When Gu Huanhuan saw Sister Gao, she had just finished a phone call.
“Huanhuan, great news! I communicated with Director Zheng. He wants you to go for a screen test tomorrow. The filming for ‘Princess of Liancheng’ is almost set, just waiting for the lead roles to be cast. You’ve rarely done period dramas, so this is a fantastic opportunity. “OK,” Gu Huanhuan agreed. Sister Gao knew her well and always gave precise reminders.
“There’s a new ‘princess’ at the company. Have you t her?” Sister Gao asked.
“Mm-hmm, we just had a chat,” Gu Huanhuan replied, frowning slightly. If Sister Gao specifically ntioned soone, it usually wasn’t a small matter.
“Stay away from her. She’s the new favorite of the company’s vice president. Since he has a family, they’re keeping it low-key. Be mindful,” Sister Gao, a PR expert with well-connected sources, warned her.
“Oh, no wonder she’s so arrogant,” Gu Huanhuan scoffed.
“Yeah, but she does have so popularity. She’s just relying on her looks and voice to grab attention—a vase with no real talent. She won’t last,” Sister Gao observed, having seen many like her co and go quickly.
“Don’t worry. I don’t like getting involved in such ssy affairs anyway,” Gu Huanhuan assured. Since getting married, she was even more cautious about her actions and words, knowing any slip could make headlines and affect her family.
After chatting for a while, Gu Huanhuan decided to go ho and quietly study the script. She felt she hadn’t quite grasped the princess’s psychological changes yet.

Gu Huanhuan was thrilled and imdiately shared the news with Wen Chi.
Her joy was palpable in her voice. Since he was still out of town and couldn’t celebrate with her, Wen Chi could only express his happiness over the phone.
Soon, the opening ceremony was held. When Gu Huanhuan saw Qin Wan’er on set, she was montarily stunned, marveling at Qin Wan’er’s resourcefulness.
Director Zheng was known for his impartiality and rarely cast “flower vase” actresses. That Qin Wan’er could be here likely ant there was pressure from the higher-ups.
Her assistant quietly approached her and said, “She went to see the general manager and quickly secured a role in the drama. I heard she’s playing the princess’s sister, and you two are love rivals.”
The assistant was well-inford, making Gu Huanhuan feel like she was the only one out of the loop.
“It’s fine,” Gu Huanhuan responded with an indifferent smile.
As long as she wasn’t provoked, she wouldn’t start any trouble.
