The next day, Shu Pan took the day off early and went to pick up Ye Xiaong. When she saw Xiaong, she noticed a faint hint of dark circles under her eyes.
“Xiaong, were you so excited last night that you couldn’t sleep?” Shu Pan teased.
“It’s nerves, worrying about everything,” Ye Xiaong replied with a worried look.
“You always tend to overthink things,” Shu Pan said helplessly, though she understood Xiaong’s concerns.
At the hospital, despite arriving early, it was already crowded. Shu Pan asked Xiaong to sit down while she went to get her an appointnt with a specialist.
As Xiaong looked around, she saw pregnant won everywhere, their faces radiating happiness. She couldn’t help but smile; if she were truly pregnant, her smile might be even brighter than theirs.
After so effort, Shu Pan managed to secure an appointnt, but they still had to wait their turn.
“Girl, what am I going to do? I’m so nervous. Do you think sothing bad might happen?” Xiaong’s mind was in turmoil.
“Nothing will happen, everything will be fine,” Shu Pan reassured her quickly.
Xiaong was truly anxious. Last night, she had been alternating between laughter and seriousness, leaving He Ming puzzled. He had asked her about it, but she just shook her head and said, “It’s nothing.”
She had almost told He Ming at one point but ultimately decided against it, fearing that the greater the hope, the greater the disappointnt.
Unconsciously, she placed her hand on her belly and silently thought,
“Mommy’s little angel, are you really here?”
“Number 12, Ye Xiaong,” the system called out just as Xiaong was lost in thought.
Shu Pan heard it and ca over to support her.
Xiaong couldn’t help but feel a little exasperated. “Girl, you don’t need to be nervous either. I can walk by myself; my belly is flat. If you co over to help , people will laugh.”
Shu Pan glanced at her with a touch of annoyance. “I couldn’t care less about what people think.”
Inside, Xiaong asked the doctor, “Doctor, my period is late, and I’ve been
experiencing nausea and chest tightness. I’d like to check if I’m pregnant.”
The kind elderly doctor replied, “Alright, I’ll write a prescription for you to get a urine test and a blood test.”
With that, the doctor handed Xiaong the prescription.
Ye Xiaong took the prescription sowhat nervously and went to do the tests as instructed by the doctor.
With Shu Pan’s help nearby, the tests went by quickly.
However, the wait for the results was agonizing.
Ye Xiaong tightly held Shu Pan’s hand, feeling her palms beco sweaty.
Unconsciously, more than half an hour passed, and Ye Xiaong tremblingly approached the lab window to collect the results.
As soon as she received them, she eagerly looked at them.
Instantly, her eyes slowly turned red, and she covered her mouth in disbelief. It was true; she had finally waited for her baby.
No one could understand the excitent and joy in her heart. This was the mont she had longed for.
Now she could face He Ming; he was going to be a dad. That fool should be ecstatic beyond words.
Seeing Ye Xiaong’s reaction, Shu Pan also guessed the outco, and she couldn’t help but be moved to tears.
This was wonderful; with a child on the way, everything would fall into place.
The two of them showed the results to the doctor.
“Congratulations, you’re pregnant. The values all appear normal now. Just make sure to co back for your prenatal checkups on ti,” the doctor said with a smile, knowing from their expressions that they had been eagerly anticipating this news.
“Thank you, doctor.” Even though they already knew the results, hearing it from a dical professional made all the difference..
