Glendale’s adventurer guild is huge compared to those in the other kingdoms.
To think that I’m one of the top brass adventurers there.
I, the guy who already belongs to the veteran’s club, am a family man, too, with a wife and two sons.

There are tis when I receive commissions to hunt monsters, but I no longer go to places that were as dangerous as before.

I’m getting paid a hefty sum, so this is way better than having to go out and hunt monsters.

For that reason, I did training for the rookies and also stood as their proctors during the advancent examination.
I don’t cut corners when I accept a commission request, of course.
If the rookies face danger during the drills and exams, I put my life on the line to protect them, and I also scold them earnestly if they fool around
Death awaits those who underestimate monsters.
There were also so guys who quit because of the harsh training.
That’s a good thing for , though.
An adventurer’s job requires him to put his life on the line, after all.
It’s been a while since I was commissioned to be a proctor in an advancent examination.
It was an F to E rank advancent exam.
To be specific, the commission was to be the proctor of Halt and his comrades — they’re recent recruits — in their advancent examination.
I also know about Halt and the others quite well.
They are rookies, and yet they take the initiative to take on commissions like cleaning the underground canals — jobs that normal rookies tend to avoid.
Aside from that, they would normally accept missions in 5 parties, so they have a total of 20 people, more or less. Those are the reasons why they’re the hot topic in the Guild.
Not only that, there are many gorgeous beauties among their mbers, so I thought they would cause trouble sooner or later.
There were a lot of cases when rookies flaunted being accompanied by beauties, trampling on the pride of their senior adventurers.
Basically, I don’t ddle with the troubles that happen outside the guild, but I often interfere if a quarrel breaks out within the Guild.
I expected Halt’s party to be that way, too.
However, strangely enough, the adventurers around them didn’t harass Halt’s parties.
I don’t know why, but even I didn’t have any urge to talk to the won following him.
They are beauties alright when viewed from afar, but when they approach, I lost all desire to call out to them.
I wonder why?
…Well, I have my own wife, so it doesn’t matter.
Alright, Halt and his comrades will take the advancent exam tomorrow.
Originally, goblins are captured for the exam, and the adventurers will be evaluated based on whether they can slay the goblin, and whether they coordinate well with their teammates, but apparently, these guys already destroyed a herd of goblins.
Besides, they took care of several commissions that other rookies won’t even tough, so the receptionist ladies view them favorably.
Most of the commissions that rookies avoid pay poorly in exchange of getting many guild points.
By the way, it’s more convenient to the Guild if the adventurers who preferred gaining guild points instead of getting paid.
With all of these conditions, the Guild Master directly gave the order that Halt’s team be given an easy (sli) exam.
I did think that having sli for an exam was going too easy on them, but I also thought it’s a great idea to just have them rise in rank without taking the exam.
That’s because the vibe I’m getting from them is different from the ordinary adventurers; they are probably way stronger.
This is just a gut feeling of mine, but…I probably won’t win against Halt. Even if there’s a hundred , it’s still impossible.
Well, that’s just a gut feeling.
Forget what I said just now.
Anyway, I went all the way to the mountain near the Royal Capital to search for slis, when I discovered 5 jiggling slis, as if screaming “capture ”.
Halt’s team will be taking the exam with 5 parties. One party, one sli…Yup, looks great.
These slis already noticed , but they didn’t move, nor did they attempt to escape.
Slis are monsters that aren’t easy to read what they’re thinking, but there are also rare instances like this, when everything was confusing.
Normally, I would charge to the monsters, weaken them before sealing them to the scrolls, but —
“...is this for real?”
I sealed the 5 slis, and none of them put up a fight.
I already know that there are monsters who allow themselves to be tad without any resistance, but I never heard of any monster that can be sealed into the scroll without receiving any damage.
Unlike ‘Tas’ that require agreent between the contractor and the slave, there’s no rit in sealing the monsters into the scrolls.
Moreover, these slis seed to have entered the scrolls voluntarily as can be…

Well, it’s great that I finished my work earlier than expected.
I want to hurry up and go ho to see my sons’ faces.
I retrieved the scroll that contained the slis, and headed ho, back to where my family is waiting.
