to them, but they didn’t care and just walked out of the guild office.
It didn’t take long before both carriages and the guards in front of their guild moved away.
The mont those carriages left, he saw Zack punch the wall and then walk up to the second floor in an animated manner.
Lorim and another guy also rushed behind him.
Forsyx glanced at the other guild mbers and saw them whispering among themselves.
Not caring much about them, he also took the stairs and walked up to the second floor.
Right at the top edge of the staircase, he saw Lorim and the other guy standing there.
The mont they saw him, Lorim just nodded, and the second guy bowed slightly. "I am Fakun, the current vice leader of the Kiyon guild. Good to et you, sir."
Forsyx nodded and asked, "Did Roonie talk to you guys?"
Fakun nodded. "Yes, the big boss instructed us to follow your lead."
Lorim said from the side, "It’s better to talk inside the guild master’s office." She turned around and started walking toward the guild leader’s office.
Not caring about her attitude, Forsyx just followed her toward the guild master’s room that was just a few steps away from the stairs.
She pushed open the door and walked inside.
What he saw on the other side made him freeze for a mont.
He had expected the guild master’s room to be full of luxury, but the reality far surpassed his expectations.
He found Zack sitting on a massive leather chair in front of a massive white table made of so exotic white wood.
On the other side of the table were two mini sofa-like chairs, all wrapped in leather.
Behind these, he found a two-sofa setup that ford an L-shape in the far corner.
Up on the ceiling was a chandelier full of different gems.
Even the entire floor was covered in thick, furry carpet that gave a padded, bouncy feeling.
The walls around the guild office were all covered with different pictures, all with gold fras around them.
He just looked at Zack and then at the others. He asked the first question that ca to his mind: "Does Roonie even know about this stuff?"
A brief silence followed. Nobody answered.
