Chapter 971: Chapter 970 Sick (1)
Wen Chi didn’t know how long he had been standing there, his eyes gleaming as he watched her, seeming sowhat desolated.
“You’re back,” Gu Huanhuan greeted him first.
“Yeah,” but upon seeing the chips in her hand, his expression turned sour.
Gu Huanhuan wondered whether she had provoked him today? He had upset her yesterday, and she hadn’t even settled the score with him yet.
On the coffee table lay chips, cookies, yogurt, a variety of nuts, and so fruit, arranged rather haphazardly. Gu Huanhuan noticed him eyeing the snacks and thought to herself that he probably beca upset seeing these so-called junk foods because, being a doctor, he always paid great attention to his diet.
He usually wouldn’t even glance at these snacks. Gu Huanhuan felt like she had been caught red-handed. She waved her hand at him, “Do you want so too, Hubby?”
His face still darkened, and his voice ca out sowhat brusque, “Don’t eat snacks at night, they’re bad for your health.”
“Oh, I know, but I just felt like eating them today, don’t worry, I’ll only have a little, it’s been a long ti since I last indulged,” she had been cautious not to eat these things during filming, to look good on cara, and took the chance to let loose for once today.
The audience’s eyes are unforgiving, even if you gain just a little weight, they would exaggerate it infinitely, as if it was unforgivable.
So, Gu Huanhuan had always been quite disciplined, but at ho, she wanted to indulge herself.
For a food lover, the mouth is more honest than the heart.
Wen Chi narrowed his eyes slightly, his tone taking on a hint of grinding teeth, “Do you have any idea what the consequences of eating snacks can be?”
Uh…
Gu Huanhuan felt a bit confused by his comnt.
She was dazed for a while before she could find her voice.
“They contain preservatives, which aren’t good for your health,” Wen Chi analyzed professionally.
“Got it,” Gu Huanhuan made a face at him, annoyed. His words had taken all the pleasure out of eating for her.
This ti Wen Chi nodded in satisfaction and pursed his lips, saying no more as he headed straight back to his room.
He had a habit of changing out of his hospital clothes when he got ho, and then putting on howear.
Gu Huanhuan stared at his retreating figure, feeling a chill of aloofness. She pursed her lips, thinking having a doctor as a hubby was such a pain.
He was extrely picky about food.
Oh well, there’s still so much left, not wanting to waste it, she decided to have a bit more. So, Gu Huanhuan sat back down, opened the bag of nuts, longing for the broad beans she had craved for a while and had trouble finding.
Gu Huanhuan was blissfully eating away, but she started to suffer in the latter part of the night. Her stomach suddenly began to hurt; her entire abdon felt as if it were churning tumultuously, causing her to break out in a sweat.
She writhed in bed, rolling around, while continuous moans escaped her lips.
Her abnormal state finally alard Wen Chi. He hastily turned on the bedside lamp to find her forehead drenched in cold sweat, her face pale, and her expression contorted.
He couldn’t help but draw in a sharp breath and promptly propped up Gu Huanhuan, “What’s wrong? Huanhuan? Where does it hurt?”
“My stomach… it’s killing ,” Gu Huanhuan managed to say laboriously, the pain making it impossible for her to articulate her thoughts.
Wen Chi suspected it was probably because she ate too many snacks at night. When he ca out from his room, he saw that half of the snacks on the coffee table were gone and knew she wouldn’t have heeded his words; she always had to learn her lesson the hard way.
“Relax, I’ll take you to the hospital right away,” Wen Chi said as he lifted her and moved toward the door.
