Gu Shaoting’s expression ant he was sowhat angry. He had wanted to enjoy a romantic mont with Shu Pan, but now, it had been interrupted; not only that, they had almost been hit by a ball. Were those people blind?

Couldn’t they see the two of them passing by?

This was truly absurd.

At this mont, a young girl ran over in a fluster and apologized, saying, "I’m sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose."

The girl looked to be in her early 20s, probably just starting out in her career. She was part of a group of friends on vacation, having a great ti.

They had been playing volleyball on the beach rather vigorously when the ball unexpectedly ca their way.

Shu Pan, nestled in Gu Shaoting’s arms, then said, "It’s okay, just be more careful next ti."

In fact, she was just a bit startled and not hurt, so she didn’t want to be overly harsh on others.

The young girl ca here to enjoy herself, and it wouldn’t be nice to let this incident dampen everyone’s spirits.

"Madam, I am so sorry, it was my carelessness," the girl suddenly looked up and when she saw Gu Shaoting, her gaze beca fixed.

She was instantly srized by the man before her.

The man appeared to be only around 40, but that’s when n are at their most mature and charming, and the man before her had a mature and stable look, with a hint of a domineering CEO aura.

And the woman in his arms was very gentle looking, giving off a very comfortable vibe, and she didn’t speak in an overbearing manner.

While the girl was lost in thought, suddenly Gu Shaoting spoke up, "Be more careful in the future; this is a pathway, why hit the ball towards here? What if you hit soone?"

Gu Shaoting was worried after the fact; if Shu Pan had been hit, the consequences would have been unthinkable.

Because the force of the ball was very strong, a hit to the head could have led to a concussion.

The more he thought about it, the more frightened he beca.

Gu Shaoting’s tone of voice couldn’t help but rise as he spoke.

Hearing this, Shu Pan tugged at his clothes, signaling for him not to get angry.

Actually, it really wasn’t serious, and no harm had been done anyway. Look how scared the young girl is, trembling as she stands there.

Gu Shaoting felt a serious lapse in composure. If the ball had co his way, perhaps he would have been more forgiving, but when it involved his wife, he was less inclined to be lenient.

She was his treasure, whom he held dear in the palm of his hand.

The girl was taken aback by the scolding and then pursed her lips, looking as if she was about to cry.

"Sir, I’m really sorry. Maybe we could take the lady to the hospital to check. If there are any injuries, I will compensate for them," blurted out the girl without knowing why she said it.

But she also knew that the ball hadn’t hit anyone; it was just a scare.

So, to show her sincerity, she said what she did.

Gu Shaoting’s brows knitted slightly, then he said, "Do we look like people who need money? Just make sure to be careful in the future. You wouldn’t be able to afford the consequences otherwise."

There was still a surge of irritation in Gu Shaoting’s heart.

The girl imdiately clamd up, knowing she had misspoken, so she didn’t dare make another peep.

Finally, Shu Pan stepped in to smooth things over, "It’s okay, go back to your ga. We’re leaving too."

After finishing her words, she took Gu Shaoting by the hand and walked forward.

The girl watched their retreating figures, thinking about how dominating and manly that man had just been.

The way he protected his woman was so attractive!
