Chapter 928: Chapter 927 Helplessness
“Space?” Gu Shaoting heard this word and bristled again.
Because now Shu Pan told him she needed space; deep down, she probably felt he was binding her and depriving her of freedom.
“Yes, actually, sotis won are just being difficult. Why not agree, let her go out and explore? Only with sothing to compare can she realize how good you are to her,” He Ming persuaded.
“But the world is full of dangers. What if she gets bullied and I’m none the wiser?” Gu Shaoting said, concerned.
“That’s easy to resolve. Just arrange for soone to watch over her and report any problems to you. Wouldn’t that solve it?” He Ming offered advice.
Gu Shaoting nodded, thinking it was a good idea.
“Hmm, we’ll see,” Gu Shaoting said and took another sip of his drink.
Seeing Gu Shaoting’s willingness to compromise, He Ming finally breathed a sigh of relief. He could now return ho and explain things to his own wife.
The two silently drank a few more glasses, talked about other things, and then left.
Having drunk alcohol, they decided to use a designated driver.
When Gu Shaoting returned ho, the room was still deathly quiet. He frowned, feeling a bit sullen. Why was he being treated like this now? Even the force with which he shut the door was a bit strong.
Shu Pan heard the noise and ca out of the bedroom.
She saw Gu Shaoting’s face a little flushed as he lay on the couch, and she could sll the alcohol as well.
Drinking again, Shu Pan felt helpless.
This was where communication failed.
However, noticing he seed to be in discomfort, she still went to the kitchen and prepared a cup of honey water for him.
In fact, the mont Shu Pan approached, Gu Shaoting knew. But he didn’t know how to face Shu Pan just yet, especially since he had just co from thinking about leaving her.
With a cup of honey water in her hands, Shu Pan ca to his side and said softly, “Here, drink so water.”
Gu Shaoting was indifferent. So Shu Pan, with effort, propped him up and brought the water to his lips to feed him.
Gu Shaoting certainly enjoyed this care; after drinking a few sips, he felt much better.
After he finished the water, as Shu Pan was about to leave, he abruptly grabbed her hand, his eyes unopened, then muttered at the corner of his mouth, “Honey… my dear…”
Shu Pan thought he had woken up, but he hadn’t; he was probably just talking in his sleep. He called out a few tis, but that was all.
Shu Pan looked at him for a mont, and then went back to the kitchen to wash the cup.
As soon as she left, Gu Shaoting opened his dark eyes, his deep gaze sowhat hazy.
He had tried to show her kindness; why hadn’t she taken the hint? He was just pretending to be drunk to give in.
When Shu Pan ca out and saw Gu Shaoting on the couch, she didn’t say a word and just returned to the bedroom.
Gu Shaoting felt disheveled. Why wasn’t it going as expected? Wasn’t she supposed to help him back to the room, or wake him to take a bath and rest?
What was happening now? Treating him coldly, letting him fend for himself, not caring?
Suddenly Gu Shaoting felt very dejected. Shu Pan hadn’t been like this before, she had always been so attentive to him. How could she change so quickly, as if she were a completely different person?
Had Shu Pan changed? Did she no longer love him?
He began to think of thousands of possibilities in his mind, all ending in nothingness. He couldn’t fathom the thoughts of won.
He sat up, not imdiately going to the bedroom but quietly reflecting for a while.
Had he and Shu Pan had an issue recently? Perhaps he had been too busy and overlooked her feelings.
He hadn’t expected the Shu Pan of now to be so stubborn, so unwavering.
