943 942 Is he really the CEO?

Days passed, and Shu Pan had already been working at Shengtian Corporation for nearly half a month. She learned quickly and was diligent, so she soon got the hang of her new job.

During this ti, she had not encountered any other senior executives.

One day, the manager of her administrative departnt called an ergency eting. Everyone looked at each other, wondering what had happened. Why the urgency?

At the eting, the manager reminded everyone to be on their best behavior, as the CEO would be visiting each departnt to inspect the work. If anyone didn't want to be packing their bags and leaving, they should put away their phones and focus on their work—this was no joke.

Many of the veteran employees had been with Shengtian for years and were very familiar with the CEO's leadership style. The online rumors were true, indeed, Lu Lei was always very strict about work, and many managers had been scolded by him until they were red in the face, utterly embarrassed.

Everyone was on high alert, and as Shu Pan was new to the job, like a clueless little rookie, she hadn't had the chance to et the CEO and, therefore, had never personally experienced the incidents ntioned in the rumors.

But seeing everyone so tense, she didn't dare let her guard down.

It wasn't that she was afraid of eting the CEO—after all, she wasn't new to the workforce, and her own hubby was a big-ti CEO—but still, she thought it best to take things seriously to avoid being fired on the spot.

Shu Pan took the manager's words to heart, silently vowing to do her job well.

After the eting dispersed, Sister Zhao quietly ca over to her spot and whispered, "Shu Pan, brace yourself, the CEO is coming. Show your best."

After she left, Shu Pan saw her female colleagues hastily entering the washroom, one after another applying makeup, touching up, and then erging each more stunning than the last. So even unbuttoned the top button of their blouses, leaving Shu Pan utterly flabbergasted.

Wasn't this a bit too brazen? This was an office, after all.

Shu Pan could never quite understand such behavior from them.

"Shu Pan, why don't you go freshen up a bit?" A colleague noticed her standing there, lost in thought, and couldn't help but remind her.

Shu Pan smiled and then shook her head, "I'll leave the opportunity to you guys."

The colleague playfully retorted, "You're such a tease," before walking away.

When the manager ca in, it was as if everyone had instantly changed faces, quickly becoming much more reserved.

Shu Pan sat quietly at her desk, working calmly, when soone suddenly said, "Director Lu is about to reach our departnt."

Everyone invested themselves more intently in their work, hoping to leave a good impression on the CEO.

Suddenly, a tall man dressed in an expensive black suit walked towards them with a vigorous stride.

He had long, arching eyebrows that extended into his temples, starry eyes, a high nose bridge, and thin lips that gave him a sharp look, while his ink-black eyes were cold and ice-like, with not a hint of warmth.

As he entered the room, the anxiety among the employees escalated.

The manager hurriedly went to receive him and then clapped twice, signaling for everyone to quiet down, stop their tasks, and listen to what the CEO had to say.

Shu Pan was seated toward the edge of the room, and her view wasn't very clear.

When she finally got a good look at the newcor, she gasped in surprise, "Heaven's sake, is he really the CEO?"

Although she had her suspicions, the confirmation still shocked her. Would he rember what had happened a while ago?

She had criticized his daughter, and by extension, critiqued him. Surely such an important figure wouldn't hold a grudge, would he?

The more Shu Pan thought about it, the more nervous she beca, wishing she could find sowhere to hide.
