The woman's lips twitched into sothing like a smile, though it didn't reach her eyes. Without warning, she moved.

Her speed was impossible to track. One mont, she was standing still, and the next, she was right in front of Maris. Before Maris could react, the woman's arm shot out, and a vine-like whip lashed at her.

Maris's instincts kicked in. She raised a barrier of light magic just in ti. The whip collided with the shield, but instead of bouncing off, the whip wrapped around the barrier, constricting it like a snake tightening its grip.

Maris gritted her teeth, concentrating. She could feel the pressure from the whip increasing, but her magic held steady.

The woman pulled back with a flick of her wrist, and the whip lashed again, faster this ti. The light barrier flickered, weakening under the relentless attack. It was clear that the woman wasn't just fast—she had power behind her strikes.

Maris's eyes glowed with determination as she pushed against the vine. With a burst of light magic, she forced the whip to loosen and fall away, but before she could take another step, the woman moved again.

This ti, the woman didn't use just the vine. She summoned more vines from the ground, twisting around her arms like living weapons, ready to strike again. Each vine was like an extension of herself, moving in sync with her every motion.

Maris braced herself, summoning more light to protect her. But this ti, she didn't only create a barrier. She bent the light, twisting it into sharp beams, ready to strike back.

"You'll have to do better than that," Maris muttered to herself, trying to anticipate the woman's next move.

The woman smiled, and for the first ti, there was a hint of amusent in her cold expression.

"You think you can defeat with your tricks?" she said.

Before Maris could react, the woman struck again. But this ti, the vines didn't just lash at her. They shot forward like arrows, aiming for Maris's legs. The vines were sharp, their edges glinting with a deadly light. Explore more at empire

Maris leaped back, barely avoiding the attack. She couldn't keep dodging forever. The woman was fast, and her vines seed endless. Maris needed to fight back—properly.

She reached deep within herself, focusing her light magic. Her entire body glowed with an ethereal light, and for a mont, the labyrinth itself seed to tremble.

With a shout, Maris released a burst of magic, sending a wave of light crashing toward the woman. The vines around her scattered like leaves in the wind. But as the light hit the woman, sothing strange happened. The vines seed to regenerate, growing back as fast as they were destroyed.

The woman tilted her head, watching the wave of magic with a smile that was half amusent, half sothing darker. "Impressive," she said. "But you can't stop what's already here."

Maris narrowed her eyes, realizing that this fight wasn't just about strength—it was about control. The labyrinth itself seed to be helping the woman, feeding her vines, making her stronger with each attack.

But Maris wasn't one to back down. She gritted her teeth and focused on her light magic. She knew she could bend reality with it, twist it to her will.

"Let's see how you handle this," Maris muttered, gathering all her magic in one concentrated burst.

She lifted her hand, and in that instant, the light around her grew blindingly bright. The vines froze, suspended in the air. Then, with a flick of her fingers, Maris sent a beam of light directly at the woman.

The beam struck the woman's chest, and for a mont, it seed like she was going to be overwheld. But the vines reacted quickly, wrapping around her in defense, creating a shield just in ti.

The woman gritted her teeth but stood firm. "Not bad," she said. "But I'll show you my power."

With a swift motion, the woman sent a shockwave through the air. The vines shot forward again, this ti faster and more aggressive, forcing Maris to dodge, her magic flaring in response.

She couldn't keep up with the constant onslaught of vines. Her light magic was strong, but this woman was relentless.

Finally, Maris stopped retreating and turned to face her opponent head-on. With a deep breath, she let her light magic flow freely, enveloping her entire body in a radiant aura. The vines recoiled as if they could feel the imnse power surging from her.

"This ends now," Maris said firmly.

The woman paused, eyeing her with curiosity. "You're stronger than I thought. But you'll need more than light to defeat ."

Maris only smiled. "I'm not just using light."

She concentrated on her magic, bending it to her will. This ti, she wasn't just sending out light blasts. She was changing the very fabric of reality itself, warping the labyrinth's power around her. The air shimred with the energy she was channeling.

Before the woman could react, Maris unleashed the full force of her magic. The vines around her shattered into nothingness, and the woman was montarily caught off guard.

For a mont, the labyrinth seed to hold its breath. The vines that had once been the woman's weapon now lay still, scattered across the ground.

The woman blinked, her cold expression unchanged. But there was a glint of surprise in her eyes. "I see… You've bent the very fabric of this place."

Maris nodded. "It's not just light magic, it's the ability to reshape reality. You can't control everything here."

"We'll see about that."

And with that, the battle was far from over. Maris and the mysterious woman continue the fight.

Maris noticed that, the area around them, supported this woman fully. Every plant, every vine, every flower, every animals, even tiny insects supported this mysterious woman as if this woman was owner of this world.

Such terrifying power, at this mont, Maris realise, that... No matter what, she couldn't defeat this woman.

This woman, currently, just testing her.
