“If everyone was as sensible as you, I wouldn’t have to worry so much. But then again, you’re not that sensible too when you got married and got pregnant so hastily.” Sister Gao said unhappily before she waved her hand to dismiss the awkward-looking young talent.
Gu Huanhuan sat down opposite Sister Gao and said, “What’s wrong? Who upset our Sister Gao? Are they courting death?”
“Sigh. Now that you are taking a break, the bosses asked to take on two newcors, both of whom are spoiled brats with powerful backers. And you know my temper…” Sister Gao sighed. “By the way, you have probably passed your first trister and your pregnancy is more stable now. Would you like to take on any jobs?”
Sister Gao looked at Gu Huanhuan expectantly, hoping to get a nod.
From pregnancy to giving birth, Gu Huanhuan would probably be out of action for at least a year but her career was currently on the rise. She was very popular now and attracted attention wherever she went. It would be a pity if she quit now.
Even if she didn’t act or beco the female lead of a movie, it was still necessary for her to remain in the lilight to a certain extent. If she went into hibernation and only showed her face after giving birth, the public would probably have forgotten about her. After all, newcors join the entertainnt industry every day. “Are there any suitable roles?” Gu Huanhuan asked casually. She wasn’t actually that ambitious and hadn’t thought about her long-term prospect as an artiste. She joined the entertainnt industry purely out of interest back then and there were certain activities tied to every life stage. She had many roles to play in real life and she was now playing the role of a mother. She really didn’t care that much if the public forgot about her. She would be fine.
Sister Gao saw her lack of interest and knew that she wasn’t in the mood to work.
“Why don’t I set you up for so advertisents or magazine shoots?” Sister Gao asked.
Gu Huanhuan didn’t want to dampen Sister Gao’s enthusiasm when she saw her look of anticipation but she had promised Wen Chi to stay ho until the baby arrived.
She felt a little torn, so she said, “I’ll discuss with Wen Chi when I get ho. It shouldn’t be a problem if the job isn’t too tiring.”
“Never mind. Maybe you’re happy go lucky. Unexpected surprises and gains sotis find you when you don’t care.” Sister Gao felt that Gu Huanhuan was an artiste with real skills. She would probably still be famous if she made a coback.
“Take good care of yourself and the baby. Forget about what I said.” Sister Gao sighed. She wouldn’t want to be responsible for anything bad happening to Gu Huanhuan either.
Gu Huanhuan nodded, feeling a little guilty inside.
Wen Chi was already ho when Gu Huanhuan arrived ho.
“Where did you go? Why didn’t you call to pick you up?” Wen Chi said dotingly.
“Nowhere. I just dropped by the office. I was bored from staying ho all the ti.” Gu Huanhuan said coquettishly.
“Sorry for the trouble.” Wen Chi hugged her.
“It’s all your fault. I don’t want to talk to you anymore.” Gu Huanhuan made a fist and punched Wen Chi playfully in the chest.
Wen Chi smiled as he held her tiny fist and pulled her to sit on the sofa. He found her look amusing and teased, “Yes, it’s all my fault. But please don’t ignore , baby.”
“Hmph.” Gu Huanhuan snorted and struggled out of his arms. “I’m going to take a shower first. I’m sweaty.”
Wen Chi looked at her. Gu Huanhuan’s skin got more and more radiant after she got pregnant; she looked very lively.
